Dazz 04-30-2004 02:42 PM

Ha, you can tell how little I look at the bottom half of the table. Nah I do check really, :$, I thought they were 2 points below, I forgot bout their 2-1 win on the weekend, and you only drawing with Citeh.

I don't have the link anymore, or the clip on my PC. And I think Citeh may still go down.

Wengerland 04-30-2004 03:51 PM

Wolves actually drew with Birmingham at the weekend :$!!!!!

They've been level since beating Boro.

If City win and Leeds lose its over for leeds, technically they could survive but to do it they'd have to claw back a 35 goal difference in 2 games.

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 02:15 AM

:wavesad: Bye Leeds

So will this Krasner guy like, help Leeds avoid administration? Because yeah, I think any team in the Nationwide league loses like 9 competition points for going into administration. They could even end up in div 2 :-\

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 07:06 AM

Yeah just a question for the Chelsea dudes here

Like if I'm watching a game at the Bridge, and it's showing left of screen, which stand is that?

Rob 05-01-2004 08:19 AM

Arsenal are now being linked with David Beckham. So now it's him, Gerrard, Owen and Terry. Where are they getting all this money from? They couldn't afford one of them nevermind the lot.

Why have I got this feeling that David Beckham might just be wearing a Manchester United shirt again next season?

Wengerland 05-01-2004 08:22 AM

I read in the express about Beckham, they said they couldn't afford him but i think Real might be tempted by maybe Ljunberg plus a bit of money.

Sorry but unless Ferguson apologises then i can't see Beckham back at United any time soon.

I *think* it's the Darren Mantle stand. :shifty:

Nah it's probably the Matthew Harding stand. ;)

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 08:56 AM

I'll admit I haven't seen like, any of Beckham since he left ManYoo

But would you really rather have him on your team than Ljungberg?

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 08:58 AM

Brum game not being shown here on TV

Know any live text sites on the net?

Mr. Monday Morning 05-01-2004 08:59 AM

We're not down yet, Citeh's form is woeful, I dunno if they'll make 38 points.

It's unlikely I know but we're capable of beating Everton and Spurs at home...we'll need at least a point at Newcastle tho :$

Go <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/">here</a> and you can listen to live commentary on 5 Live

Wengerland 05-01-2004 09:22 AM

Birmingham are just focusing on stopping Arsenal, looks like being 0-0 at half time.

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 09:26 AM

Which gives me enough time to reinstall real player

Cheers MMM

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 09:41 AM

WTF no legal right to webcast live?

Rob 05-01-2004 09:41 AM

I'd have Beckham over Ljungberg any day

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 09:47 AM

Enjoy :)

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 10:15 AM

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 10:22 AM

Trophies won by *insert Rob's team here* this season?

Wengerland 05-01-2004 10:28 AM

That was possibly the most boring game of the season.:$

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 10:32 AM

35 unbeaten, tho :$

Chelsea v Soton in half hour - predictions?

Wengerland 05-01-2004 10:51 AM

I'll go for 3-1 to Chelsea.

COME ON NEWCASTLE

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 10:58 AM

Yeah.

Mang if City wins, Leeds are screwed too

Wengerland 05-01-2004 11:16 AM

Wolves are losing to Everton also :(

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 11:27 AM

*runs*

Wengerland 05-01-2004 11:36 AM

toxic rooster 05-01-2004 11:53 AM

Gee, they're thumping in the goals today.

2 goals in 7 games

Good work, guys.

Arsenal always had the money they were just being extremely cautious because they had to put up the money for the new stadium. They secured the funding a while ago and then they bought Reyes. Wouldnt be surprised to see them spend 20m+ this summer.

Wengerland 05-01-2004 12:31 PM

I reckon Dazz can remember it better,i think it was just in an MSN convo and he mis-spelt WWEngland as Wengerland and just took it from there.

1-1 Leicester now.:'(

:'( :'( :'( :'(

A draw at Charlton is ok though,so it gives me some optimism for next year.

Just can't stop thinking of the stupid points we've dropped though.

Wengerland 05-01-2004 01:04 PM

Yeah i'll be glad we'll be getting better referee's next season.

Interesting to see that you haven't included that scrawny piece of sh</>it Mike Riley on that list, and Graham Poll is on it.... hmmm, I wonder why.

Hard luck Leicester and Wolves, both sides have really tried this season, and I'm gutted for both sides, I think you'll both be back up next season though.

Jamma 05-01-2004 01:41 PM

Norwich 3 - 2 Preston :D

Iwan Roberts last game, didn't score but got a 15 minute ovation. It's a shame to see him go.

We now only need one point from the last two games to be champs :y:

Wengerland 05-01-2004 01:53 PM

Honestly can't see Leeds winning tomorrow, though it depends if Viduka's available,so i think they'll be down.

Only thing going to the last day will be the 4th place by the looks of things.

jesus f</>ucking christ.

9 losses is f</>ucking ridiculous.

It was because Johnny Vanilla (or some other retard) called you Wengerland ages ago.

Anyways, onto footy, same old stuff everyone said about Wolves and Leicester, unlucky and chin up basically. Leeds must be down. Chelsea MUST finish 2nd, and what a great second half to the game, made up for the first half. LOL at Crainey scoring an own goal on his debut for the Saints.

Like Packt Up said, there are plenty of shit refs, Mark Halsey is IMO the worst.

And Wee Gooner, I am not sure what you meant about the left side, if its what I think you meant, it is the Shed end, as the video images are shown on the same side that the players come out, and the goal to the left is the Shed End (south stand).

Dazz 05-02-2004 12:39 AM

And By god Leon Knight is the man, I thought this at the start of the season to, why the hell didn't we hold on to him,.

Because much like Rennie and Styles, Graham Poll is extremely petty. He'll miss a bone crunching challenge but then book people for kicking the ball away. Riley hasn't stuck in my nind this season but if someone reminds me of instances... ?

Rob 05-02-2004 10:02 AM

I'd be more worried about hanging on to Colin Cameron.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 11:03 AM

Bolton 0-1 Leeds.

Thats at half time, but Viduka is off again. After he scored from the penalty spot.

Penalty was fairly like the one against Leicester yesterday, but what i'm having trouble understanding is how was Dabizas sent off when there wa another defender in the middle and in this game there was no other defenders within 10 yards and it's just a booking.:-\

yianni 05-02-2004 11:58 AM

Leeds are gone. 4-1 to Bolton.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 12:08 PM

Yeah,it was quite sad in the end.

Hard luck Leeds,seeya next season.

btw their fans were pretty good today.:y:

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 12:20 PM

*shudders to think how many fans would be left in Arsenal's section should they ever be down 4-1 against Bolton in a game they need to win to avoid relegation*

*doesn't want to think about it*

Wengerland 05-02-2004 01:01 PM

0-0 at half time between Liverpool and Boro.

Quite a good 0-0 though.:o

Dazz 05-02-2004 01:35 PM

2-0.

Liverpool have been brilliant, they have had loads of chances and their play has been good to watch. Owen and Kewell especially.

Dazz 05-02-2004 01:39 PM

Oh yeah, CHEERIO CHEERIO CHEERIO, bye bye Leeds, couldn't be happier that they went down, what made it funnier was the players and fans crying, that really put me in a good mood. :D

What amuses me is that Villa are now in contention for fourth place, and O'Leary has spent barley anything, and Leeds are down and have spent ridicoulus money over the last 3 years. I always thought O'Leary deserved to be sacked, but this season, and last season too, has proven otherwise.

Chin up Leeds. Ahahahaha.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 01:48 PM

So, Leeds went down eh

Dazz 05-02-2004 01:50 PM

Yeah you lost your bet.

And you still havent explained properley what you meant about the left side at stamford bridge, (read the bottom of post #1640)

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:01 PM

Yeah what I meant by that was, what is the name of that stand?

When I watch the game here, it's the one behind the goal at the left of screen, I need to know the name of it. I assume we get the same pictures on TV.

What else does Dazz need to know?

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:03 PM

Right, basically, watch the highlights of the game against Southampton, the goal which we didn't score in is the one we have on the left over here, thats the Shed End (south stand).

If you name a game and a goal I'll tell you which stand it was scored in front of.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:25 PM

OK, Eidur in the CL against Arsenal

That's the end I want to know

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:26 PM

That is the Shed End (South Stand).

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:29 PM

Fantastic dude.

I wonder how much rep power I have...:-\

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:35 PM

I got repped one minute later by someone else, so I dunno, plus I wouldn't have known anyone, also, I tried to rep you bout half hour ago but I couldn't. If you have any other questions, just ask, I can prolly answer about 99.9% of your questions.

Back to football, Just watching the Leeds game now, Viduka :|. LOL at Ian Harte scoring an own goal, also, the way he scored the own goal was funny. The little boy with tits and 'Leeds Till I die' written on his body is about the only Leeds fan I even partyl feel sorry for, but I still laughed at him.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:39 PM

I didn't actually see the second yellow - was it worthy?

I tend to laugh at people that are crying, I'm such a sadist. But then again, I don't have to live the rest of my life with the emotional scars of being on TV without a shirt and crying and stuff

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:42 PM

It was definitley worthy, the ball was in the air, and Viduka went for the header, but just before he does it, you can see him look where the Bolton player is, and then swing his left arm in his face, but as Viduka got the ball, so he thought it looked like it was an accident so was shocked he got sent off, but it was definitley worth at least a booking.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 02:43 PM

Yeah the second yellow was an elbow on N'Gotty.Definetly deserved,if not a straight red.

I felt sorry for Smith aswell, but then again if i was playing for Leicester or something in that situation i would offer to play for less.

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:44 PM

Yeah I'd like to what Alan 'Mr Leeds' Smith does now.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 02:44 PM

In other news i read in the paper today (NOTW :$) that Pompey want Izzet.Which would be the only club i would actually be happy for him to go to.

Rob 05-02-2004 02:45 PM

Yeah it was probably a yellow but not a red. By the letter of the law, he had to go though.

Why we keep being linked with Viduka baffles me. The guy is nothing in my opinion. Alan Smith is ten times better but he won't go to us either.

Leeds going down :D Very good day!

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:45 PM

I'd like to think that if I was in that situation I'd be all like "I've got a pile of money anyway, I'll play for free", but I'm not in that situation, so :-\

IZZET....IT IS!!!!!

But never <i>never</i> trust News of The World :nono:

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:46 PM

Yeah I read that too.

Did you read that Barry Fry wants Peterborough to strike a deal with Victoria and David Beckham, which would mean Peterborough has 'Posh and Becks' as their sponsor next season. but :| at the same time.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 02:49 PM

yeah,lol that would be odd.

I do like Peterborough but within the last few years Victoria has tried to sue them over the posh nickname so i don't think they should be trying that again.

Rob 05-02-2004 02:49 PM

Why would anyone play for free? It's a business and if the business is making money then you deserve to make money. If bad business decisions take the business into administration then why should the players suffer?

This is coming from a Dundee fan and my team is £15 million in the hole but I don't think the players should play for free either. It's a job and you deserve to be paid for it.

Wengerland 05-02-2004 02:52 PM

Yeah i wouldn't play for free cause at the end of the day you have to provide for yourself and most likely a family at some point.

Just maybe a drop to about £8,000 or something,i should think that's affordable. for Leeds and Smith.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:52 PM

That's why I said "I'd like to think" that's what I'd do.

What that DOESN'T account for is your whole argument, which is what I was trying to say

Dazz 05-02-2004 02:53 PM

Yeah its hard to do things if you ar ein that situation, I'd like to think that if I played for Chelsea I would ask for like £2000 a week. but really if I did get offered a contract, I woud prolly want like £30,000.

Apparently, Leeds might have points docked going into next season, because as of when they are offically relegated (next game) they are then controlled by the football league, and as they are in administration, they get points docked. Stupid rule if you ask me.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 02:55 PM

Is that what they call "kicking him when he's down"?

Wengerland 05-02-2004 02:57 PM

Yeah, all they should do is maybe put a transfer embargo thing over them until they are satisfied.Maybe let them buy a few guys who are free.

I am quite biased though cause of what happened here, but any points docked should be a maximum of 3,imo.

toxic rooster 05-02-2004 03:00 PM

Can Leeds come straight back up?

Or will they even get relegated again if they lost points (9 I believe)?

I suppose I'd rather my team be playing in Div 1 and banging 5 goals past sub-standard opponents every week than all this grief just trying to survive

Cactus Sid 05-02-2004 03:36 PM

Thank fu</>ck Leeds are down, they deserved everything they got, hell, even Wolves are ahead of them now.

Also, Liverpool  I was looking at the team thinking, with the exception of Kewell, that is the exact same side that won the League Cup Final last season, and we were amazing, stuttered for about 15 minutes in the Second Half, but that is the best I have seen us play this season. Its a shame it took Houllier 34 Games to work out what our best team was.
