Chip Kelly was a really horrible GM for them.

Crimson 03-07-2016 09:06 PM

Smart of them not to trade him back to Dallas at least.

#1-norm-fan 03-08-2016 10:45 AM

I don't think they'd be able to trade him back to Dallas anyway. Surprised they even found any team to take that contract off their hands.

ClockShot 03-08-2016 11:52 AM

Calvin Johnson officially retires.

Emperor Smeat 03-08-2016 04:15 PM

Malik Jackson expected to a sign a 6 year, $90 million deal with the Jags.

Jason Pierre-Paul expected to sign a 1 year, $10.5 million deal with the Giants. Cardinals were also interested in him but their late bid wasn't enough to sway his decision.

According to ESPN, the Brock Osweiller expected to decide between the Broncos and Texans for a new deal. Recently rejected the original offer the Broncos gave.

ClockShot 03-08-2016 04:34 PM

Broncos D-line players cashing in. Broncos also cut Owen Daniels. Which means are we really going with Virgil Green?

Now Brock has me worried. If he goes I really, REALLY don't Elway to go after Robert Griffin the has-been. Gotta be someone else out there. Draft ain't promising for QBs this year, right?

Crimson 03-08-2016 06:10 PM

Brock is an idiot if he leaves Denver.

Droford 03-08-2016 06:53 PM

I'm not sure how i feel about Osemele going to Oakland..what ever i guess

I would assume Denver would get some average pocket passer if Brock leaves. Hell, get Weedon or someone like that. As long as they don't blow the games then they are fine.

Ruien 03-08-2016 07:29 PM

Still think Dallas would have made the playoffs if they stuck with Weedon too.

ClockShot 03-08-2016 07:39 PM

Mario Williams on his way to Miami.

road doggy dogg 03-08-2016 07:41 PM

Supposedly they plan on keeping Cameron Wake too

that's a looooot of money tied up on their D-line...

Why would you think that?

Is Vernon Davis just completely out of the conversation already?

Evil Vito 03-08-2016 09:29 PM

Charles Johnson admits that he came really close to signing with the Giants, but took a discount to stay in Carolina. God dammit...

Evil Vito 03-08-2016 09:47 PM

Already the oldest player in the league, Adam Vinatieri is going to keep on going as he signs a 2-year extension with Indy.

Weird to think that he's going to officially be a Colt longer than he was a Patriot.

Chris Ivory set to sign a deal with the Jags once free agency starts.

Mmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmm.

Wasn't really a factor. Dropped some key passes that could have won us an extra game or 2.

Owen Daniels was better, and he got released.

Evil Vito 03-09-2016 08:40 AM

Janoris Jenkins to the Giants

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 09:50 AM

Lions already hard at work trying to replace Calvin... Marvin Jones signed

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 09:52 AM

Reportedly for about $8M/year... not a bad signing, considering I've been hearing stuff like Benjamin possibly getting $7M. I'll take Jones at that price

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 09:52 AM

@ABT water your thoughts on Marvin Jones.... I like him but that could just be "misguided fantasy hype"

Makes him da second highest paid corner in da lee.

He played well but the defense gave up 30+ points in both of the games he started. Once they changed QBS the away from Weedon the offense fell apart. They started losing to scrub teams.

Same fans who were on Reese for not spending anything are now complaining that he overpayed

Evil Vito 03-09-2016 02:06 PM

You pretty much have to overpay in the NFL, especially if you've been shit the last few years. That's how free agency is designed.

The real key to winning is always to build through the draft, get a young core going that way and try to win a title while many of your top guys are in their cheap 4 year rookie contract (see: the Seattle Seahawks).

But since Reese is a fucking imbecile when it comes to anything past the first round of the draft leaving the Giants devoid of depth, we now have to rely on free agents.

Evil Vito 03-09-2016 02:27 PM

Jaguars sign punter Brad Nortman to a 4-year deal. Only noteworthy because Nortman came into the league the same year as Bryan Anger, a punter who the Jaguars had drafted in the 3rd round and who is now a free agent.

Only the Jaguars could invest a high round pick in a position like punter and manage to not even draft a good one.

Innovator 03-09-2016 03:31 PM

Damon Harrison, welcome to the better side of the stadium.

Innovator 03-09-2016 03:31 PM

Brrrrrrrrrrrock Osweiler to the Texans

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 03:45 PM

oh shit

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 03:46 PM

Kaepernick to the Broncos now? He seemed to be their back-up plan

Courage, what's your thoughts on this?

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Jg34Nxb_Vjs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Yeah, my thoughts exactly.

I don't want Colin Kaepernick and all his tattoos. There's gotta be someone else out there.

ClockShot 03-09-2016 04:07 PM

Case Keenum sounds like a better idea.

Evil Vito 03-09-2016 04:30 PM

Osweiler seems like a big dummy. Turning down the chance to be the starting QB on a team that just won the fucking Super Bowl and should still have a really good defense?

I mean surely the Texans didn't offer THAT much more.

road doggy dogg 03-09-2016 04:31 PM

Didn't Denver offer 4y/$60M? Or something like that. Basically getting $3M more/year, doesn't seem worth it to go from Denver to Houston imo

Emperor Smeat 03-09-2016 05:35 PM

Wonder if Peyton's late season antics and dragging the retirement decision played a role in Brock leaving.

Texans do have a really good defense and were very similar to the Broncos last season in how much they carried the team. The main difference being Texans QBs awfulness managed to be stronger than their defense.
