R* said GTAO will have almost everything from single player so I'd not be surprised if gun customisation was in. If gun customisation is in but you can't hand out weapons, you could just post the "blueprint" here, I guess. Gun name, what modifications to make etc. Quote:
We'll also be able to create our own heists, eventually, as part of the content creator. Until then we just need to pile into the planning room and decide which liquer store we rob, with what, who, when and where. I do wonder what the planning room will actually be like. In single player, it shows the plans with photos and maps etc. I can't imagine one of us could go out and take photos of targets so we could plan out exit/entry routes. Then again, this game has surprised us a few times. |
what am i supposed to be doing? i forgot [4] and don't feel like going back and reading.
|
I want to do something big from the moment it launches. When it launches I imagine most of us will be online.
Our very first mission should be something astronomically huge with a low percentage chance of any of us staying alive. 12 person heist. At least $10,000,000 payday. Who's in? |
i am in, i want money. that's my motto.

Is everybody going to be driving their own cars in missions or are some of them going to be one driver and passangers? If there are passengers we need a music expert to decide what radio station we listen to.
|
I think that will vary from mission to mission. As for the radio station, passangers can change the station too so you're not stuck on the sucky station the driver wants on.

RoXer1 (RoXer) Drakulbites (Drakul) destroyer413b (The Destroyer) Kalyx_triaD (Kalyx) ossmam (Ossman) RJLBlitz (Blitz) STDamon (SlickyTrickyDamon) the_ripoff_art (?) HeisenbergTPWW (Heisenberg) PTW315 (Savior) HCPwnography (Requiem) ZacharyAmaranth (Kane Knight) tazzdan (Tazzdan) SgtLonsdale (Assuming it The Rogerer as he is the latest member to join) |
I only have PS3, Zachary Amanranth is Kane Knight, HCPorpwnography is Requiem I think, PTW 315 is probly Savior, RJL Blitz is probly... Blitz
|
I dunno if I have Ossman as a friend on PS3. Are we the only 2 playing on PS3?
|
Cross platform play would have been cool if PS3 only has two TPWWers.
|
HCPwnography may be the worst screename ever created

Christ's sake, Drakul, Kris P and Rhiannon figured out my alter ego, how did you not? :p

If PS4 decides to charge for online and Xbox one have a different style controller I will def jump to Xbox
|
I thought they decided on charging for PSN starting with the PS4 launch...or somewhere in the future of the launch
|
If that's the case I hope Xbox one has a different controller that doesn't cramp the fuck outta my hand
|
Xbox One controller is basically the same size and shape as the 360 controller. Might be a bit more fatter at the handles.
Everyone who has held the controller have agreed that the Dpad and the sticks are the biggest improvement feel-wise. |
I have a write up of my hands-on with the Xbox One controller in the X1 thread. The wings stick out a tad bit more but it's a good controller.
And yeah, PSN will be charging for online as their network has greatly improved. I don't consider that an issue, but I've been a happy XBL member for a while now. Up to you. |
My priority for choosing a console goes like this:
- Controller, no matter what you do this is what you're gonna hold 99% of the time. The other 1% is when you're sleep. - Exclusives; what you do and don't wanna play. Multiplatforms between the big two have minimal differences that you barely notice. - Online Network: The interface of an online network should appeal to you, while in practice multiplatform games are mostly the same online. Everybody does Player and Ranked games. But outside of a game, how these networks differ is more important. - "Where the party is?": All else being the same in your eyes, ask yourself where the party is. What are your buddy's getting, which network has more players at more times of the day and so on. There's been a few times when somebody here was vexed to know a major release saw most of us on the 360 version of a game. If you find yourself in this position more often than not, you should consider this - but only after the first three priorities are cleared. Far as I'm concerned everything else, how the console looks and specs and shit, means nothing. |

Hooray! I will, however, note that that big integral we-totally-need-it Kinect won't even wrk for voice recognition outside of five countries at launch. I'm sure that's both unfair (as it uses Microsoft's own words against them) and dated (as those words weren't uttered as I posted this or something). But they are still promoting how Kinect is integral to the Bone, and yet a good chunk of it won't work anywhere but a handful of countries. Now, of course, you tell me why making an "integral" part of your product unusable in a good chunk of the world is a good thing. Which leads to the point that this will likely harm them in foreign markets. I mean, you're paying for the Kinect, but you can't use most of its hyped features? |

...Do you think I give a damn how the system does in this 'console war', because I'm only interested in what you still find repulsive about Xbox One. I should have guessed like many current internet people you're just shifting the goal posts and/or reaching like Mr. Fantastic. Quote:

|
And if we were talking about me, you'd have a point. But I was talking it impacting sales.
No matter what your "us vs them" mentality dictates, I don't really give much of a fuck. And "turning around" is nice. It doesn't mean "remedied." I'm sorry, I forgot how important the Bone was to you. I'll leave it alone. |
I like the 360 Controller over the PS3, but it's basically because I'm used to it. Don't really like the trigger buttons on the Ps3.

Peoples are saying the playlist is disappointing or something. What are they talking about? I can't seem to find the song list.

Personally, I haven't given a fuck about the radio playlists since Vice City. The talk radio stuff, and now the TV stuff, is far more interesting.

I'm not really interested in the radio in GTA. I am interested in the RDR style incidental music.
It would make doing stuff, especially online, a lot cooler. |

Amazon's boasting same-day delivery here.
Which is good, because I've been sleepign super late the last couple months. I think I might be pregnant. |
Love the radio stations in these games, at least in GTA4
Liberty Rock Vladivostok FM The Beat107.9 The Classics K100 Studio Fusion FM The Journey had a Phillip Glass song lol "Love This" |
Agree with Drakul about the incidental music, been playing Borderlands and Skyrim a lot lately and they are fantastic with with.

Delivery for 18 September 2013, not 18th. YAY! One day closer!

A little question for anyone who will play online.
Will you try to create your character to look like you, like your ideal you, like another person/character or just whatever happens to look good? |
Whenever possible I try to recreate myself. I'm in SoulCalibur V, adjusted to fit the fantasy world, of course. With this I think I can make something fairly representative of myself IRL.
|
They already have a black guy in this one Kalyx, just use that character

First bits of new info:
- Crosswinds at mountain tops, more difficult to land - Restricted air space over prison, two star wanted level - Grove Street confirmed. (Non-story spoiler for some people, maybe?) - Dog can get bark and attack enemies - Starting a mission as a different character can result in different cutscene Edit: More info. Minor spoilers like mission names etc blacked out. - Driving over bumpy ground actually causes the vehicle to rumble up and down - Split second decision making adds Hollywood-esque feels to the gameplay - Every shopfront is unique - The main wheel itself is broken down into a series of subcategories; after scrolling with the stick to the weapon type you want, left and right on the D-pad will cycle between additional individual weapons - Weapon Wheels stores every weapon you collect and you'll never lose them, even if busted - Miniguns destroy vehicle almost instantly - Police are more responsive and hands-on - Pedestrians react differently to carjackings now, such as speeding off when aimed at with a weapon - Each vehicle type has unique handling, for example the pick-up truck doesn't stick to the road as well as a supercar - 5 Mission names revealed. Repossession, Three's Company, Derailed, Nervous Ron and Vinewood Babylon - Franklin has access to supercars immediately - Drivers flip you off after collisions - One of a kind encounters occur such as Lamar acting agressively towards a hobo - Lamar kicks a pistol towards Franklin - Car crash leaves trail of fuel, which can in turn be used to blow it up - Chopper controls extremely alike IV - A coloured flash on screen will signal a switch to a particular character. Michael is blue, Franklin is green, and Trevor is orange - Chopper landing is more straightforward, less messing around trying to get it perfect - "Derailed" involves Trevor chasing a train of Cargo on a dirtbike (All you had to do was follow the damn train Trevor) - Night time is more realistic, the only real source of light were Trevors headlamps, a big improvement from IVs "darkness" - Neon signs actually have a buzzing noise - Animals yelp when hit by a vehicle - One point in "Nervous Ron" a light is shot out to prevent a dead body being discovered - The ability to fire whilst prone and rolling around returns from MP3 - Engine realism such as engine stuttering and black smoke shooting out was noted - "Vinewood Babylon" involves using a weapon similar to what Bruce Willis uses to blast off Jack Blacks arm in The Jackal More to come. |
-There are four different in-vehicle views. However the cockpit view will not be included.
-Your character's health regenrates to 50% only. -Sniper Rifles can be upgraded with a Thermo Scope which can be activated on the run. - (Achievement/Trophy) Similar to the Stunt Jumps/Flying Rats system, flying under bridges achievments will be introduced. There are exactly 50 bridges to fly under. -Trains are drivable. -Unlike GTAIV's wanted system, every officer and police car has its own search circle. |
The stealth options in this game sound great. Maybe we can rob a bank online in a stealth manner instead of the typical guns blazing style.
That's assuming banks shut at night and there is a way in. Probably getting too ambitious there. |

This was easily one of the most frustrating things about GTA IV out side of bowling. |
Hey Fangel its your Cousin, let's go bowling.
|
I would rather go look at some big American titties.
|
Between each officer having his own search circle, shooting out lights to hide, sound playing a role and I even think I read something a while ago about stealth kills/takedowns, I'm looking forward to trying out stealth.

Can't wait. |
-Helicopter wreckage can be found from high above in the sky.
-Although map is open from the start, it still has a huge element of discovery. -GTAV feels like a "best of R* experience" because of the elements from all of R*'s greatest games. -Franklin usually hangs out in the ghetto, Trevor in the wastelands, and Michael in the business districts. -Chop belongs to Lamar, not Franklin. -Chop can distract enemies, giving an advantage against them. -Each protagonist has a very distinctive walk and feel to them. -Car explosions and aftermath much more realistic than IV's. -Hearses are NOT good for escaping cops. -There are various ways to tackle a one mission objective. -When missions end, the aftermath "spills over" into freeroam - as noted when a car is blown up at the end of a mission, fire engines will rush to the still destroyed car, whereas in IV the world would simply "reset". -If you go up to a mission marker, you go straight into a cutscene and straight out smoothly, similar to Max Payne 3. -Blowing up a cop car will get you a wanted level of 1 star. |

-Normal walking is quite slow.
-The weather system is different, featuring virtual sunrays. -Water physics are fantastic feturing realistic waves that foam back and forth. -Main characters and NPC have thousands of custom animations. -There are Ammu-Nation stores which are open at night. -There are mission checkpoints. -Every single mission is replayable like The Ballad of Gay Tony. |
If DoA5U wasn't 40$ I wouldn't even bother getting it. This game is gonna massively slow down my playlist diversity.
