Oblivion- 7.3/10

One of the better Sci-Fi motion pictures in recent times, to my liking at least. Cruise had some total ham lines but it is an engrossing story tempered with well done action sequences. Makes me realize, though, that the only optimistic or positive impression of the future rests with the old Jetsons cartoons. Whatever that is worth

Raven Reaper 04-24-2013 05:53 AM

Iron Man 3 - 7/10.

Can I say that we can have Pepper Potts as Iron Woman in the sequels or what?

Extra ending after credits:

SPOILER: show
Tony talks to some fake-ass psychiatrist and that's it. They even pulled a James Bond style saying, "TONY STARK WILL RETURN."

Triple Naitch 04-24-2013 11:22 AM

Men in Black 3 - 6/10

RoXer 04-28-2013 12:38 AM

I watched the documentary Kumaré on Netflix

XL 04-28-2013 03:11 PM

And what did you think of it?

Bad News Gertner 05-01-2013 04:08 AM

The Campaign 6.5/10

Silent Hill 2: 7/10

Resident Evil Retribution: 6/10

Bad News Gertner 05-01-2013 04:12 AM

Evil Dead(1981) 2/10. Fucking hated it.

Army of Darkness 4/10 Fucking disliked it.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-01-2013 04:58 AM

Zombieland - 6/10. It was alright, expected a lot better though considering it's rep amongst most people. Woody Harrelson was great and obviously the Bill Murray cameo was pretty funny but thought the rest of the cast were pretty average and there weren't really many moments that had me laughing a whole lot.

Mama - 5/10. Didn't find it scary at all really. The youngest girl was the scariest part of the whole film. As usual with most horror films, I think the film was better before you see the ghost fully. As soon as you see the awful cgi stuff it kinda took away any fragment of horror it had. Tend to think it's pretty difficult for anyone to make a movie about a ghost and actually show the ghost. Cast were all fine though, thought the older girl was actually really good for a child actor.

Raven Reaper 05-01-2013 08:00 AM

Rob Zombie's Lords of Salem - 7/10.

Think of it as a mixture orgy of: Rosemary's Baby/Disney's Hocus Pocus/Cannibal Holocaust and Stanley Kubrick-ish final act. The appearance of the Dimmu Borgir-ish demon was completely unnecessary and it almost reduced the serious horror stuff into a Cradle of Filth music video. I also liked the reference to Manson's Long Hard Road out of Hell music video in the final act of Heidi's transformation.

Is it just me or those 3 old women esp. the redhead one reminded me sooo much of the trio in Disney's Hocus Pocus? One of them even has a Bette Midler vibe minus the humor.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-01-2013 10:56 AM

Iron Man 3 - 7/10

The Condor 05-02-2013 09:56 AM

The Villain(1979)- 6.37/10

A western comedy, live action Coyote and RoadRunner cartoon starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ann-Margaret and Kirk Douglas with cameos by other comedians of the time such as Paul Lynde, Ruth Buzzi and Foster Brooks. It isn't the contemporary "frat pack" variety of comedy but the novelty of such a movie existing is amazing. It's not completely side splitting funny or anything, but to see the #1 action star of all time and a Hollywood legend like Douglas doing such a movie is sure funny.

Goon: 8/10. Reallyy enjoyed this movie.

Iron Man 3 - Fuck yeah

Skippord 05-06-2013 12:59 PM

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - 65

Thought it was quite good, and it made me feel feelings. Would've liked it to be funnier with all of the incredibly talented funny people in it but that's not what it was going for.

Raven Reaper 05-07-2013 08:35 PM

Dark Skies - 5/10.

RoXer 05-07-2013 10:09 PM

I saw Iron Man 3 in beautiful IMAX 3D today.

It wouldn't take much for it to be the best one

Garden State: 6/10

I've heard good things about it. I see a six, which is not stellar, but not bad. Should I go out of my way to see it?

Frank Drebin 05-10-2013 11:50 AM

Garden State? Meh...

Watch it with a gal to get the most out of it.

Fn hate the scene where he's listening to music and
SPOILER: show
she asks what hes listening to and looks up with these big dough eyes and goes "....the Shins," like such a pretentious douche. He wrote that line so every girl who sees the movie thinks "OMG HEZ SUCH A SENSITIVE MALE!!" ugh.

RoXer 05-10-2013 12:31 PM

I think this weekend I might watch The Hobbit since I downloaded it two months ago

Frank Drebin 05-10-2013 07:42 PM

Lunopolis. Netflix told me about it so I watched it. Fn cool. Enjoyed the Hell out of it. If you like sci-fi / philosophy / conspiracy theories, youl love this.

Garden State is bad and I don't like Braff but I don't think that scene happened the way you are describing it.

mitch_h 05-10-2013 08:17 PM

Lords of Salem - Weird. It goes from being really atmospheric and creepy and claustrophobic to really corny and silly. It's like Rob Zombie's technical proficiency is a hindrance. He's really bad at directing actors too. I don't know it was interesting, nothing out there really like it. 6/10

Triple Naitch 05-11-2013 11:23 AM

Iron Man 3 - 8.9/10

Iron Man 3-10/10
See my long post in the Iron Man 3 thread. Short story, it was fucking awesome, and I loved it almost as much as the first one.

Skippord 05-12-2013 02:35 PM

Iron Man 3 - 67

Found it quite enjoyable despite a few issues with the crazy shifts in tone. And Iron Man has never been my favorite so the usual problems I have with the character bugged me. Pearce and Kingsley

EDIT: was just thinking about how cool I found Ben Kingsley's Mandarin and would've enjoyed more of that

Tommy Gunn 05-12-2013 04:44 PM

Star Trek Into Darkness - 8/10

Enjoyed it a lot, although some shaky-camera shots did my head in a bit.

weather vane 05-12-2013 10:07 PM

Bruins vs Leafs Game 6 - 0/10

Disturbed316 05-13-2013 07:41 PM

Day of the Dead (original) 5/10
Olympus Has Fallen 8/10 - loved it

Droford 05-14-2013 06:58 PM

Taxi Driver 7/10

It's okay. It's not like you are going to miss something awesome. You can probably watch it when you are bored and have nothing to do. Please don't give Zach Braff any money on kickstarter. Thanks.
