You know, DMac, I bet they'll never have a Metallica album for DLC because Metallica are money whores and the licensing fees for an entire album would be so ridiculous that you'd need to pay like 5000 points.

D Mac 04-27-2008 05:12 PM

Id pay 10,000 :shifty:

Funky Fly 04-27-2008 05:14 PM

And that's why they do it. Because you'll pay anything as long as you get your Metallica fix. Fucking crackhead.

Fuck I'm amazed KISS songs get in, let alone Metallica songs. They're concert tickets are ridiculously expensive too.

U-Warrior 04-27-2008 11:24 PM

Funky, they already have the liscense for 15 songs.

Like I said, they are prolly gonna coincide it with the release of the new album, as one of the songs from it has been confirmed as dlc.

Funky Fly 04-28-2008 01:46 AM

Must have cost a small fortune for 15 songs.

D Mac 04-28-2008 07:02 AM

Fuel was also announced a while back. Where it is, who knows.

Is it weird that I'm not interested in like any of those songs really.

Which, of course, is why we've already had songs.

Anyway, who are the Mother Hips? I saw the new DLC and the name rings a bell....

Feul was announced by OXM, not by Harmonix. Get a grip.

One of the bonus songs. The Time We Had is by them

U-Warrior 04-29-2008 10:56 AM

Yeah, besides that, they were really only popular in california. Pretty good band tho.

Red Tandy is a must buy. Really fun on all instruments.

Kane Knight 04-29-2008 12:16 PM

I just realised I technically could have previewed the songs anyway. I keep forgetting about the in-game store because I'm so used to it not being there.

Mister Sinister 05-03-2008 08:08 PM

Does that include shaking the ropes, until my brain turns to liquid putty?

Plus I'm sorry, I didn't go into a huge KK like rant to try to clarify and confuse everyone at the same time.

Kane Knight 05-03-2008 10:07 PM

Was told in Game that if I wanted to buy Rock Band then I'd need to pre-order it as they wont get any stock in for general sale due to it being bulky.

I'd advise getting it from Play.com. The Instrument Pack is £99 and the game is £40 so altogether it's about £30 cheaper then if you bought from somewhere else. Also use the code experience08 for a 5% Discount. It's not much I know but it's better then paying the £180 everywhere else expects you to.

Disturbed316 05-06-2008 04:15 PM

Not bad, but I got about £150 credit at Game, so thats the only reason why I'm getting it from there.

Ah probably best then, I used my reward card to get the game itself. So I'm only paying for the Instruments themselves.

"Starting Sunday 5/4 pre-order the new album Indestructible on BestBuy.com and get a code to redeem "Inside The Fire" and "Indestructible" on June 3 for Xbox 360 RockBand for free."

Quick note: this is from the Disturbed site. We haven't totally nailed down which tracks are going to be available yet, but we'll let you know when we do.

If you pre-order the album online at BestBuy.com, you will receive a code which you may later use to redeem two free Disturbed tracks (as I said earlier, TBD) on Xbox Live. The promotion itself is exclusive to the Xbox 360, however, the Disturbed tracks will be publicly available for both platforms simultaneously, even if you do not opt into this special.

They will also be available separately, as singles, or as a bundled pack. Stay tuned, and if you have questions, please keep them to this thread. Thank

U-Warrior 05-13-2008 11:14 AM

Sweetness.

Disturbed316 05-13-2008 06:59 PM

Interesting. I wonder what DLC will be available at launch when its released over here.

Tornado 05-14-2008 11:40 AM

Harmonix have confirmed that ALL the currently available DLC will be up for PAL users to download starting Mon 27th May, and then we get all new DLC at the same time as the americans.

jcmoorehead 05-14-2008 12:07 PM

That's pretty awesome then. What DLC would you guys who have already played it recomend. Will definately be getting the Rush and Coheed & Cambria Tracks

Disturbed316 05-14-2008 12:16 PM

Holy crap thats awesome, better get some points.

Harmonix announces Rock Band II
By Phil May - 15 May 08
You're officially going to need a bigger garage...!

Harmonix has announced that Rock Band is about to get a sequel, and a "fully fledged sequel in line with the sort of sequel you'd expect from other big game names" sayeth Harmonix. As yet they're playing things quite close to their chest with no massive announcement about new or updated peripherals (it's about time someone gave you something wilder, guitar wise, than just a Fender or Gibson knock off, don't you think?)

The sequel's scheduled for 2009 and will feature the same downloadable content sharing dynamic as the first title. More details when we get 'em.

Evil Vito 05-15-2008 03:01 PM

<font color=goldenrod>This is getting to be ridiculous. GH, GH2, GH3, GH4, RB, RB2...millions of peripherals.</font> :o
