there

DaveWadding 04-19-2010 04:51 PM

Sammy G, Grammar Police.

RoXer 04-19-2010 05:05 PM

Holy shit, The University of Montana may be worth something.

SammyG 04-19-2010 05:38 PM

k, on a serious note guys, this brought a tear to my eye.

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/boys-nba-s...ry?id=10392569

SammyG 04-20-2010 03:41 AM

Fuck yeah, Utah

DaveWadding 04-20-2010 03:55 AM

I love how you say Denver are a bunch of assholes, then root for a team that has a documented asshole like Carlos Boozer on it.

SammyG 04-20-2010 04:44 AM

Who else is a dick on that team? And Boozer is not a thug on and off the court. I don't like him, but he's not nearly as bad as JR Smith or Kenyon Martin. Plus, Utah would be a better matchup for the Lakers.

Skippord 04-20-2010 05:13 AM

Also you're a fan of Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant

so there's that

SammyG 04-20-2010 05:14 AM

Yeah, Kobe is such a thug, huh.

Skippord 04-20-2010 05:36 AM

Well he did rape someone

also Kenyon Martin is awesome for charities here

alvarado52 04-21-2010 01:47 AM

Thunder's playing crazy good D right now.

RoXer 04-21-2010 01:48 AM

4th foul should not have been on Kobe, should have been on Kristic

alvarado52 04-21-2010 01:52 AM

the refs have been real up and down this game...some plays they let'em bang, others they call a foul. Regardless of that, the Thunder are swarming the Lakers and crashing the boards. They're playing bigger than the Lakers right now.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-21-2010 02:04 AM

lol how the fuck did they call Kobe's last shot a 3? His entire foot was inside the line

RoXer 04-21-2010 02:17 AM

17 blocked shots

what is this, NBA JAM?

alvarado52 04-21-2010 02:21 AM

Ah yes, thats why we got Ron.

alvarado52 04-21-2010 02:23 AM

win or lose, the Thunder are gonna be a real pain in the ass in the very near future.

DaveWadding 04-21-2010 02:23 AM

SUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN SHOWWWW YEAHHHHHHH CHAMPIONSHIP BABY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

note: this post is completely sarcastic.

My Nuts 04-21-2010 02:26 AM

note: I completely got my nuts in yr. mouth

alvarado52 04-21-2010 02:38 AM

Sir Charles cursed on the tele? I didnt hear what he said.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-21-2010 02:50 AM

Did the Hawks not even come close to selling out? I only saw one highlight and it looked like nobody was in the arena

Emperor Smeat 04-21-2010 03:13 AM

According to ESPN, the Hawks have sold out both playoff games.

Its probably because of the quiet nature of the crowd (needs the P.A. guy just to start any chants) and the way the stadium is designed makes it seem like few people are there.

SammyG 04-21-2010 04:42 AM

Ron Artest is so good at defense. But he is probably the worst offensive player I have seen wear a Laker jersey. God damn. Him and Fish shot a combined 4-20.

Juan 04-21-2010 04:47 AM

Well, Artest was brought in specifically for his defense. Fish, on the other hand, has no excuse.

SammyG 04-21-2010 04:51 AM

Still though. When Kobe gets double and triple teamed, you've gotta hit an open shooter. With Ariza, I felt comfortable everytime he shot that open 3. Ron is terrible at it. TERRIBLE. Kudos, defensively, though.

Jeritron 04-21-2010 05:01 AM

Um, Kwame Brown? Samaki Walker?

SammyG 04-21-2010 12:22 PM

fine. close to.

Buzzkill 04-22-2010 04:37 PM

I would hardly call Ron Artest "so good at defense"

3 years ago yes, now he can't even guard quick 2's

Juan 04-22-2010 08:07 PM

Well, if Buzzkill says so...

Juan 04-22-2010 10:48 PM

woooo go Bulls

alvarado52 04-22-2010 10:52 PM

keep standing OKC lol

Juan 04-22-2010 11:04 PM

lol

Juan 04-23-2010 12:49 AM

what a game so far

alvarado52 04-23-2010 01:18 AM

we havent taken the best shots, but fuck...the calls are definitely one sided. Lakers take 12 total free throws, Thunder takes 30+. Cmon

SammyG 04-23-2010 01:24 AM

Honestly expected to lose this game, but yeah. 22 more free throws for OKC? Get the fuck outta here. Lakers are gonna win game 4 by double digits.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2010 01:26 AM

Can't wait for the zen master's post game comments about free throws

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2010 01:35 AM

Wonder if the zen master is gonna mention how the Lakers got out rebounded even though they have 3 seven footers? Probably not

Juan 04-23-2010 01:36 AM

This is why I'm not comfortable blaming the refs for this loss. Lakers shit the bed in the 4th

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2010 01:39 AM

Wow I'm wrong. He actually didn't mention the refs (at least not in the part of the post-game interview I saw)

alvarado52 04-23-2010 01:40 AM

i make no excuses for the shitty shot selection, and one of my biggest problems with the Lakers all year is that they PLAY small, even though we should be dominating the boards. But you cant deny, one free throw counts as a point, and the opposite team is going to the line about 18 more times than you, its a pretty big factor in a 5 point loss.

SammyG 04-23-2010 01:43 AM

Retarded shot selection by Kobe, as well.

DaveWadding 04-23-2010 05:48 AM

Suns.

Just sayin.

DaveWadding 04-23-2010 01:54 PM

Yes, the same injury depleted team that won on the Suns homecourt in Game 1.

And they are starting Jarron Collins at Center, sorry don't think they are at full health either.

and no team should be getting blown out by 30 for the majority of a game in the playoffs. It's the playoffs. No excuses.

DaveWadding 04-23-2010 01:58 PM

and I didn't even get to the fact that Camby is an UPGRADE over Oden at this point.

RoXer 04-23-2010 04:02 PM

Nah come on. Blazers aren't where they should be. I almost feel bad.

DaveWadding 04-23-2010 04:40 PM

Hey, anybody remember when the Blazers blew out the Suns in February without Roy, Oden, or Camby? When they started Juwan Howard at Center? No?

RoXer 04-24-2010 07:59 PM

Phoenix Fans Have Rock Lawns

RoXer 04-24-2010 08:11 PM

Horrible defensive showing in the 4th

Loose Cannon 04-24-2010 08:13 PM

like this Portland team.

SammyG 04-25-2010 01:23 AM

What a great championship caliber team

So it's impossible for one team to get fouled 9 more times than the other? What's the point of even having refs then If both teams foul equally?

McLegend 04-25-2010 01:35 AM

I would be so happy if the Thunder can somehow pull this series out.

SammyG 04-25-2010 01:38 AM

I respect the fucking hell out of them. Not gonna happen though.

Calling the same fouls both ways is usually preferred in sports, yknow?

ANYWAY, Thunder are hungrier than the Lakeshow. Fucking Lakers dont even LOOK like they want to grab a rebound or defend.

How hard is it to exploit our size in the low post? Honestly, its not rocket science...we have a size advantage over them, and it slows the pace down so they cant run and gun as much.

This just in

Dwayne Wade and Lebron James are good.

Juan 04-27-2010 02:33 AM

well, Charlotte's done. Portland got destroyed tonight too.

DaveWadding 04-27-2010 02:49 AM

Dunno how Portland did it. They hit their 1st 9 shots, had the Suns doiwn by 14 and...

well. THAT happened.

SammyG 04-27-2010 02:51 AM

mad anxious about tomorrow's game. Winner of that game is winning the series, obviously.

I hate you, everyone does, obviously.

Emperor Smeat 04-27-2010 10:33 PM

Celtics join Magic as teams to advance to Round 2 in the East. Unless Bucks pull off an upset, Celtics-Cavs in Round 2.

McLegend 04-27-2010 10:34 PM

It will be no matter what Celtics/Cavs(assuming they win tonight).

NBA doesn't reseed

Did they change the playoff structure again?

I thought a few years ago they changed it to reseed since they kept using up good matches in the West in Round 2 and not in conference finals.

Either way, good news is unlike last 2 years, Celtics get some days to rest before playing the 2nd round.

McLegend 04-27-2010 10:44 PM

Nope only "recent" changes they have made was making the first round 7 games.

No other changes.

RP 04-27-2010 11:04 PM

2 of the worst fouls on Miller there

McLegend 04-27-2010 11:07 PM

These Bulls don't die.

RP 04-27-2010 11:08 PM

the refs wont let the bulls win

RP 04-27-2010 11:12 PM

DERRICK FRIGGIN ROSE

RP 04-27-2010 11:13 PM

OH WOW THIS GAME IS RIGGED

RP 04-27-2010 11:15 PM

Rose should have had that and 1 comon

alvarado52 04-27-2010 11:19 PM

Yeah, these refs are trying to hand this win to the Cavs

McLegend 04-27-2010 11:20 PM

Just wait till we get to the Lakers game...

total Laker rimjob

alvarado52 04-27-2010 11:37 PM

Ive said it once, ill say it again, if a team focused on taking charges for a game, LeBron James would foul out in the first half. Dude just drives.

RP 04-27-2010 11:39 PM

i really want Derrik Rose to win this game

RP 04-27-2010 11:51 PM

Labron needs to take Professor Pierce's Faking Injuries 101 class

McLegend 04-27-2010 11:51 PM

That right arm's going to be beyond a great concern, Ian Eagle.

alvarado52 04-28-2010 12:15 AM

Fuck, did someone finally tell the coaching staff that they cant guard us in the post?

Juan 04-28-2010 12:47 AM

Beautiful

McLegend 04-28-2010 12:48 AM

Wow Ron Artest is more then just a body taking up space tonight.

RP 04-28-2010 12:50 AM

I feel like the Thunder have a few runs in them still

OssMan 04-28-2010 12:53 AM

Did anybody see Derrick Rose take 7 steps in the lane on the way to a layup

If Lamar Odom and Ron Artest play like this the Lakers will hardly ever lose to anyone.

alvarado52 04-28-2010 01:36 AM

the entire offense opens up when we play big in the post, i just dont get why we dont do it as often as we should, considering the size of this Laker team.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-28-2010 02:46 AM

Can't wait for the Celtics to beat the Cavs

Hopefully

SammyG 04-28-2010 02:53 AM

What an amazing game.

Juan 04-28-2010 04:13 AM

Gasol + Bynum: 46 points, 18 for 26, 22 rebounds, 6 assists

SammyG 04-28-2010 04:31 AM

Yeah. Kobe on Westbrook was huge for us, as well.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-28-2010 04:52 AM

Only took until game 5 to realize that Derek Fisher can't guard Westbrook

Juan 04-28-2010 04:54 AM

lol so true. Sucks that it took Kobe asking to guard Westbrook instead of Phil realizing that Fisher can't guard 90% of PG's in the NBA.

Juan 04-28-2010 05:06 AM

Artest's defense on Durant

Game 1: 7-24 fg, 29%, 24pts
Game 2: 12-26 fg, 46%, 32pts
Game 3: 8-24 fg, 33%, 29pts
Game 4: 6-12 fg, 50%, 22pts
Game 5: 5-14 fg, 36%, 17pts

Total: 38/100, 38%

SammyG 04-28-2010 05:37 AM

and Durant's season average was 48% I believe.

Juan 04-28-2010 05:50 AM

yup

Juan 04-28-2010 05:51 AM

Hopefully he can do the same with Carmelo (if Denver can advance) and Lebron.

Skippord 04-28-2010 06:01 AM

I don't really think you need to worry about the Nuggets advancing

Juan 04-28-2010 06:13 AM

lol

Nark Order 04-28-2010 11:11 PM

Bucks playing like ass tonight but they still might pull this out.
