Jays had lost 17 straight in Yankee stadium until recently
|
Yankees gotta turn it around like right now. Possibility of Tanaka returning late is more and more unlikely if the Yankees fall out of the race.
|
Yankees are closer to last place (7 games) than they are first place (8 games)
I'm dying for the Red Sox and Rays to get just hot enough to put the Yankees in last place. O's winning the division PLUS the Yankees in last place? I do not know what I would do.. |

If I was the Yankees I wouldn't rush Tanaka back. Between LAA and the DET/KC race, I don't think they even have a chance in the wildcard race, no point tempting the baseball gods with their investment.

Actually with both of the Colorado guys off of the table, the Marlins trying to extend Stanton, and the Cubs (justifiably) asking for the moon for Castro or any of their top hitting prospects, I'm having my doubts that the Mets will be getting the big time bat they need this offseason.
They're pretty much gonna pin the 2015 season on hoping Wright bounces back from his poor season, d'Arnaud and Duda play like they have the past month and a half, and Murphy has another All Star season. That's a lot of ifs for a division that should still feature really good Nats and Braves teams and a Marlins team that is ready to be a serious playoff threat. :-\ |

tbh the feeling is mostly mutual

Next MLB comish down to either Rob Manfred from the MLB or Tom Werner from the Red Sox after Tim Brosnan from the MLB dropped out of the race.
According to ESPN, Manfred is the heavy favorite with around 20 teams leaning towards voting for him. EDIT: Final vote ended up happening very quickly

BREAKING: Rob Manfred elected as MLB's new commissioner, replacing Bud Selig. That good or bad?
|
Thank god not Werner
|
....and the Braves continue to hit like they are JV.

Knew they lost a bunch of times on his birthday but wasn't aware it's been an actual streak |
they also lost a bunch of other games too
|
Jays haven't won since I've started watching them. :(
|
Rays got all the way back to .500 after being as far as 18 games down. 4th team to do it.
Way to go, Yankees. Ya made history for another team......again. |
Sometimes I feel like all I have is the Starlin Castro hit streak.
|
Not a single game on at the 1 PM EST time slot. Fucking FOX.
|
Yesterday was the Beat the Streak in a Day thing... I only got 36/57 :'(

I am thankful no Jays games seem to be on today. Everytime I turn it on I see the last three or four pitches.
|
I start watching as Jays have the Sox tie it at 3 runs a piece. Fuck sake.
|
Can't wait till Daniel Norris gets called up. He's faced 38 batters since getting called up to Triple A and struck out 23 of them. 1 walk.
|
Somehow got a good performance against King Felix tonight even though our bats have been bad.com
David Price is the best |
Fuck yes. Also, I do not know why RDD but that sig constantly makes me think you are Damn Inator.
|
Thought Jays and Brewers played tonight. Spent like ten mins trying to find it. Watching Angels vs BoSox ATM. BoSox be my second team so I'm half interested.
|
how is your "second team" a team in your team's division
so dumB |
Not so much second team I guess. More like the Bruins in hockey. While not truthfully a fan I'll root for them unless they play Montreal.
And since the Expos had to fuckoff to Washington I'm stuck with Toronto to cheer for. |
ah that makes a bit more senses
|
Yankees are putting in metal detectors to get into the stadium, "standardized security" for all parks
|
With 2 outs in the 9th inning and his team losing, a batter gets the 3,000th hit of his career but is thrown out trying to stretch it into a double, ending the game. The closer gets his 400th save and the starting pitcher gets his 300th win in the process.
WHO GETS THE BALL? |
