the Vito suicide watch never ends.

<font color=goldenrod>Yup. Just call me Moe Szyslak.</font>

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2011 01:14 AM

Honestly though, it never gets old hearing fans of quality franchises predicting the coming apocalypse because something like their kick coverage is weak or their third string tight end has turf toe. You guys have it rough, man.

I know Hanso feels me on this. All the rest of you can suck it.

8-8 might be a generous prediction at this point.</font>

I hope theres some sort of Batman curse on the Steelers.

Quote:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers returned to training camp for an afternoon practice after briefly going rogue on Saturday. http://images.ibsys.com/2011/0805/28775748_200X150.jpg About a dozen Steelers suited up as members of the fictitious Gotham Rogues against the Rapid City Monuments in "The Dark Knight Rises," the new Batman movie that's currently filming in Pittsburgh.Thousands of black and gold-clad extras were recruited to play football fans in Saturday's stadium scene at Heinz Field. A Rogues logo was painted on the 50-yard line, and "Steelers" was replaced by "Gotham Rogues" in the home end zone. The fans saw Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward wearing his usual No. 86 jersey -- for Gotham instead of Pittsburgh -- and former coach Bill Cowher making his return to the Heinz Field sidelines, playing a Rogues coach.Other players included quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Willie Colon, Troy Polamalu, Heath Miller, Ike Taylor, Ryan Clark, Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel."It'll be a fun, neat experience for us," said Roethlisberger, who joked that his teammates may need Screen Actors Guild cards now."Hopefully, I'll make the cut," Smith said. "Batman's the best superhero. He's awesome."

Linebacker LaMarr Woodley told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he was a big Batman fan as a child and was excited to be in the movie.Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl was also there as a Rapid City coach.

Apparently Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil are fucking shit up in camp. So excited about this D for once

Aguakate 08-07-2011 03:22 AM

In his HOF speech, Deion Sanders mentioned that when he was younger, he was ashamed of his "momma", due to her working as a cleaning lady in hospitals and stuff, and his peers making fun of him for that. His solution? Becoming rich and famous so his "momma" wouldn't have to work as a cleaning lady.

...Uuum...sounds like YOU'RE the problem, guy.

It's looking amazing for the 2012 draft.

What the fuck are you talking about? That's awesome. Good for him.

Kris P Lettus 08-07-2011 01:40 PM

Also, why did you quote "momma" like that is something crazy to call one's mother??

Supreme Olajuwon 08-07-2011 02:28 PM

the "blacks" use such silly words

Innovator 08-07-2011 03:26 PM

What an asshole. He wanted to make it big to take care of his mom.

49ers got a receiver and a safety. Watch out world. We might win 6 games instead of 5 now. Be on the fucking lookout.

I think Harbaugh can get 8-10 wins out of them. Its the NFC West for crying out loud.

Alex. Smith.

Evil Vito 08-08-2011 08:33 AM

<font color=goldenrod>The fact that they are giving Alex Smith yet ANOTHER year, 7 fucking years after he's already been proven to be a huge bust...just tells me that they are hoping to tank to get Luck.</font>

RP 08-08-2011 09:48 AM

Eli Manning just died. Bummer

Kris P Lettus 08-08-2011 10:33 AM

Can not wait to see Mark Ingram.. Saints improved on every position that was trouble last year.. got bigger on the d-line, got faster at de, got more depth at db and sured up our running game with Ingram..

I can not f'n wait for football..

Right?

Like hearing someone complain that after their two potential 1000 yard RBs, they lack any DEPTH at HB.

Hanso Amore 08-08-2011 11:31 AM

The Bills are rolling into this season counting on Shawn Merriman to anchor a shitty defense, and Karl Malones son to start at LT - By the way, he has now played Football longer in the NFL than he did in college and High School COMBINED.

Ugh.

Ermaximus 08-08-2011 11:46 AM

Hanso, I feel you. The Jags have vastly improved a terrible D, but now they severly lack an offense. I mean yeah we have MJD, but everyone and their momma knows we hand the ball off. Mercedes Lewis can't do everything either, and Mike Thomas should be the #1 receiver now that Sims-Walker is gone. Can't wait until Gabbert takes over at QB.

Droford 08-08-2011 04:06 PM

I got a pretty good deal on my Tix to the Ravens/Titans game.

Paid face value ($60) for 2 tickets in LOGE section 320 ROW D. Free Shipping too, but I had to pay $15 service charge on both tickets. Not bad.

http://media.fansnap.com/venues/lp-f...n-loge-320.png

My tickets are further down though, but same section

Im excited.

Hanso Amore 08-08-2011 04:25 PM

I like being in the upper section to have that high POV myself, though I dont love the corners. All in all its a good deal and should be a good seat Dro.

Hanso Amore 08-08-2011 04:26 PM

Can I ask why you needed shipping on tickets? They dont let you print them out?

Innovator 08-08-2011 04:28 PM

Yeah I love being in the upper level, you can see the plays developing easier.

Kris P Lettus 08-08-2011 04:35 PM

Yeah the club level 2nd) is usually the best seats in the Dome.. gonna try and make the prime time falcons game the day after xmas..

Kris P Lettus 08-08-2011 04:36 PM

Listening to camp coverage all weekend made me soooo anxious.. I really think we have a good shot at another title run if everyone stays healthy..

Battlekat 08-08-2011 05:09 PM

Just read on nfl.com that the Ravens landed Ricky Williams for two years. As much as I despise that team, it's definitely a great move to add depth in the backfield.

Hanso Amore 08-08-2011 05:14 PM

Who the fuck is going to start at RB in Miami?

I guess either the rookie Daniel Thomas (I think thats his name anyway) or Reggie Bush. Either way thats a pretty shitty running back situation.

I didnt pay the fed ex shipping, just the $15 service charge per ticket for the 3rd party seller.

There was a code for free shipping on orders over $100.

Droford 08-08-2011 05:25 PM

Williams and Leach >>>>> McGahee and McClain

Seems to me the Ravens are going back to running the football

Right, My question is why there was shipping at all. Like all of the tickets I have ever bought were digital downloads.

Nark Order 08-08-2011 08:55 PM

The 49ers definitely aren't going to try to tank for luck, I don't agree with the Alex Smith decision but if Harbaugh wants to get behind him for one last harrah then fine I guess. Maybe I'll be surprised. Probably not. But maybe.

Well..there were options for downloaded tickets but I chose the cheapest one and it wasn't an option. Plus I like the idea of having an actual ticket that I can keep and not a regular piece of paper. Not to mention the fact that I would have spent more money because shipping and handling was free but the fee to print tickets out wasn't.

Evil Vito 08-09-2011 09:35 AM

I'm trying not to put too much stock into training camp injuries...but just like last year it feels like the Giants' injury list is growing by the day. It's almost like they didn't do one iota of conditioning on their own during the lockout.

Weird. Cant believe there is a Digital Printout fee for tickets in some places now. I like to have a physical ticket as well, was just curious.
