According to people who've played the demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, the demo currently in the eShop is not from any current build and instead is basically the same demo which was shown at E3 last year.

Some updates, sales, and other stuff was recently announced by Nintendo and others.
First is a digital tool that allows saves to be transferable between physical and digital versions of 3DS games and has arrived with the recent 3DS firmware update. Another thing was an improvement to multi-tasking when it comes to downloading. Quote:

I've played chunks of Bravely Default and it's up there with those two as well. Add in Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 7, Mario 3D Land, Smash Bros, Luigis Mansion 2, Fire Emblem and hopefully a localisation of Ace Attorney 5 and this is the greatest handheld of all time. Seriously, that horrible start got Nintendo in panic mode and it's glorious. Hoping the Wii U follows suit, although HD assets might make progress slower.
