I'm looking forward to Leeds ending Luton's 100% record on Saturday.

:'(

Londoner 08-10-2005 10:51 PM

I'm hoping Luton get promoted. My dad supports them, would be really strange seeing them in the premiership.

Chavo Classic 08-11-2005 09:19 AM

Morientes has been recalled into the Spanish squad along with Alonso, Garcia and Reina. Good news for Liverpool as his can only do wonders for his confidence as he hasn't been in the squad for over a year and his brace on wednesday proved he's still got it.

also, although they are bigger underachievers than ourselves, Spain for the 2006 World Cup anyone?

Doink 08-11-2005 10:06 AM

the words hell and no come to mind. the world cup has brazil written all over it!

People say that everytime, 'spain for the world cup 'spain for the euro championships' they may have good individual players, but as a team they're aload of shit.

Indeed.

Chavo Classic 08-11-2005 12:36 PM

Then again our squad isn't looking too bad. With the exception of Mr Crouch, the players who are potentially going over the Germany are about as good as any England team since Italia 90.

Lets hope for a semi at least

Apart from that friendly against England, when the Spanish lads passed rings around them.

Any team who can boast Xavi Hernandez and Xabi Alonso in central midfield has a chance. They can just go 1-0 up then keep the ball for the rest of the game.

Nah, no point even talking about Spain winning it, they'll only blow it again. Though to be fair, they were screwed against South Korea in 2002.

England have a great chance of winning it next year, or would do if they had a manager with some tactical and motivational know-how.

Was that friendly between england/spain the one with all the racist chants stuff?

They definately got screwed against korea though, but they've had plenty of other chances to win tournaments and they always blow it.

England always have a chance, it would help though if the manager wasn't only in it for the money.

Doink 08-11-2005 03:51 PM

he's not, he's in it for the women !

1 day till the start of the new season, im confident my fantasy team will walk away with the tpww league.

yianni 08-12-2005 09:49 AM

I am the opposite. My team is bollocks and I think I'll finish last.

...do you get relegated if you finish last in the Fantasy League? :shifty:

Aside from his goal against Newcastle, that was the best thing he did last season :y:

yianni 08-13-2005 12:27 PM

:o @ Everton's defending for the 0-2.

West Ham-Blackburn has so far been a shithouse game to watch.

Cactus Sid 08-13-2005 12:36 PM

Murphy and Defoe have both scored

toxic rooster 08-13-2005 12:38 PM

 @ Reo-Coker's goal

Mr. Monday Morning 08-13-2005 12:48 PM

Dickov's off. That didn't take long.

toxic rooster 08-13-2005 12:51 PM

Good to see Blackburn have cleaned up their act

, however, at Savage being shoved into the advertising boards in the first half and no yellow card resulting

Mr. Monday Morning 08-13-2005 12:54 PM

ahahahaha word

Fuck off Dickov and you too Savage you pair of useless cunts.

toxic rooster 08-13-2005 01:17 PM

and Emerton :'(

yianni 08-13-2005 01:22 PM

Lord knows why that cunt is still considered in our national team

Can't cross for shit
Can't defend for shit

WHY THE FUCK IS HE THERE?!?!

Oh, probably cos we don't have anyone better. :o

Seriously though, should be interesting seeing how Ahmed Elrich goes for Fulham this year. I rate the lad, hopefully he can replace Emerton at right-mid in the national team.

yianni 08-13-2005 01:24 PM

Also, lol @ abusing Elrich to his face whilst he was taking a corner in front of me about a year ago when he was playing for Parramatta against South Melbourne, and now seeing him playing in the Premiership. :o

Cactus Sid 08-13-2005 03:19 PM

Fuck sake, we should've won that game, they were shit

We made so many simple little errors that if we'd not made, we would've buried them 5-0. We had so many good things about the performance, but no killer touch. We shoved Cisse out on the wing, when he should've been in the middle, and we took off Morientes when we need his presence.

Lord only knows why we are selling Baros, we better be getting Owen, because there is no excuse for selling him.

We need a right winger signed and sealed by next saturday, and we certainly need a centre back, because as great as Hyypia is in the air and at tackling, his lack of pace is gonna be a liability by the end of the season.

Benitez, Moores and Parry need to sort themselves out and conjur some money out of thin air ASAP.

Rob Ban Fan 08-13-2005 06:57 PM

we were looking good, then on the stroke of half time Griffin scored an own goal :'(

and Mido ran off celebrating like he'd just won the world cup, which was odd :|

packt up 08-13-2005 07:03 PM

Darren gayboy Ambrose got sent off.

I always thought he couldn't hurt a fly :$

packt up 08-13-2005 07:19 PM

Oh yeah I'l make my season prediction now too. About a day too late I know :p.

1 Chelsea
2 Arsenal
3 Man U
4 Liverpool
5 Tottenham
6 Middlesboro
7 Bolton
8 Everton
9 Newcastle
10 Man C
11 Villa
12 Birmingham
13 Charlton
14 Blackburn
15 Fulham
16 West Brom
17 West Ham
18 Portsmouth
19 Sunderland
20 Wigan

Team Sheep 08-13-2005 08:11 PM

We're going to catch the Gunners cold tomorrow, I can feel it! 0-1 to the Toon. :D

Y2Ant 08-13-2005 08:51 PM

if it weren't for the fact that we face Arsenal tomorrow (and will lose most likely), I would take the piss out of Mackem and Owen for Sunderland and Portsmouth doing the job :'(

Y2Ant 08-13-2005 08:52 PM

LOL @ Blackburn though, bunch of wankers

That's what you get for signing Newcastle defensive rejects :$

Cactus Sid 08-14-2005 07:27 AM

:( Wasn't thinking with the Dream Team stuff.

I dropped a load of the players on my subs bench, for players who would probably be better, and a couple in my first 11, and then they took 16 points off.....which will be deducted next week.....

I'm currently joint top.....next I'll be joint bottom :'(

Mr. Monday Morning 08-14-2005 08:46 AM

lol yes I've made a few changes, -8 points :$ Having said that I've still got 4 players playing today, so shouldn't be too bad :D
