Gonzo 09-26-2005 09:08 PM

He is pretty accurate I think but he has no arm strength. I don't know if he was playing hurt on Sunday but on the two long throws I saw they were short, the receivers had to come back for them, but couldn't get to them.

RoXer 09-26-2005 09:41 PM

This is Cortez's like 3rd missed EP though. I remember he missed 2 with San Fran.

Gonzo 09-26-2005 09:50 PM

Missing EP's as an NFL kicker is terrible. Remember when Carney missed one and kept the Saints out of the playoffs? LOL.

RoXer 09-26-2005 09:54 PM

Yeah. I still think that was intentional.

road doggy dogg 09-26-2005 09:57 PM

Yeah that Carney FG was the most ROFL thing in NFL EVER. They did that insane crazy return to supposedly tie the game, and make the playoffs, then he missed the extra point, that was so piss funny

BCWWF 09-26-2005 10:04 PM

I don't get how an NFL kicker can miss an extra point. The kickers at my high school probably made 15/20 on average, if not better, for any legit D-1A team a extra point is basically automatic, but then in the pro's you have guys like Doug Brien who misses them. WTF.

BCWWF 09-26-2005 10:45 PM

So there was a clock mistake in the Patriots game. Apparently there was an extra 52 seconds added onto the fourth quarter.

Gonzo 09-26-2005 10:52 PM

Yeah forgot about the return in the Saints game to tie it up. Ridiculous.

Skippord 09-26-2005 11:29 PM

FuCK FuCK FuCK FuCK Smith noooooooooooooooooooooo

FearedSanctity 09-26-2005 11:38 PM

He looks like he'll be OK though, thankfully

CNM 09-27-2005 12:16 AM

Broncos kick Chorf ass. What a suprise

RP 09-27-2005 01:41 AM

I think Cortez was yelling at the snapper because he thought the snapper messed the snap up. Allen turned around and nearly took his head off.

That Harrison injury is huge. He was your swagger.

el fregadero 09-27-2005 03:14 AM

Probably won't affect them that much. They have done pretty well with no Bruschi this year, and did pretty well last year when they used waterboys at corner.

VonErich Lives 09-27-2005 03:44 AM

Yeah, Harrison will hurt or more the combo of 2 of your ventran leaders, plus Ted Johnson gone.

Mcginist and seymour will probably become the "leaders" on defense. Wilson will need to step it up, fast.

Light worries me more, putting a rookie at Left Tackle, will also force our TE's to stay in to block, when Watson should be down field destroying DB's.

As for missing XP's, how? Simple "it happens" no one is perfect, bad snap, field conditions, wind, wrong spot, no one is perfect.

As for Pennington (can't believe I'm defending a Jet) he's not a bad QB, he finished last season injured, has played not 100% this year.

The big problem is, the guy gets hurt every year, so no one really knows. I think if healthy for a year, he'd be fine, Not a Manning/Brady but in the 2nd tier of QB's.

Crimson 09-27-2005 11:38 AM

Well history shows injuries don't affect the Pats, but Rodney is just a presence on that secondary, his rep alone made recievers think twice.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-27-2005 03:09 PM

Week 4 schedule (for discussion, obviously)

Sunday Oct. 2
Buffalo at New Orleans (San Antonio, TX)
Denver at Jacksonville
Detroit at Tampa Bay
Houston at Cincinnati
Indianapolis at Tennessee
San Diego at New England
Seattle at Washington
St. Louis at N.Y. Giants
N.Y. Jets at Baltimore
Dallas at Oakland
Minnesota at Atlanta
Philadelphia at Kansas City
San Francisco at Arizona

Monday, Oct. 3
Green Bay at Carolina

Not too many standouts but I guess Philly at KC is the one to watch. Denver-Jacksonville and Minnesota-Atlanta should be interesting too.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-27-2005 03:16 PM

God people need to chill out about the Bengals already. I mean I love them but seriously let's wait a couple weeks before declaring them Super Bowl contenders.

RP 09-27-2005 03:17 PM

Edge might get 200 yards running if the Titans decide to play us like we are throwing hail mary's every play. Like the past two teams have played us.

San Diego vs New England will be really good. Honestly i think anything LT will be good.

Loose Cannon 09-27-2005 03:50 PM

LOL, Pennington is done for the season

Vinny T has come back.

fuckin Yankees better win this shit now cause football is fucked

Nervous Ferret 09-27-2005 03:52 PM

Vinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny

RP 09-27-2005 03:55 PM

The Jets backfield is gunna be drawing medicare soon.

Nervous Ferret 09-27-2005 03:56 PM

Brooks Bollinger is starting this Sunday @ Baltimore, ad it looks like Vinny will take over for the rest of the season. Or until Fiedlers healthy, but theres a chance he might not come back either.

Nervous Ferret 09-27-2005 03:56 PM

pressure is on Curtis to salvage any kind of season at all. :'(

road doggy dogg 09-27-2005 03:57 PM

LOL Fiedler out for the season too, tough break :'(

Who knows...But it's a rivalry game, no matter what the standings and playoff race look like.

FearedSanctity 09-27-2005 09:00 PM

I don't think of the Broncos/Cheifs as much of a rivalry. If anything it's a Broncos/Kennison rivalry

My new goal for the Jets is to finish with a better record than the Giants. And even that is in question now. :(

OssMan 09-27-2005 10:49 PM

sup

Nervous Ferret 09-27-2005 10:51 PM

status bet Assman? At the end of the year, when the Giants have a worse record, you have to use a Jets avatar until, ah, I'll say the NFL draft in April. If the Jets have a worse record I'll sport a Giants avatar until the draft.

DEAL?

Nervous Ferret 09-27-2005 10:52 PM

I'll take Gonzo up on that if Assman declines

OssMan 09-27-2005 11:15 PM

I don't really hate the Jets
