I expected many many fanvids of Jon Snow and Ygritte to that song

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-06-2013 11:11 PM

There's a cross pollination between the Game of Thrones and Miley Cyrus fans?

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-06-2013 11:18 PM

He lied about who he was. He's not a Karstark.

Lock Jaw 05-06-2013 11:32 PM

Yeah, I got the impression that he was lying about everything. I mean, he's pretty much been lying since the moment he first showed up.

VSG 05-07-2013 08:35 AM

Ok good, that part in the previous episode where he was called "you bastard" now fits in nicely.

SPOILER: show
Yeah, he is definitely
SPOILER: show
Ramsay Bolton, the Bastard of Bolton.
I liked the little hint also when he told Theon 'That would be quite the hunt' when talking about the Stark boys, because part of his whole thing was live hunts followed by torture, rape, and dismemberment, which Roose 'tolerated' and 'chided' him for but never really cared about. His comment is a little more twisted when you realize he's not interested in hunting them simply to find them.

Also, the Bolton's sigil http://www.todd-a.com/wp-content/upl...il-640x328.jpg

El Fangel 05-09-2013 02:23 AM

That bit in the tunnel was fucking brilliant.

Lock Jaw 05-09-2013 01:12 PM

Next time, on Game of Thrones:

Requiem 05-09-2013 01:48 PM

Also the scene where he lies
SPOILER: show
is so much more fucked up since you know who he is. He is toying with Theon in twisted fashion, leading him on to believe that he's guessed right. Actually acting disappointed that he figured it out, when in reality he didn't guess anything. Then he pops up suddenly.. man, just standing so abruptly like that is enough to make your skin crawl when you know what he's about to do to Theon.

VSG 05-09-2013 04:19 PM

Ya, this is worse than Jabba's 0/10 rating movie list.

Innovator 05-10-2013 09:57 AM

I'm still terrified of Tywin.

Theon :'(

Krimzon7 05-13-2013 11:53 AM

Fuck Theon. For betraying the Starks, he deserves every goddam bit he's getting.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-13-2013 11:56 AM

After last weeks poor showing, the bum quota was right back up this week.

Thank Goodness we have Iggy to keep us focused on the hard hitting subjects.

Tywin is the Lebron of Season 3.

Dany is in the tags, as to not upset Triple A

Requiem 05-13-2013 01:19 PM

I love how that starts off.

Joffrey: "You mean if I wanted to attend a meeting, I would have to climb all the stairs to the tower of the hand?"

*Tywin pauses and then dramatically takes his time walking up the stairs to the throne*

One of my favorite moments of the show right there.

I dunno if anyone deserves what he's getting. Especially if that knife ended up going where it looked like it was going.

VSG 05-13-2013 06:42 PM

I was pretty pumped when I saw Joffrey and Tywin together- knew the kid was going to get some.

Lock Jaw 05-13-2013 07:11 PM

Book

SPOILER: show
Is this Theon stuff from Book 5, or is the show just making things up? I've read the first four books. Kind of holding off on the fifth if only for the fact that the "mass market" paperback isn't out yet.

Do you really want spoilers? Ok, here are spoilers below if you really want to know.

SPOILER: show
In the books, we never get to see these events take place. They are however alluded to, and we are introduced to a certain character at a later date with a name we don't recognize. Further spoilers:
SPOILER: show
We are introduced to a character named Reek. It rhymes with weak. Further further spoilers
SPOILER: show
Reek has been tortured extensively, doesn't remember who he is, has had his fingers flayed, been castrated, generally treated like an animal by the psychotic Bastard of Bolton, Ramsay Snow. Further further further spoilers
SPOILER: show
Reek, we find out, is actually Theon.

He butchered two kids. He deserves it.

El Fangel 05-14-2013 01:21 AM

Really like how you set up the spoilers there, Req. Basically revealed it only so much at a time to him.

Fignuts 05-14-2013 01:58 AM

Just realized Tywin was the villain in Last Action Hero

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-14-2013 02:16 AM

Mind Blown.

Only read the first two. :y:

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-15-2013 12:14 AM

Third is probably my favorite of the books I've read so far (1-4)

Immortal Moose 05-15-2013 07:02 PM

Bart the Bear!

XL 05-16-2013 09:00 AM

Got a little confused location-wise. I thought Castle Black was at the top of The Wall or at least located at The Wall. They've climbed The Wall and now they're making their way to Castle Black!?

Innovator 05-16-2013 10:25 AM

The wall is very very long with a shitload of castles.

Technically speaking.

XL 05-16-2013 11:26 AM

But they seem to have gone from frozen plains to grassy terrains. I thought both sides of The Wall were freezing. Also, where is The Wall. Don't remember seeing it behind them!?

XL 05-16-2013 01:22 PM

Something I've been wondering for a while:

How is this show directed? Each episode is attributed to a single director yet there are scenes set all across the fictional land and filmed across various locations. Surely they film all of the scenes in a specific location at one time rather than flying various directors all over Europe and suspending production?

RP 05-16-2013 01:30 PM

I loved the last episode, but I dont like Jamie Lannister the Diplomat. I mean, I was really expecting him to push that fuck in the pit with that bear and then just walk off like a bad ass.

Read an article a couple weeks ago. Home base for the bulk of the seasons is filmed in Northern Ireland. Wall scenes are in Iceland. But these days since they're exploring more lands in they book, the production crews have hit Morocco, Malta, and Croatia.

Also, there's 3 production teams scattered across the continent/world shooting at the same time, codenamed "Dragon", "Wolf", and "Raven". 257 cast members, 703 crew members total. (credit to wikipedia.com)

I assume all production team heads report to whoever is directing the episode and he/she eventually calls the shots.

True but I gotta say I also kind of expected/hoped that he was going to do that.
