<font color=goldenrod>Gay ending. But overall a solid show.</font>
|
I mean, I wanted Randy to win and all. And as said, KFL but that whole match was just... really fucking flat.. no pacing at all it seemed really... And the finish was really... really MEH. Especially after HBM/Taker in general. Then Cena/Show/Edge had a solid finish... that just almost seemed... substandard.
|
Orton could have been made tonight....

At least WM20 ended with a great main event. This was just a snorefest

The show was very solid, but given the world title endings, they were out of order.
And again, nobody should ever wrestle after HBM. If he isn't on last next year, his match should be broadcast in a totally seperate show the previous night. |
Only managed to see bits and pieces of the stream tonight, but whenever I watched, it seemed like everything was dead. Barely any emotion at all in the main event from the announce team, the crowd actually seemed pretty dead, and this was one hell of a way to piss all over everything Orton's done the past three months.
They sure as shit better have a good Raw tomorrow night, because this PPV was very flat outside of the Undertaker/Michaels match. |

Alright I'm tuned into the replay without any knowledge of what happened other than the tail end with Triple H winning (of course). So now I'm ready for some ACTION. Woooooooo

I mean.. Orton was... absolutely made when he kicked Vince... and they completely... shit, they didn't even drop the ball... they threw it into the ground...
|
2 Thumbs up to HBK/Undertaker and Ricky Steamboat...Steamboat looked great considering age and the fact he hasnt wrestled in a couple years.
Overall this may have been my least favorite Wrestlemania. |
LOL @ the poll results
Yeah, about right. |

Wooooooooo The Fink!
Also damn this chick singing America the Beautiful is hot. Good start. |
Where's the "Loose Cannon" option on the poll?
|
LOL @ the ending.
I was this close to considering tuning into more WWE programming until that moment. Maybe next year. |
This should be a run away poll
|
I demand Steamboat vs. Jericho at Backlash
And for WWE creative to stop pouring dirt on Orton |
but HHH is still Cena's bitch
|
Alright MITB to open. Nice pace setter.

Mark Henry is 392 lbs? Bullshit
|
I still can't believe Steamboat went at it like that....if it was just Jericho/Steamboat, it would've probably been considered a classic match.
|
How did they miss that stream?

YESSSSSSSSS FINLAY OLD SCHOOL JACKET

And I guess I'm alone in thinking this now but I still think he's boring as all hell. He still sounds like a damn robot on the mic, and no, he does not have the workrate needed to make you forget about that. Where did all this Orton love come from? Has he ever had a good match where he wasn't completely carried? |
Holy shit Shelton
|
They built up the match so much and it was very disappointing. The match just didn't do anything for me. It was very boring and made me go home unhappy after a Mania, I don't think I ever felt that way after a Mania
|
Quote:
This time around, he's suppose to be THE heel in the company. I'm not a huge Orton fan, but it makes no sense to build him up as this huge heel, this huge threat, and then make him look like a bitch. Workrate isn't everything, and tonight, WWE through out the best opportunity to make Orton. Whatever they do with him now, he'll never be what he could have been, because ultimately, they just threw that out the window. |
lol Kofi is fucking awesome
Christian hasn't done shit yet |

I still dont get how they could make No Way Out so awesome but WM so crappy

Random thoughts (did not read the whole thread for obvious reasons):
Piper and Snuka looked like shit but Steamboat was on fire. With a little more conditioning (he blew up half way through) I could see him going another run. At the very least I'd like to see one more Flair vs. Steamboat. Michaels vs Taker.... Yeah, match of the night and probably match of the year. It started off extremely slow, but once you got mid-match, after Taker took that sick dive, it picked up and more than made up for it. Ridiculously great near falls. AWESOME spots, especially the skin the cat to the Tombstone (With Michaels kicking out, HOLY SHIT) and Taker getting frustrated and using the Elbow Drop, and it lived up to my expectations. And my expectations were fucking high. 5 stars with ease. We now have an infestation of Cena clones. Someone call the exterminator before they breed any more. But I have to admit I marked for Basic Thuganomics. If Cena had cut a freestyle I wouldn't have minded him winning. Orton/Triple H was extremely interesting and I really liked it. Very different type of match. Nice and slow and a lot of mind games. I think they played off the fact Triple H couldn't use weapons or go all-out really well. Obviously second best match of the night. Overall, I'll give the night a 9/10. That will probably lower with time, but aside from Kid Rock, the Divas Match and Rey/JBL the night was really enjoyable. Again. Taker vs. Michaels was one of the best WWE matches I have ever seen. Even with time I see it easily staying within my top three matches of all time. |
JR and King both just called Christian's move the Unprettier
nice |
I am so pissed right now. I really expected Orton to win, but he was just buried 6 feet deep again. HHH winning just proves that he hasnt changed, he is still the guy that buries people. Aside from MITB, Hardys, and Taker/Shawn, this was a very disappointing night.

Love how blatant they are about setting up ladders for specific spots in every MITB

fuck Kid Rock
bring back that Pussycat Dolls chick |
lol still playing Bawitdaba over a decade later

I can say without hesitation, that I would rather watch/listen to the Pussycat Dolls over Kid Rock any day
They cut the tag title match for this bullshit? I'm glad I decided to watch this MTV concert series on PPV |
Gail Kim f*cked up.. I don't think that she was supposed to go out thatway
|
The tag title match should have definitely been on the card. You could even tell that the crowd didnt seem to give a damn that Kid Rock was there.
|
What a poor main event. Just awful.
|
lol Santino is so great
|
Also pretty sure Michael Cole called the Divas Champion "Maurice"
|
wow Steamboat looks GREAT holy shit
|
Yeah I was pretty disappointed in the divas match as well. They had no real introductions, so the ones who did return got no recognition.
|
the_shadow:<wbr>brother love now directs porn
lol love justintv |
Steamboat still had it in him. Makes you wonder what a Jericho Steamboat match could've been like if both in prime.
|
I don't post a whole lot. But after watching the main event, I feel compelled.
Why in the hell would you devote the heart of your flagship program building up arguably the company's biggest heel over the last 3 to 4 months, creating the kind of heat that's been garnered, and elevating him to a level he's never reached before, only to job him out, on the biggest stage of the year, to a guy who has headlined more WrestleManias this decade than anyone, and who really didn't need the win? I just don't understand. I know WWE isn't known for their keen logic. But for Christ's sake, it was BLATANTLY obvious that Orton HAD to go over there. They have completely wasted everything Orton has built up. Thank God for Steamboat making me mark and the UT/HBK match... |
 51-2 poll so far.
I just got back from my friend's place, and I'm extremely torn on this card. Michaels/UT was fantastic. The greatest match Undertaker's ever been a part of, and it's way up there in the HBM pantheon. At least in my top three WM matches ever, and possibly #1. We'll see with time. Just an absolutely fantastic story. I was with a bunch of my friends who were fans way back when, and we all marked out when Steamboat hit the ring. He looked like a million bucks. And, yeah, his conditioning wasn't what it was 22 years ago, but he still nearly stole the show. That was an amazing nostalgia moment for me. Goosebumps. Money In The Bank wasn't as good as it has been in previous years, because a lot of the spots were really predictable. I mean, I know they always are, but it didn't seem like this year's match had the moment like past years. Last year, we had Morrison doing the moonsault with the ladder, this year the best we've got is Shelton's nearly-botched somersault onto the floor or possibly Kofi scrambling up the folded ladder and falling into the World's Strongest Slam. I had low expectations for Matt versus Jeff because I remember how bad the match was the last time they tangled, but they've both come a long way since then. And Matt going over (relatively) clean is hopefully the next step toward making him into something other than the other Hardy Boy. The Divas battle royal was abhorrent. They hyped this up as a homecoming for all these classic divas, and where the hell were they? I mean, yeah, they were in the ring, but there were so many of them, I couldn't make them out. The eliminations were coming too fast, and the cameras couldn't keep up, and the announcers weren't keeping up. I didn't even know who was in the match until the final five. Absolutely a waste of space on the card. Speaking of wastes of space - Kid Rock. If I wanted to see a Kid Rock concert, I'd go to a Kid Rock concert. And I don't want to see a Kid Rock concert. Not that I'm a huge John Layfield fan, but that's a shitty way to lose a title.7 Both title matches were all right, but anti-climactic. The triple threat had a better finish (the main event had all of us going "What the fuck? That's it?!?"), but the main event told a better story overall. They didn't just drop the ball on Orton tonight, they climbed up to the top of the world's tallest building and threw it down as hard as they could. Onto a bed of nails. Wrapped in barbed-wire. That was on fire. Any semblance of a ball is absolutely gone. Decidedly average pay-per-view, but that's awful for a WrestleMania. |
OH MY GOD STEAMBOAT
|
Steamboat is the fucking man. Glad Jericho won but god damn what a performance.
|
Mickey Rourke needs to teach Shane O'Mac how to throw punches
|
lol Cole again
none of the other brother vs brother matches at WM were ever this personal The Undertaker killed his parents and disfigured his brother, so Kane locked his brother in a casket and set it on fire. But this is more personal. |

Come on now, who voted for the Diva's match? I love looking at them as much as the next guy, but you couldn't make out who half were and the match was pretty lame.

I thought Santino was Molly Holly until they announced that Molly was eliminated lol
|
hahahahaha

Wow JBL just cut a fucking promo and a half. Nice.

OMG its Dink.

Not a bad WrestleMania, but I feel like that shouldn't be an acceptable reaction to the biggest show of the year. Main event was highly disappointing.

Jimmy SNuka look rather drunk tonight and couldn't seem to get his spot rights. i was so glad when he tapped.

Taker ripped off Mysterio's entrance
|
I wasn't expecting anything out of neither Snuka nor Piper. Snuka went quick, and minus Piper's one-legged dropkick, he wasn't bad at all.
Steamboat is the fucking shit. I demand we get a Steamboat anthology DVD by end year. |
I can't believe people in this thread badmouthed Finlay's jacket. IT WAS HIS ENTRANCE ATTIRE FROM WCW YOU IGNORANT FUCKS
