I disagree with that and as a fan of the Bengals for so long you could probably understand why. Usually though I just have a favorite player not on the Bengals and because of them I root for their team. For example Shaun Alexander has made me a Seahawks fan and even though it pains me to admit it I have a bit of a chub for Bob Sanders as well. :o

Supreme Olajuwon 04-13-2007 03:25 PM

There's a new nike ad out with all the rookies who are signing with them and they have Amobi Okoye (DT 6'2, 302) standing next to Calvin Johnson and Johnson makes Okoye look like a kicker. Dude is so jacked it's not fair

MTH15 04-13-2007 06:12 PM

Whats wrong with that? I'm a diehard falcons fan that happens to think the jets are ok.

 ( and i mean that )

RP 04-13-2007 10:06 PM

I dont care what anyone says. The best defensive player in the league is Bob Sanders. Dont look any further then last years playoffs.

That said. Fuck me Bill Polian is brilliant at drafting players. He's drafted Manning, Edge, Wayne, Clark, Bob Sanders, Freeney ( when everyone said he took him too high ) and countless others. All our star players have come from the draft. The only Free Agent star we have on the team is Vinny.

MTH15 04-13-2007 10:12 PM

Heres what I think my team should do.
*Draft Ginn Jr. if Landry is gone.
*Draft Merriweather in 2nd

If Landry is there.

*Draft Landry
*Draft Jarret

RP 04-13-2007 10:16 PM

Nah

RP 04-13-2007 10:31 PM

Indy is notorius for taking the best player available despite there needs, so its foolish to suggest that because they cant stop the run, they'll draft an inside lineman. That said, i think they might pick a WR. If Dwayne Bowe is there, he'll get taken. If Beason is there, they'll probably take him. I dont think they'll go with any running backs cause most the Backs that could be left have problems either on the field or off. So i'm narrowing there possible selection down to..

Dwayne Bowe ( long shot, but if he's there they'll take him as a future replacement for Harrison and a 3rd wideout )

Jon Beason ( Not as much of a long shot, but probably wont be on the board )

Lawrence Timmons ( Very possible and he still might be there depending on what other teams needs turn out to be come draft time. )

And the guy i want..

Justin Harrell ( huge DT whos talented , but probably wont be on the board. Who knows tho. )

RP 04-13-2007 10:38 PM

And if Ginn is on the board when Indy is up, i dont think they'll take him. I wont be mad if they do, but i dont think Ginn is the type of WR they'll be looking for. I dont think he's gunna translate well in the Pro's. Indy will want someone who can step up and play the #2 when Marvin retires. Ginn just isnt that guy. He's more of a special teams/ 3rd wide out imo. He terribly exciting, but not the type of guy the Colts would waste a first rounder on. So i could see him get passed up if he's there.

Also, i dont know why all these mock drafts think the Colts will draft the Saftey from Texas. Doss wasnt a huge loss. He wasnt even gunna start. Bethae beat him out for the job last year and showed flashes of brilliance all year including the playoffs. Ask Steve McNair what he thinks of Bethae after the playoff game last year. I dont see Indy going DB at all unless it happens to be the best available.

Crimson 04-13-2007 10:53 PM

Ginn will be a bust anyways.

Hope my Cowboys take a cb...i'm lookin at Houston or Revis, but we still need help in the secondary. So far a good off season .

MTH15 04-13-2007 11:25 PM

I want to release Rossum and sign Tedd Ginn Jr. so bad. BTW what does imo mean? And whos gonna pick up Al Wilson.

SammyG 04-13-2007 11:42 PM

in my opinion. and who knows. id love for him to come to St.Louis though.

MTH15 04-13-2007 11:49 PM

St. Louis has a lot of potential. I like there team. In like 1996 they were my favorite team until I saw Jamal Anderson in 97-98. Then I saw him do the dirty bird dance and the falcons became my favorite team.

FearedSanctity 04-14-2007 08:21 AM

Bye bye, Al Wilson :(

SammyG 04-14-2007 03:51 PM

we could use him in STL

Skippord 04-14-2007 04:01 PM

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Kris P Lettus 04-14-2007 04:24 PM

Dwayne Bowe will have a better NFL career than Ginn..

Supreme Olajuwon 04-14-2007 04:30 PM

so will Johnson, Jarret, and Rice

Ginn is probably the 5th best WR in the draft I think and Meachem from Tennessee might be better too

MTH15 04-14-2007 05:27 PM

I'd hate to see him be a bust. I think Troy Smith will own everyone. And NFL Europe is actually amusing me lol.

SammyG 04-16-2007 03:54 AM

Rams interested in Ginn, I hope they don't draft him though. We need defense.

MTH15 04-16-2007 12:52 PM

From this mock I'm looking at. Rams get Jamaal Anderson (Arkansas) DE in the first round. And Buster Davis (Florida State) LB in the second round.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-16-2007 02:08 PM

Ted Ginn doesn't seem like an NFL wideout to me, maybe he could make some noise in the return game though.

Also, I could see the Colts drafting Timmons or Beason if either of them are around when they pick. I think they'd fit their system real well

SammyG 04-16-2007 06:33 PM

Yeah, Linehan thinks that Ginn could be the next Devin Hester... I'd be fine with drafting Anderson. Or Leon Hall. Or Okoye. Or Branch.

MTH15 04-16-2007 07:16 PM

Thats the only reason I like him.

Kris P Lettus 04-16-2007 07:31 PM

Yeah Ginn could be a great return guy if he can keep from hurting himself celebrating..

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-17-2007 01:34 AM

Nobody is going to be the next Devin Hester, that was such a rare thing

MTH15 04-17-2007 08:46 AM

I hate the redskins..and the Vikings

Redskins: LOOK AT US WE'RE GONNA DRAFT A FS WHEN WE ALREADY HAVE A PRO BOWL SAFETY!!

Vikings:A DUUHHHH USSS TOOOO!!!!

When the falcons need one.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-17-2007 01:41 PM

What's better then having one good safety?

Having two..

OssMan 04-17-2007 04:04 PM

i also hate the redskins and the vikings but you need to come to terms with the fact that there are teams that pick in front of the falcons. the draft hasnt even happened yet so chill out.

SammyG 04-17-2007 04:08 PM

less than 2 weeks awaayyy

CSL 04-17-2007 04:25 PM

Is there gonna be anywhere (online, streams, Sopcast, TVU etc) I can watch the draft live outside of the NFL network?

SammyG 04-17-2007 04:31 PM

I thought the draft was on ESPN...

OssMan 04-17-2007 04:45 PM

lol if the draft is on NFL network

Supreme Olajuwon 04-17-2007 05:48 PM

It's on ESPN and ESPN 2 on Saturday and ESPN on Sunday

That would be pretty funny, but I could definetly see it happening in the near future

MTH15 04-17-2007 07:18 PM

I thought it was on NFL Network. Cant they show it if the want to?

Supreme Olajuwon 04-17-2007 07:28 PM

Vince Young is gonna be on the Madden cover. I predict Booger McFarland sits on him and breaks his ribs in Week 2.

SammyG 04-17-2007 07:39 PM

why the fuck is Manning not on the cover of madden 08? Vince Young? Are you fucking kidding me?

MTH15 04-17-2007 07:43 PM

You've gotta be kidding me. Vince Young aint shit compared to Peyton or Chad Johnson. Bullshit. Good luck fucking yourself. Hope you get injured when you play the falcons!!

SammyG 04-17-2007 07:49 PM

meh, I guess it's good that Manning isnt on the cover, that means he wont get injured. Has the dude ever missed a start?
