You can't help but be as gay as me when it comes to big Jake.

Kris Bryant for me. Those eyes. That smile.
|
Dude has to have a tight butthole for sure.
|
Not after I'm done with him :shifty:
|
Yeah he's dreamy.
I personally believe Russell Martin fucks anything in his path. Understatedly handsome, I say. |
I'm just saying. He spreads those buttcheeks and it looks like a pin prick.
|
Francisco Cervelli is pretty rugged

i see it

In the same ilk as RP, it is so strange being a Jays fan right now. The Yankees did in this series, what the Jays used to do with the Yankees for most of the past 2 decades. Clockshot said how they had the Jays on the ropes and they did. If Pineda stays in the game, I think Yankees sweep the Jays. But the storm hits, the delay happens and everything changes and the Jays escape the series with a 2-1 win.
Yankees fans would have a hard time understanding this, but what happened to you this weekend (and other series in the past 2 seasons) has happened to the Jays almost every season since 1994. It is really weird to see the Jays do crazy things in Yankees stadium. |
I hope the Cubs do win the pennant if not the whole thing. There really aren't any other possible NL teams I could see myself pulling for, except for maybe the Pirates if they find a way in.
Fuck the Nats/Murphy, fuck the Dodgers/Utley, fuck the Cardinals and Marlins in general. I don't hate the Giants but I'd like to see the even year thing die. I'd be happy with pretty much any of the AL teams except for Boston, which has been done to death. I wouldn't even mind the O's winning it all because I could simply put Droford on ignore. |
I want the Jays or Rangers to win the AL. Nats or Marlins would be my choice for the NL.
|
Who is your team again Ruien?
|
Don't get me wrong, I'm not huge on Baltimore as they are direct division rivals, but I feel I would hate them a lot less if it wasn't for Droford.

Jays Cubs please. So many fun players on each team.
|
Like, Jays Cubs would have a ridiculous amount of superstar flavor. Bautista, Donaldson, Encarnacion as the established power houses. Stroman and Sanchez as the up and comers.
For huge Cubs they have Lackey and Lester reaching the promised land once again, with legitimate superstar tandem Rizzo and Bryant, Russell is a future star, probably Contreas too. Just seems like such a fresh matchup. |
Fucking bullpen.

The Orioles unloaded a lot of frustration out on the Astros..it's 12-3 in the 6th on 5 homers
|
Too bad they can't swing their way two games up.

MLB considering some big changes for future seasons with the earliest they could take effect be around 2018/2019.

Other potential bigger ideas like lowering the pitcher's mound are unlikely to get approved any time soon. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/1...changes-shifts |
Can't see any of those being beneficial. The limiting of shifts and reliever changes is so stupidl. It's an active move against strategy. Why would they limit strategy? Christ.
|
More attempts to cut back the time lengths of games since its been the new comish's goal ever since his reign started.
The idea of a pitch clock would be the easiest mostly because its already done in the minors and MLB already has enough data to feel it was effective. Stuff like changing the pitchers mound would be way too drastic since it would require a ton of changes to happen just to shave off a bit more time. Probably wouldn't see any real effect until the next gen or two of pitchers since they would have been used to the new mound by then. |
The only way they're going to shave off any real time is by cutting ad time during commercial breaks. Which isn't happening.
|
I might just stop watching baseball if they implement some of those changes.

Mets get a grand slam off of of Bumgarner. Then deGrom who has been their clear ace and only starter worth a shit of late serves up 5 runs the very next inning including a 2 run bomb to Bumgarner.
This team is a failure on every level imaginable. |
Aaaaand deGrom gives up 3 more runs. 8 runs given up on a night when they were fortunate enough to score 4 off of Bumgarner in game they absolutely needed to have.
Thanks Jake :y: and to think he was the only player on this roster that hadn't turned into a gutless turd over the last month |

The White Sox are perplexing to me because they seem like they should have no issues competing at the top of the division and yet... they don't? What's the deal, Ruien?

lol the guy is allowed to have a bad start :p |

Seems like there are a ton of issues inside the club house with players and upper management too. |
Yeah, is Kenny Williams just a total fucking twat or what?

If he's consistently turned the corner for the rest of his career, with his use of the fastball, I think that makes him a reliable #2. Estrada is great but he has to be perfect or else balls start leaving the ballpark, which makes him a really go 3 or 4. Happ can be a bit off, but he's got real gas and a deceptive fastball where he uses "all 4 quadrants of the plate" blah blah blah making him a real mainstay as a legit #2 in any rotation. But it all depends on how he performs from hereon in and how he looks next year. But as a one off year, this season in itself has been one hell of an accomplishment, and nobody can take that away from him. |
And there isn't any real reason to be optimistic about the team next year. But people want to keep pointing to the pitching. People said that in the second half this year they'd have deGrom, Thor, Harvey, Matz, and Wheeler all together.
Well Wheeler never threw a pitch in the big leagues this year. Harvey sucked and now has a potentially career-derailing TOS injury. Matz has pitched through bone spurs in his elbow for two months and now is being shut down with a shoulder injury. Thor's also pitching through elbow bone spurs and is clearly a Tommy John candidate. That leaves you with only deGrom. You can't build a team entirely on pitching anymore because pitchers are far more injury prone than they used to be. And good luck thinking the offense will bail them out as Sandy loses Cespedes and Walker to free agency and continues to try to assemble a team of free-swinging hackers. |
Happ's ERA is 3.05 and his FIP is almost 4. lol if you've watched the guy pitch this year that is a load of utter shit.
|
With the exact same defence, Marcus Stroman's FIP is 3.85 with an ERA of 4.6. Once again, if you've watched him pitch, it hasn't been a matter of "luck" it's been a matter of not pitching well with runners in scoring position.
I'm sorry, but that stat is wildly stupid. |
It's because Stroman has a lesser homerun and walk rate while facing more batters than Happ.
It's only stupid because you're not trying to understand what it's telling and how. |
