That was one cold episode

Lock Jaw 06-01-2015 12:30 AM

Awww s**t, son... business has just picked up!

Four Horsemen debuted and Ric Flair with his best "come at me" pose while he raised the dead... badass...

Triple A 06-01-2015 02:31 AM

Pretty cool... high octane action...

love when the giant bros are featured...

white walker demon guy is cool

sux that there are only 2 episodes left... feels like stuff is "finally" starting to happen and it's almost over

gonna be a "cliffhanger" season I guess where a bunch of stuff is not resolved

ClockShot 06-01-2015 06:23 AM

Last night's episode was brought to you by.....

Good "mini action" episode last night.

Heisenberg 06-01-2015 10:59 AM

Ramsay only needs 20 men against Stannis and his army? Whoa now, he's not going over with that.

Tyrion sitting with MoD was done great, yet they should cut the crap and start their tag team. He had to bury Jorah and send him out of the city for his own good.

Jon Snow had a little sexual tension with the female wildling and she's a White Wolka now, missed opportunity, the send down to deadXt should do her good though.

Arya and Chris Kattan seem to be gelling into w/e the hell they do.

Cersei drank piss from the floor? I think it was water, but I only saw the woman standing there and figured she just had to pee cause she couldn't get anyone else to cover for her shift

Heisenberg 06-01-2015 11:10 AM

Olly(the kid who is in the Watch after his parents were killed by wildlings) showed disdain for Jon Snow combining stables with the very group of ppl who killed his parents. Gilly(sp?) left the room, but I think she stayed around to hear what this kid had to say, will Olly revenge kill her and young Sam?

Jorah wants the glory of the blood and sand before the stone disease ravages his Khalessi starved body and we may finally see an end to his story by season's end.

Interesting development in Valyrian steel, going to start investing in a sword

Heisenberg 06-01-2015 11:16 AM

My only gripe is that Wun Wun the Giant wasn't provided a Galleon to sail off on, that dude is going to freeze his nuts off in that giant body of water

I do. I hope he makes out okay :(
Kudos to the White Walkers for showing Jon just how one-sided this fight could be.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-05-2015 11:24 PM

I think the show is actually doing better at getting things set for an ending. The books still seem to be setting the Cyvasse pieces rather than the actual end game.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-05-2015 11:26 PM

Did the Adrian Neville of the Night's Watch survive? Action was hot and heavy and couldn't keep up.

Edit: Yes, he did survive. The Man the White Walkers Forgot.

After that episode last Sunday seriously I needed to just chill on my own for an hour to digest it, fuck

Heisenberg 06-08-2015 12:01 AM

Jesus tittyfucking christ, tonight's episode

Lock Jaw 06-08-2015 12:05 AM

Damn Stannis.... you sonuvab***h.... out of all the terrible despicable things done on this show that has to be right up there...

Mega heel turn.... but he is going to fight Ramsay Bolton who himself is a huge despicable heel....

Then we get Meryn Trant in a brothel looking for underage chicks in this episode too.... high amount of terrible things going on in the episode...

So naturally we had to have an "uplifting" moment at the end (after more mass carnage).

Heisenberg 06-08-2015 12:11 AM

I think Jaime was a top babyface this episode besides MoD? Good lord, the Kingslayer who pushed a kid off a tower is a top babyface of an episode, let that sink in

Lock Jaw 06-08-2015 12:13 AM

Arya still a top face(less). Hope she gets to slay Meryn Trant in the season finale.

Heisenberg 06-08-2015 12:17 AM

The way shit is going, the White Walkers might end up being the Faces

Lock Jaw 06-08-2015 12:21 AM

They are there to "save the world" from the constant torture and war that is life.

Heisenberg 06-08-2015 12:22 AM

Stannis, you son of a bitch!!! You were supposed to be the chosen one!!

Lock Jaw 06-08-2015 12:35 AM

Books discussion

SPOILER: show
I wonder if the show even introduces Young Griff/Aegon Targaryn... they have done a lot of things differently with the entire Mereen storyline (but ended up in pretty much the same point now). I wonder if the show will choose to be more "focused" and just not introduce another Targaryn.

They have left out all the Iron Islands stuff and Quentyn Martell too.

Quentyn didn't really do much other than to show that Prince Doran wasn't really with the Lannisters. Maybe next season they could still bring in Aegon, but just have it be that he's been hiding in Dorne or somewhere else kept by Prince Doran....

Innovator 06-08-2015 10:27 AM

SPOILER: show

Unless Aegon is a big swerve at the end of the episode, I think he's getting the Strong Belwas axe.

I think I saw a casting call for the Iron Islands for Season 6.

If Jon gets "For The Watch'd" next episode, I can't wait to see Wun Wun wreck shit

Holy mother fuck at that whole episode. The ending visual was intense.

ClockShot 06-08-2015 04:14 PM

The North is just one big toss up now. Ramsay Bolton got the job done and Stannis lost all his votes for Father of the Year. Can't choose a side since we hate both guys. Unless Davos goes on a god damn rampage when he hears the news.

Got a bad feeling at Castle Black. Something big is gonna go down. Not exactly sure what.

Did anyone else think Mace Tyrell was going to get the Fredo Corleone treatment on his way to Braavos? I sure did.

Innovator 06-08-2015 04:31 PM

I think one of Trant's orders is for Mace to not return

That cocksucker Stannis has lost all my support HOLY SHIT what fucking throne is worth that?

Gray 06-09-2015 09:42 AM

The arena battle was unexpected for me, though the ending. The fuck kind of ending was that? Danaeres mounts the dragon and then pisses off while her group stay surrounded pretty much since there was still lots of Harpies around?

Stannis, i was beginning to like him! Could see it coming though.

Triple A 06-09-2015 10:20 AM

How come people even liked Stannis in the first place... always seemed really unlikeable to me

He is determined, single-minded ,dry in conversation to the point of being unintentionally funny sometimes.

He is also A 5 star badass who seems unappreciated and overlooked by everyone. His claim to the throne is legit Baratheon line-wise and he has shown that as a leader he is fair (torching unbelievers aside if you can put such a thing aside)

But this was just all kinds of fucked up I think his sanity is slipping too.

Ultra Mantis 06-09-2015 01:42 PM

Stannis has always been a horrible dude, killing his little brother with blood magic rather than facing him in battle legit and then bringing about the red wedding / purple wedding which caused a lot of death and suffering for many fan favourites. Shireen was him losing his last shred of humanity and decency, and it was horrible to watch. One of the most gut wrenching deaths in the entire series.

Oh shit I forgot he offed his far more likeable brother.

The Destroyer 06-09-2015 04:41 PM

Yeah but his brother wasn't the rightful heir and refused to bend the knee. He got what was coming to him.

I did like Renly though.

KIRA 06-09-2015 05:17 PM

I wonder if he is just gonna snap I mean he has horribly killed people who were guilty of nothing more than disbelief killed his baby brother and now this how has he not completely lost it? (His wife might be gone she was already a candidate for the laughing academy before this)
And man what will Sir Davos think?

Also I'm starting to think Denarys is mentally linked to her...children.

Lock Jaw 06-09-2015 07:00 PM

Sir Davos was sent away before the burning. Stannis probably knew that Davos would have tried something to save Shireen, or maybe would even have been able to talk him out of it.

I think he gets "For the Watched" so he can be brought back by the Lord of Light like Dondarion/Stoneheart.

He is alive now but died so his vows for the Night's Watch are finished. He can then turn ultra face and be the leader of the army against the White Walkers without having to be hold to any vow he made before dying.

Lock Jaw 06-15-2015 12:47 AM

You'd think that they would have killed Jon Snow before they let all the wildlings through the gate if they were gonna do it...

I think Melisandre brings Jon Snow back to life.... his story can't be over....

Lock Jaw 06-15-2015 12:49 AM

Would have been hilarious if before collpasing, Jon Snow said "...but I'm not even wearing a watch...."

Wow....

Just about everyone had some sort of cliffhanger. I hope what STD said happens. I want an ultra face to root for. Everyone else to like is either in peril or not at full strength.

Where did Littlefinger go btw? He was all over the first half of the season. I thought we were going to get some idea of what his end game was.

Lock Jaw 06-15-2015 01:00 AM

Good point about Littlefinger... so much happening that I pretty much forgot about the dude....

I think he was last seen manipulating the Tyrells into helping him take Winterfell from whoever was left standing after Stannis/Bolton got finished.

Triple A 06-15-2015 01:34 AM

Damn that episode was packed with a lot of stuff. Feel pi$$ed off that the next season is so far away.

Where did Sansa and Theon jump... I didn't get what was going on there... like was it a pile of fluffy snow... I don't think they were "offing" themselves right

Arya thing was cool... good payoff... she's not dead right...

There's still a few things from the books not covered, but I feel like if they were gonna do it, it woulda been done already. Also some stuff completely different than the books, but I think pretty much all the main characters are caught up with where they leave off in the last book.

What are they gonna do then? Write new stuff and break off from the book or wait for the new book? Or I heard he gave them like a basic outline of what's supposed to happen...

I think he gave them a basic outline, but the showrunners have said they might not follow it exactly.... Which is no surprise because they haven't been following the books exactly.... the major plot points and "ending" will prob be the same as the upcoming books, though.

Is it safe to read the posts on the last couple of pages that were "book spoilers" now

Lock Jaw 06-15-2015 01:45 AM

No it is not. We were discussing stuff from the books that they left out, but that they could maybe introduce later (but maybe won't).

Who's excited for her new bodyguard?

Triple A 06-15-2015 02:40 AM

I know Sansa's scenes this season were supposed to be some other character. What was Sansa doing in the books then? Don't care if it's a spoiler really unless it's something pretty major...

KIRA 06-15-2015 03:07 AM

There will be two kinds of people left in the seven kingdoms when this is all over the dying and the dead.

I'll just say Lena Headey wins the episode last night. I'll have a full synopsis sometime later.

FrankenMountain lives! Keeping his mouth shut until "All the Queen's enemies are destroyed." Rusev & Lana 2.0 for next season.

Going back to watch the season a few weeks from now, especially since the finale had too much to take in. Think Chris Kattan was playing mindgames with Arya and ended up taking her soul or something. Not sure

Think it's pretty likely. Can see Jon being the prophesied hero that Melisandre throught Stannis was and it's taken her til now to realise that she was backing the wrong horse.

Tom Guycott 06-15-2015 07:01 PM

Yeah, if Ollie can get ran through, fall off a mountain, and still get back on the road to banging Felicity in Arrow "in the real world", Jon doesn't die from a few pinpricks in a world where magic and raising the dead has already been established.

Ruien 06-15-2015 07:08 PM

Jon's death might be the end for me unless he comes back. There are other characters I like but he was the last one I was invested into. Sonya is the goods too but she gets to little television time and needs to start taking charge. If neither of these happen I won't be getting HBO to watch the show again.

ClockShot 06-15-2015 07:28 PM

Random thoughts. No spoiler tags so read at your own risk.

HOLY PLOTHOLES AND HIGH BODY COUNTS, BATMAN!

Stannis had it coming. Didn't know how, but with half his army turning tail, and the Boltons waiting for him, he didn't stand a chance. Obviously, we'll wait until next season to see in Brienne lobbed his head off.

I think Sansa and Theon survived their jump. I'm assuming there's 10 feet of fluffy snow to cushion the landing.

Sand Snakes get the last laugh. War between the Martells and Lannisters is inevitable. No surprise, then again, that was a lousy arc from start to finish.

Tyrion and Varys should go hang a sign on the front gate of Meereen that says "Under New Management".

Those last few minutes.......god damn. I mean, I know Pompeii was a flop at the box office. But that doesn't mean Kit Harrington should get killed for it. Red Witch showing up gives hope. But she lost some credibility for running out on Stannis. Not sure what her game is. The Wildlings will not take this act laying down.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-15-2015 07:28 PM

It would be cool if Sonya challenged Ramsay to Mortal Kombat!

It's Sansa though so it probably won't happen.

Book Spoiler

SPOILER: show

Pretty dumb they didn't tease the Bastard Vs. Bastard showdown as the reason for the Night's Watch attack. The book made it clear that they had no choice but were pained. Snow was breaking his vows to get involved after Ramsay Bolton's message of Stannis defeat (unconfirmed to actually have happened in the book) Just a heel attack with the little kid being involved.

Ultra Mantis 06-16-2015 08:22 AM

If that's the last time we ever see Jon Snow it's just plain bad story telling, his death leaves a lot of loose ends never to be resolved and pretty much brings the entire white walkers arc to a grinding halt.

Stannis also went out with a whimper, if Brienne really killed him it seems way too rushed / convenient.

Heisenberg 06-16-2015 08:39 AM

There's the chance that we'll get swerved and The Night's Watch will continue their disrespect by not burning Jon Snow and toss him over the Wall. The White Walkers will raise him and we'll see the end of the crows for sure. Olly will be impaled on a spike or decimated with a iceball.

Game of Thrones Casts Ian McShane in Season 6

http://www.albawaba.com/sites/defaul...ian-mchane.jpg

The former Deadwood star will have a small but key role

Emmy-winning British actor Ian McShane is joining the cast of Game of Thrones in season 6.

The former Deadwood star’s role is still mysterious. It will be a small role, but it will still be important, Entertainment Weekly reports.

New episodes of Game of Thrones are set to air in the spring. HBO recently said the show would last at least eight seasons, though the showrunners have said they only want to make seven.

ClockShot 08-04-2015 08:07 AM
