I thought Tom Coughlin was dead.

Droford 12-25-2016 05:41 PM

The Jags going back to him would be dumb..he's not a long term solution

Its almost Baseball season.

And by baseball season I mean 5 minutes after the game on Sunday.

#1-norm-fan 12-27-2016 09:32 PM

Never too early to massively overrate next years' Ravens though! Don't leave yet!

Droford 12-27-2016 09:43 PM

HOME: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Miami
AWAY: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville (London), Tennessee, Green Bay, Minnesota, Kansas city

There's no reason they can't go 7-1 at home and 5-3 on the road for 12-4

#1-norm-fan 12-27-2016 09:47 PM

lol That's the spirit. Put a few thousand on them ASAP.

Droford 12-27-2016 09:50 PM

That is a ridiculously easy slate of games.

#1-norm-fan 12-28-2016 01:49 AM

Do you ever think of the amount of times you've said that about the Ravens over the past couple years and been wrong and thought "Maybe this team isn't as good as I think they are"? Honestly curious how you can watch the Ravens lose "easy games" so much and not start to figure it out.

I don't think we're watching the same Ravens.

They don't score enough and if they do, the defense can't finish. It's been this way for years.

Evil Vito 12-28-2016 11:26 AM

The NFL changes so much year to year except for a scant few teams who always make the playoffs (Pats, Seahawks, and Packers). Forecasting next year's record this early is silly.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-28-2016 04:32 PM

Steve Smith Sr. will retire after this Sunday's game.

You can count on Cleveland being shitty so there's 2 wins. Cincinnati will be bad again next year 2 more wins. Jacksonville is a win even having to go to London. Chicago won't be any better another win..then they probably should best Tennessee Houston Detroit Miami and Minnesota barring some craziness. The only games in question are Pittsburgh Indy Green Bay and KC

As far as Smith retiring everyone pretty much knew that from the day he announced he was coming back so no surprises there. Would really like the Ravens to get a solid #1 WR but they'd never had one so whatever..the only big names at WR free agents next year are Baldwin and Jeffrey I don't see the Ravens landing either one..

#1-norm-fan 12-28-2016 06:24 PM

Remember all the "locks" they had this season?

Ruien 12-28-2016 07:39 PM

Remember the Jets.

Droford 12-28-2016 07:48 PM

Losses to
Oakland 2nd seed in AFC by 1 pt
Redskins should make the playoffs when the Lions choke
Giants 2nd best record in NFC
Jets ..ugh
Cowboys #1 seed nfc
Patriots #1 seed AFC
Steelers Won the Division

So only bad loss was to the Jets. If They win that game they'd be in the playoffs as a wild card.

Ruien 12-28-2016 10:20 PM

But if they are a legit playoff team they won't lose to every good team. They will, you know, actually win some of those games.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-29-2016 12:47 AM

Losses to:

Bills-with 3rd stringer

Seattle-Pretty bad D all night keeping them in the game. No excuses, though. The better team won that night.

You just gonna ignore that you guaranteed they'd win many of those games?

Also, look at the wins they got. They beat a lot of lousy teams (sometimes by the skin of their teeth) and lost to good ones (and the Jets lol). Pretty much what a team who isn't all that good does.

#1-norm-fan 12-29-2016 04:13 AM

When "if only they could have beaten the 2016 New York Jets then they'd be in contention for a wild card spot in week 17" is what you're hanging your hat on, you really gotta re-evaluate how highly you rate your football team.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-29-2016 07:17 AM

He's also basing one loss on the fact that one team they lost to MIGHT be a playoff team.

Mercenary 12-29-2016 10:12 AM

Yeah lets not forget the Pats special teams blunders was the only reason that game was close

poopfromweiner dude 12-29-2016 12:19 PM

LMAO DROFORD THE JETS ARE THE WORST FUCKING FOOTBALL TEAM IVE EVER SEEN

ITS FUCKING EMBARRASSING TO LOSE TO THEM

ANYONE WHO LOSES TO THE JETS IS AN AWFUL FRANCHISE

RAVENS FUGGIN SUCK DICK DUDE

Evil Vito 12-29-2016 12:22 PM

I agree. The Ravens suck.

Its the truth though. It sucks 1 bad loss cost them the playoffs. Bunch of teams have bad losses. Seattle lost to the Rams..it didn't cost them anything cause that whole division is garbage Seahawks included.

#1-norm-fan 12-29-2016 03:10 PM

... You think the Ravens are better than the Seahawks don't you?

#1-norm-fan 12-29-2016 03:16 PM

Also, you know why else that loss to the Rams didn't matter? Because the Seahawks beat the Jets. And they also beat good teams like the Falcons and the Patriots (on the road, no less) to make up for it. Something good teams often do. The Ravens couldn't make up for it with wins over good teams. Because they're not very good.

Simple Fan 12-29-2016 03:21 PM

So Droford has the Ravans with at least a 11-5 record for next season. It's not all that unreasonable but still a stretch. Miami will be better, Cincinnati will not be locks, and Minnesota should be better as well. 8-8 seems more reasonable.

Ruien 12-29-2016 07:19 PM

Ravens will also suck again.

The Ravens blew out the Dolphins at home and would have scored more than 3 pts vs the Rams in LA. And they wouldn't have tied the cardinals 6-6 and lost to them late in the season with a bye hanging in the balance.

So yeah.

Bengals won't be any better. They will have a ton of cap space and probably make big splashy moves but unless they can Marvin Lewis and get a new QB they won't be any better.
Minnesota won't either because they still won't have an offense.
The Dolphins are 10-6/11-5 and won't be better than that. Plus they have to play Denver Oakland Tampa Atlanta KC and the Ravens along with the Patriots twice. There's at least 6 losses in that group right there

I'm definitely gonna need a response to this because the more you talk about the Ravens the more I just need to know exactly what goes through your mind to allow you hold on to your delusion. It's fascinating.

Ruien 12-29-2016 11:46 PM

Do you think anyone would enjoy going to a sporting event with Droford? Would probably leave halfway through the game.

Droford 12-29-2016 11:51 PM

Not counting family members I've only been to 2 baseball games with someone. Went to a bunch of Orioles games with family before they died. The 2 games were An 8-0 Os loss to the Yankees in Old Yankee Stadium may 21 2008 with my Ex GF (day after the os won 12-2 go figure) and Matt Wieters first game as an Oriole back on May 29, 2009 with her vs the Tigers..she broke up with me 2 months or so later.

#1-norm-fan 12-29-2016 11:54 PM

Don't get sidetracked. Need you to respond, please.

The Ravens could beat the Seahawks. Of all the Division winners they are the biggest fraud. At least the Texans went 5-0 vs the shitty teams in the AFC South (comparable to the NFC West) the Seahawks are 2-2-1 vs the duvision. They scored 10 pts or less in 4 games going 0-3-1. 2-4-1 on the road (ooh they beat the Patriots!!!..the only other road win was vs the Jets)

#1-norm-fan 12-30-2016 12:01 AM

The Ravens were also locks to beat the Jets, right? And the Giants, right? And they def. should have beaten Dallas, right? And they were sure to beat Pittsburgh. After all, they OWN them and Worthlessburger, right? And let's go back to that 5 win season last year and all those guaranteed wins. Again...
