Ravens waive Trent Richardson.

Think any team takes a flier on him?

Evil Vito 08-02-2016 03:54 PM

Probably not. Pretty sure Stevie Wonder would have seen some of the gaping holes in the defense that Richardson would miss.

screech 08-02-2016 03:55 PM

Wait, he's been injured a bunch. So probably not.

Evil Vito 08-02-2016 03:55 PM

Cardinals give the Honey Badger a 5-year extension with $40 million in guaranteed money.

Supposedly the Ravens are liking Terrance West a lot in practice so with Forsett and Allen it didn't look like he was going to have a spot..

RP 08-03-2016 12:38 AM

Good to see the Cowboys are in regular season form already.

Droford 08-03-2016 06:07 PM

The more I think about it the 4 game suspension is doing the Patriots a favor. Brady turned 39 today..he's going to be saved a month of wear and tear on his body and to be honest 3 of the games are still winable without him (all at home too).

Evil Vito 08-07-2016 07:33 PM

Hall of Fame Game canceled.

Even if the HOF Game itself is something only the complete diehards would watch, I feel terrible for the young players on both rosters who were bound to get a ton of playing time as starters barely plan any snaps in the HOF Game. They lost out on a chance to make an impression to sheer incompetence.

owenbrown 08-07-2016 07:53 PM

The first football game in 6 months and some morons can't get the field fixed? what the fuck?!

owenbrown 08-07-2016 07:55 PM

Also, how long before Goodell suspends Brady for this?

Emperor Smeat 08-07-2016 08:03 PM

Really interested in finding out how something as simple as painting the field ended up becoming a huge disaster for the Hall of Fame game.

Supposedly whatever was done made it almost impossible for cleats to get a grip on certain parts of the field.

owenbrown 08-07-2016 08:09 PM

Whoever the dumbass is that just cost them all that money should be FIRED

RP 08-07-2016 09:07 PM

What a fuck up

Emperor Smeat 08-08-2016 12:25 AM

Apparently the paint used for the Hall of Fame game ended up melting the turf. Created a rubbery-like surface at the endzones and mid-field which is why the teams complained when they found out what happened.

Also the NFL didn't bother to inform the crowd entering the stadium about the game being canceled until the start of the actual pre-game festivities.

Droford 08-12-2016 01:24 AM

Totally missed the Ravens (backups) beating the Panthers (Backups)..maybe next week I'll see a game lol

McLegend 08-13-2016 06:50 PM

Carson Wentz suffered a hairline fracture of his ribs, and out for the preseason.

That's not good.

Droford 08-14-2016 08:39 PM

I think the Titans are going to do well having Murray and Henry running..

Fignuts 08-15-2016 04:41 AM

Oh look, the Bills have a bunch of injuries.

New and original.

Emperor Smeat 08-15-2016 09:25 PM

NFL currently considering suspending players from the Al Jazeera report due to claims of certain players refusing to cooperate with the league.

Could be looking at another legal case between players and the NFL if the league goes through with the punishments.

Those dreading the possibility of a Jerry Jones HOF speech might want to turn away. Jones and Paul Tagliabue were selected as the two Contributor Finalists for the class of 2017.

The Contributor Committee was created a few years ago and they and the Senior Committee switch off every year - the Contributors get two nominees in odd years, one in even years and vice versa for the Seniors. With both committees though it's pretty much been a formality that the nominees for those groups will go in.

And now, for the second year in a row, Marcell Dareus is suspended at the strt of the season for his drug use.

I do love how the bills didn't go into damage control, with some sugar coated PR statement about it, but instead publicly ripped him a new one.

Evil Vito 08-17-2016 04:15 PM

They should rip him a new one. Brady's suspension at least cracked the door open for another team in the AFC East to maybe get a jump start on the divisional race.

At the end I still don't see it mattering, I think the Pats will go 2-2 under Jimmy G at absolute worst and then Brady will come in and give the Browns a throttling like never seen before. But Dareus should still feel like a fucking moron for pulling that crap when the best team in the division is weakened.

I dOnt know I think Jimmy will go 3-1 to be honest

NFL suspended Giants Josh Brown for 1 game due to breaking their domestic violence policy. Even though the ex-wife stated she was beaten by him on at least 20 occasions, NFL didn't feel they had enough evidence to give him the 6+ game suspension allowed.

NFL also reduced Steelers Le'Veon Bell's drug related suspension from 4 to 3 games now after settling some issues with the union regarding it. Supposedly Bell got suspended not because he failed a test but because of travel issues making it impossible for him to be on time for his testing date.

Droford 08-21-2016 12:31 PM

Ravens managed to win 19-18 over the Colts on an int of a 2 pt conversion returned for 2 pts..I've never seen that before. Ravens look pretty bad though but the good thing is most of their starters haven't played at all..

RP 08-21-2016 06:41 PM

Ravens Superbowl champs 2017!

NFL players teasing there will be a major lockout once the current CBA expires in 2020. Already hinted they are sick of the power Goodell has from the current CBA and want that as one of the main changes done.

Tom Obarski, the backup kicker in camp who had a chance to be their Week 1 kicker with Brown suspended, missed a 28 yard chip shot on Saturday and immediately got released.

Randy Bullock signed. I'd say there's a decent chance he ends up being their kicker all year. Details of Brown's arrest are still murky but there is very much going to be pressure on to release him.

Majestic Realty & Las Vegas Sands want $750,000,000 in public funding if this Raiders stadium is gonna happen. And by that price tag, I don't. That's just nuts.

Location seems to have moved to a spot west of The Strip.

According to Sports Illustrated, a judge recently denied ESPN's request to get Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul lawsuit against them and Adam Schefter to be tossed out.

JPP is suing over claims Schefter violated medical privacy laws by publicly posting medical photos related to JPP's fireworks injury from last year.

Good. What they did was total bullshit.

100% chance the Pats turn Barkevious Mingo from first round Browns bust to Pro Bowler.

Panthers playing great ball tonight

Tony "Mr. Glass" Romo got a compression fracture and could mission 6-10 weeks.

A. Adjust your fantasy roster/draft strategy accordingly.

B. Jerry Jones cave in and call Johnny Rehab?

Cowboys back up QB is on fire..everyone talking about him.

Droford 08-27-2016 07:37 PM

Ben Watson tore his Achilles first play of the game..ugh

So much for the "natural grass is better than the fake grass for injuries" argument
