I have Big Show injured and he returned after 1 month, and went heel after returning by using the steal chair on Punk, and Otunga seems to have beef with Barrett and Gabriel as every time they have a singles match, Otunga interferes before it starts, and attacks both after it's over.

I have characters I recreated through wrestling games since 98-99. Guys I really got attached to. Some retired and and I put them in authority positions like general managers or trainers. Some got 'fired' over the wellness policy. The current owner of the 'A' show of me and my bud's merged promotions is also the very first CAW I made in WWF Warzone for N64.

So I'm doing a draft show and the first match was my CAW vs Big Show. I won and Taker was drafted to Raw. 2nd match was Henry vs Barrett. Barrett won and Taker was drafted back to SD. 3rd match was Beth vs Layla. Beth won and Taker was drafted back to Raw. Main event was Sheamus vs Cena and Sheamus won and Taker was drafted back to SD again. WTF?

when is the draft show i thought it was the raw after wrestlemania but im not getting the little animated sequence

The draft show is the first Raw and first SD after WM. You have to play the matches to get the animations.

Sounds like they basically programmed it so there will be at least one "draft back" every show ala Cena this year. :-\ The way I get around it is by making the drafted wrestler a free agent until after the draft is finished so that they'll no longer be in the draft shuffle.</font>

Anyone else have problems with their CAW call name? I made mine "Ryan The Red Ninja," but they only announce it as "Ryan The." Don't get it.

Universe is beyond strange this year. Feud started out with my CAW vs the Miz and has worked it way into having Chavo, Swagger, Beth Phoenix, Ziggler and now Del Rio. Right now I'm watching Miz vs Del Rio w/Ziggler, and Ziggler keeps getting up on then apron distracting the ref when Del Rio pins Miz :lol:

My call name of 'The Ugly Irritating Uncle' is coming out fine.

Yea, I noticed this too. I injured Miz near the start of Universe and when he came back from injury, he attacked Ziggler.

I don't usually, only watched the Del Rio/Miz match because it was part of the storyline my CAW was in and didn't want to sim it or play as the Miz or Del Rio.

I usually watch the Rumble if my main CAW is WWE Champ or WHC.

Speaking of drafts I've already had it happen a couple times where a pick was being selected from the same program the winner of the match was on.

Was playing as Eddie against Sin Cara, and Gory Bombed him right onto the ring steps. Great spot.

Only had a couple minor glitches so far. The seemingly common one where when you're fighting outside the ring and the ref is inside he seems to float around outside when the camera angle changes, and one where my CAW got hit so hard by Kane that he stood about 7 feet above the ring for a couple seconds.

Also confused why CM Punk, the current WWE champ on RAW, came out and did the Discount Double Check to my CAW, the World champ on SD

Playing a MitB now with my CAW vs. Kofi vs. Ryder vs. Dibiase vs. Barrett vs. Ziggler and Dibiase set up a ladder near the corner and climbed up one side and won't move. He just sits there and everyone else keeps climbing up the other side and falling off like morons.

I have paired up Regal & McIntyre and intend to put the tag belts on them. Will probably have Mason Ryan replace one of the pair at some point.

Gonna split up Otunga/McG and make a team of DiBiase/McGillicutty (trying to think of a team name based around "perfect" and the whole "money" deal but coming up blank).

Then I intend to team up Cody and Goldust for a while. And toying with the idea of a kind of fraternity group called Alpha Omega Awesome using Miz, Riley & Swagger.

Guess the game will always put the two divas champs together in a draft match assuming you have them on actual brands.</font>

Decided to "shake things up a bit." Moved Miz, Morrison, Cena, Ziggler, Ryder, Truth, Kofi, Otunga, and Beth all to SD and moved Henry, Orton, Sheamus, Christian, Barrett, Layla, and Cody to Raw.

Orton is now feuding with Del Rio.
Sheamus, Barrett, Punk, and oddly Evan Bourne are all feuding for the WWE Title.
Christian has turned face and gone after Cody and the IC Title, but Goldust keeps running out to help Cody. (Turned him heel so I could make the "Rhodes to Gold" Tag Team.) If and when I get get on communitty creations, I'll be bringing in either Lance Storm or Jericho to team with Christian.
Henry is feuding with Mason Ryan, which is absolutely abyssmal to watch.

Cena has turned heel and gone after Taker.

If you actually go to enter the match the winner of the Rumble comes out to the annouce table so you can then attack which competitor you want thus his choice is supposedly made by that action.

Just got my XBox so I naturally just had my first match (non-universe). The gameplay is so smooth and natural feeling. They've really nailed it. Still feeling out the controls, but it's definitely the best in the series, easily.

Question: If I get the Axxess pack and unlock all the DLC, will I still get cutscenes like (spoiler: Lesnar's debut)? Or does unlocking them, even if I don't assign them to a brand, negate that?

After my save corrupted I just got the Axxes pack. None of those scenes have appeared for me since.

Just got this today. I was trying to learn the new controls and my first match was Big Zeke (me) vs. Chavo and I lost the IC title to him in nearly squash fashion. :'(

That embarrassment motivated me to learn the controls quickly and I managed to beat him in a rematch.

I tried to start universe but have no idea what I'm doing as far as editing people around. Changed the name of Raw to Nitro and Smackdown to Raw and WCW to Smackdown because I didn't think to try the schedule tab. :'(




However I did learn that the game doesn't consider the divas people since I had them on one of the shows and kept moving guys to another show and it said I needed 15 wrestlers on the roster even though the main screen said I had 21. Sure enough there were 6 girls on the show.

I went ahead and bought Axxess mainly because I wanted WCW. So i now have wwe's show for raw and wcw's nitro.

One of the first matches my game booked after unlocking everything was michaels and rock vs. punk and a mystery opponent. wound up being Austin. So it was like kayfabe and real controversial teams. kinda marked.

Almost won the Rumble with Bryan but got thrown out at about 28 after coming out at 18 or so. Final three wound up being vader, eddie and christian (me). Christian is going to Mania lol.

On chamber now when i get home. Loving the game. Still getting used to the controls but have most things down. They've toned down the physics which kinda disappoints me but otherwise I'm happy with the gameplay itself. The match flow is amazing.

Only ran into a few minor glitches so far. Mainly the one where someone runs out and does nothing and the one where the announce table graphic isn't there.

If I change a PPV, will that PPV stay for the next year? For example, if I made Starrcade the December PPV, would it stay that way every year until I changed it?

You know I was about to buy the Fan Axxess DLC when I realized that I really don't want a lot of the dlc and I would be better off if I just bought the few I did want separately. It made me wonder would you lose out on any additional moves for your CAWs by not getting some of the characters or would all of the moves be unlocked with the "everything unlocked" purchase?

Actually, no. Lol, it was a clean pin. My jaw literally dropped.

My simmed Rumble was strange, Nash came out at #1 and Goldberg came out at #2, and no matter how many times Nash tried to throw him out Goldberg just threw him off. Goldberg then went on to make the first 7 contenders including him a one-on-one by going RR 2001 Kane on everyone. R-Truth stops that but nobody managed to eliminate Goldberg until entrant 15 got in in which case Otunga of all peole eliminated him. Last 4 people were Angle/Bryan/Punk/Sting, Angle eliminates Punk at the exact same time Sting eliminated Bryan then they fought for 10m before Angle won.

lol, had a match against Del Rio with my CAW, and Rodriguez was on loop announcing Del Rio over and over.

Michaels vs. Cena, number one contenders match. Michaels over, naturally, so it'll be Punk vs. Michaels at Mania. Got a cut scene afterward where Nash and Triple H came out to the ramp and congratulated Michaels, and Cole said they had joined forced.

I'm going to go big THQ about that one, see if they can't push out the "Gertner Patch".

Seems that number one contender matches, at least for Mania, don't stick. I had chosen Eddie for the Mania main event, but the main event wound up being Punk vs. Christian (Rumble winner). I manually changed the matches, because the #1 contender for the WWE title (Michaels) wasn't even in a title match.

Also, is it me, or does the kickout meter for the Elimination Chamber take too long to pop up? Seems that since there's no actual ref the count starts the second the pin is started, but the meter doesn't show up until the 2 count so you really only get one chance to kick out. It's also a pretty fast count.

So, I will not be able to access the PSNetwork until something like February, so I can't use my Rock unlock code.

I've been reading a lot of conflicting reports online. Some say that you can only get Rock by DLC, but others say that you can unlock The Rock after beating the Hero RTWM storyline. Anyone have an answer for me on this one?

Strangely enough I tried to have a unification match between Undertaker (WWE) and The Rock (WHC) as myself who earned the right by winning the Royal Rumble who also beat The Miz for it earlier in the night cashing in MITB not only did I somehow lose the match on easy the game froze after the match was over. :|

I've already cranked the game up to Legendary. It's definitely more challenging this year, but if I'm determined to win a match it's really not that hard, even on legendary. Doesn't mean I don't have fun with it, just wish they could release a wrestling game with actually challenging (and not cheap) AI.

By the end of the match I was Steamboat, and the final 3 of me, Husky Harris, and Alex Riley last about 10 minutes. Managed to eliminate both with stored Rumble finishers.</font>

I feel like there is probably a plateau that sports games can reach with the AI. I can't think of alternatives to making the AI more difficult other than how it's done now.

Had a great feud running between Austin and CM Punk.
It ended up turning into an alliance which led to an epic feud against Kane and Undertaker.
On Nitro..I have Nash and Hall dominating the show (Nash has the belt).
Nash goes on to have a match with Booker T and a mystery opponent..Austin. Both stories ended up getting mixed up.
Impressed.

Switched to legend difficulty now, I was winning too much.

So far it's much better on legend than in previous years, instead of the AI reversing every single move making it look like you're dancing with them, you can actually hit them without resorting to cheap spam moves.

Talking of which, I lol'd at the AI in free brawl mode, which just seemed to spam the running grapple move over and over again like online newbs.

As for the online, I played one match to get the NXT achievement, I was up against the Big Show, so I chose Jim Ross. Spent 2 minutes annoying my opponent by reversing all of his heavy attacks, then rolled out of the ring, and as he was taunting, rolled back in with a chair and cracked him over the head. DQ! Made me laugh.

Really am surprised to hear of all the bugs this game has been having.

Might not upgrade from the Game Boy after all.

We have heard from an number of people that bought WWE '12 that THQ has hade major problems with their online servers. A report surfaced yesterday that the problem would be fixed in "January" and a THQ rep denied that and said they are working on the problem now. WWE can't be happy about the problems with the online experience of the game.

So I completed the RTWM and I must say it was probably one of the more challenging parts due to Jacob Cass not having as high of an overall I suppose. Must say that some of the voice acting was barely audible in parts over the crowd there should have been an option for subtitles. Overall it was an interesting concept but should be considered again for WWE 13 btw I was not expecting an ending like that once the credits rolled I know I was in a bit of shock heh. ;)

<font color=goldenrod>I did a Tornado Tag Elimination Chamber (which online is staggered out so that it's always War Games style - Team 1, Team 2, Team 1, etc.) and I was set to enter last. Both members of my team got eliminated as soon as the fucking countdown was going on. So I had all 3 guys from their team meeting me outside of my chamber and I just got my ass beat. Think I hit 2 reversals but that's it. :(

And when I got pinned, the pin kickout meter didn't show up until the count of 2, giving me no chance to kick out. Does it do that on purpose as a way of saying "you've taken too much damage, you lose"?</font>

No, I ran into that problem too (posted about it the other day). Even in the offline chamber it shows up at the 2 count. I think it's because the count starts immediately since there's no actual ref.

Hate RWTM, too many times I've destroyed someone and then hit the QTE button which takes me to a cutscene where the opponent hits a finisher and wins.

May as well just watch it, there's barely any point in playing it.

In every instance the session would end just as the lobby filled up, mainly because idiots join in but don't actually select somebody to play as. Then I finally got in one, had a decent run, but after about 20 or so entrants nobody else came out...Swagger was the last man standing in the ring but the match wasn't over. Everybody had to quit out, meaning we all forfeited our points and had the match counted as a loss.

That's a really annoying thing, having all these random belts on random people when they're not really active championships. Figure I'll take a week or so of Universe just to get them off people and call it a throw away week.

I just throw the inactive ones on Arn since I don't use him in Universe.
