I was sitting with a guy from UFC on Sunday when got a txt from a certain wrestling/MMA writer saying it's Floyd Mayweather 100%.

And now the same guy is acting like he doesn't know in public and putting out stuff saying UFC are denying it. It was meant to be kept secret and he did a shitty job of doing it.

But yeah, it's Mayweather. And if it isn't now, I'm blaming that fucker because he told us.

I would be shocked if we ever see Mayweather in the Octagon in a fight.

I've read all kinds of stuff about this rumour. What I could see is a deal where he has something to do with UFC is terms of promotion, but I just cant see him fighting. Just cant see it.

He has been training MMA on the sly since Wrestlemania.

Okami is the last person to beat Silva (because of a rule that doesn't exist in UFC, IIRC). I'm gonna say Okami might win the first round, but Silva will go into Super Spyder mode and force a tap in Round 2.

Just announced (don't think this is the announcement either)

Anderson Silva v. James Irvin (at 205) and Hermes Franca vs. Frankie Edgar on July 19 on Spike TV head to head against the Affliction show. Silva isn't vacating the title and will fight at both weights.

That could backfire so badly for UFC. I'm pretty shocked they're putting Silva in that fight. Not that Irvin is gunna win, but if he were to knock Silva out on live television, major backfire. And no, moving to 205 would not be an acceptable excuse.

When the hell did Affliction start a fighting promotion? I was wondering what the hell was being mentioned earlier in the thread about an Affliction ban.

I asked Dana personally last week. He said the idea to make more smaller divisions and then to have everything below 155lbs in WEC and everything above in UFC so all the WEC bigger guys (Paulo Filho for example) will move to UFC.

Dana said basically the same thing in Montreal during the Q/A before UFC 83.

Although I think he said that it would be 155 and below when he was in Montreal. I thought that was wierd because I didnt think they would send BJ to WEC. But it makes more sense now with the rumours that BJ is going back to 170 to fight GSP.

If that happens, I could see them moving 155 to WEC.

155lbs is staying in UFC for sure.

I think Dana did the right thing. He did tell the guy that he's not ready yet and he's right, at the end of their meeting Dana did say "call me in a few months". That leaves the door open down the road, but he deserved to be punished.

yea he was goin on and on today. He has a ton of stories. he said that they wont get them healthy food all the time when they request it, but if theres any alcohol they want at all its there in a drop of a hat. The house is all paid for so theres no penalty for destruction and they tell you to fuck it up. They dont wash the mats or equipment. He said that there hasnt been a single season of the show where a guy wasnt seriously hospitalized after for staph. They wouldnt let him shower after his fight with deweese right away because they wanted to interview him and he was about to vomit everywhere because hes a germaphobe. He also had some cool stories about smith, shonnie carter and spratt.

I'd almost like to see them keep the format for the way and when the fights work, but instead of making them live in the house, send a camera crew out to two camps who have THEIR guys as contestants. They'd need to mend fences with Xtreme Couture though for me to give a shit about it.
