Breaking news when I posted it Harvey

El Capitano Gatisto 11-18-2005 07:40 AM

Be interesting where he ends up. Good timing for the Ireland job, but I can't see it because he probably still hates the FAI.

Obvious choice is Celtic, but I think there'll be other top European sides interested,

Yeah, I’d have thought he’d move to Celtic for a season or two.

Don’t know if he’s interested in management. For controversies sake I fucking hope so…if he moves to Celtic I’d have thought he’s guaranteed the top job in a few years.

Ogen 11-18-2005 11:41 AM

Supposed to have not been so mutual now, meant to have had a huge argument with Ferguson which resulted in him being told he'd get no new contract and being stripped of the captaincy so Keane told him to get fucked and quit basically.

Mr. Monday Morning 11-18-2005 04:45 PM

3-0

HOT

Ogen 11-18-2005 05:31 PM

Keane going to Newcastle breaking now

Ogen 11-18-2005 05:31 PM

Then they're playing Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield and London. Just been released on ticketmaster for those wanting to know

Chavo Classic 11-19-2005 07:13 AM

Celtic, Portsmouth and Wigan are in the chase for Keane according to Football Focus

toxic rooster 11-19-2005 07:17 AM

Very un-hilarious, Ogen

toxic rooster 11-19-2005 07:17 AM

Watching barca in full flow last night was amazing they pissed on madrid.

Its great we didn't lose this weekend, ok so we dont play till tomorrow against bolton but right now I will take comfort in the fact I can sit through match of the day without watching us get ripped apart.

I heard there's a press conference re George Best about to happen. He's either already kicked the bucket or is about to. :(

Fuck George Best. He's wasted the gift of life of another kidney. As a human being I have no sympathy for him. If he can't control himself after being given the gift of a second kidney then he deserves to die... the ungrateful fuck

Liver....

Rob Ban Fan 11-24-2005 06:46 AM

Poor old Perrin :( I quite liked him, a bit gutted he didn't succeed here but oh well, he didn't help himself with some of his tactical decisions.

Still he gave us the 4-1 annihilation of the scum

Hopefully we'll get Warnock, i've always liked him and he has always been very complimentary about us. But i don't see why he'd leave Sheffield United for us.

Oh well. BLUE ARMY

LK 11-24-2005 07:04 AM

No such luck RBF. Reports up here suggest that you lot might be getting McLeish as the next manager. May God help you lot if you do.

Rob Ban Fan 11-24-2005 07:58 AM

Cactus Sid 11-24-2005 08:24 AM

Best as a a footballer - Legend

Best as a human being - Had too many chances that he's ignored time and time again, a new Liver is a miracle not a right, and he kept on abusing alcohol all the way through. I'm not glad that he's dying, but I have utterly no sympathy for him. I do feel for his family however.

How are the Fifa world rankings compiled? They are always mentioned here like they are very telling, but the US obviously isn't the eighth best nation in the world. It seems like whenever we play out of Concacaf we lose.

Rob Ban Fan 11-24-2005 02:53 PM

The Fifa world rankings are comlpete bollocks.

They give teams points for results and take into account stuff like goals scored, whether you were home or away or whatever.

They're interesting to look at, if only to laugh at some of the backwater countries that are higher ranked than Scotland ;) But they don't really mean anything at all. With the teams like USA being ahead of the likes of Italy.

Also things like us beating Jamaica 5-0 in a friendly and their ranking going up and ours going down

Rob 11-24-2005 08:23 PM

Or like Scotland smacking Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 and they are about 50 places above us.

Scotland are 61st, 5 places behind Togo ;)
Wales are 72nd, only 2 places ahead of Iraq
Northern Ireland are 101st, if they keep up their good results they might be able to claw their way above Botswana, Sudan, Burkina Faso and Haiti

What a shit decision to allow that Kilgallon goal, he's clearly offside and if they use the 'not interfering with play' line, well he's standing in front of Douglas and deflected it in :| Dirty Leeds. Seems like we did well though.

Crouch was good yesterday, i'd have never have given him the first goal but his goal and link up play was good. Luis Garcia scored but was crap again for me, and Steve Gerrard was class.

Looking forward to the Spurs game, two (providing de Vries is still out of the side) footballing teams so it should be good. Their support is pretty fickle and shit but at least they'll bring a fair few.

Hopefully with it being against them Wenger will let us play Ryan Smith, assuming we can extend his loan :( Best winger i've seen at Leicester and if he gets a chance at Arsenal he can give England another left sided option.
