That's a problem that seems to persist with most people making the jump to the main roster: their gimmick doesn't come with them. Half the time, they treat NXT as its own entity. At times, this is a good thing... but it is inconsistent. Both of IRS's kids made the jump doing what they were doing to begin with, but then they pull stuff like stripping Paige and Big E Langston* of their respective gimmicks (Anti-Diva and the 5 count) and just make them generic roster filler. If it's working, they should keep it. If it isn't, THEN they should try something else. For example, Emma needs something more to her on the main roster than the dancing and the bubbles, because the smaller, more intimate crowd at NXT "got" the gimmick, while the mass of humanity on the larger stage of WWE doesn't really.

Speaking of generic roster filler: Rusev. Jesus. I'd rather see that broom HHH wanted to wrestle have a hardcore title match against La Parka's chair than keep suffering through this shit. Lana having nice legs, making him a "Russian" Kurt Angle/Iron Shiek/Yokozuna/Samoa Joe/Nikoli Volkoff hybrid, and flashing pics of Putin on the titantron doesn't translate into the need to be eating up so much TV time trying to shoehorn such an over-the-top old school heel (and not ironically either- they're playing it straight) into a world that doesn't want to see it and would only make some sort of sense if they made Swagger turn face from and go back to being an American American American American again. Like Bandit Keith.

Regarding NXT, I made this post a while ago : NXT is a glorified Indy show with the same douchebag fans like TNA's Asylum. The gimmicks don't translate well at all. They HAVE to start taking NXT on the road to get a better gauge of the talent. It's made to fail.

All I know is that, IF they do turn Swagger face with this guy and it draws, I BETTER get a cut, as I literally suggested it a month or so ago. :shifty:
