Bears just seem like they're gunna give up a big play.

Triple A 09-07-2008 11:38 PM

Fucking Brady. Kinda makes me feel terrible for some reason. I dunno why but it does.

NY Jets Super Bowl champions

Kris P Lettus 09-07-2008 11:51 PM

Saints D stepped up without our best player on the field.. The rotation at CB, the whole LB corp and the D-Line were impressive..

That pick fucked up their rhythm but a hard fought divisional win..

RP 09-07-2008 11:58 PM

Peyton will win this game!

Crimson 09-08-2008 12:01 AM

..or not

Crimson 09-08-2008 12:02 AM

Colts,Pats, Chargers all lookin shaky..here comes Pittsburgh.

SammyG 09-08-2008 12:06 AM

Wow, Bears up 16 late.

RP 09-08-2008 12:18 AM

i'm swick serioulsy

RP 09-08-2008 12:20 AM

way to conservitive of a game plan. No running game. The defense couldnt hold on 3rd down. I'm worried.

RP 09-08-2008 12:22 AM

bears just flat outnplayed better then us

SammyG 09-08-2008 12:27 AM

Wowwwwwww, what an upset. God Damn.

FearedSanctity 09-08-2008 12:41 AM

lol at NFL.com having a banner AND picture that say pretty much the exact same thing

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-08-2008 12:50 AM

I really hope it was the MCL and not the ACL, if its the ACL I think somebody's gotta give Daunte Culpepper a jingle...

Fucking blows though, first week of the season and the Patriots chances of winning a Superbowl are potentially over already.

Skippord 09-08-2008 12:51 AM

god I hate when the Broncos open on Monday

doesn't feel like football's back and I have to go to school

Ninti the Mad 09-08-2008 12:58 AM

Superbowl curssssssssssssse for the Pats

Triple A 09-08-2008 01:02 AM

Wow, Pats, Chargers, and Colts all not looking very good.

INTERESTING.

You never know. Things didn't go too badly the last time your star QB went down early in the season and an unheralded backup came in for the rest of the year

Ninti the Mad 09-08-2008 01:13 AM

Cowboys and Eagles looked fantastic.

Next Monday.

Yeah but I remember seeing Brady play in the preseason before he ever started a meaningful game and I thought "Wow this guy is pretty good" When Cassel played this year in the preseason I thought "Wow this guy is pretty bad." Hopefully I am wrong but I highly doubt lightning will strike twice, Cassel could end up being pretty average but I think that will be about it.

Maybe Maroney will finally step up and be a big time consistent running back now?

D Mac 09-08-2008 01:43 AM

Some people were saying that tackle that put Brady out was dirty. That's fucking stupid. Pollard had a Patriot on top of him and was just trying to ankle tackle Brady.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-08-2008 01:49 AM

Anytime a QB gets hit low like that people are gonna say its dirty. I don't think it was.

I really don't see how his knee is all tore up from the hit, it looked bad but it didn't look as bad as a lot of others I've seen. Like if his foot was planted in the turf the whole time I could see his knee being ruined but it seemed like it slipped off the turf at the last second. Holding out hope its not as bad as everyone is projecting right now

Loose Cannon 09-08-2008 02:02 AM

been saying it all week to people. Favre to Cotchery for the bomb and bam, TD baby

Loose Cannon 09-08-2008 02:06 AM

I love Pennington and all, but I forgot what it was like to have a QB that can launch it deep into the endzone. nice to have.

Nervous Ferret 09-08-2008 02:11 AM

Chad Pennington is the greatest human of all time. I was half rooting for him on that last drive

Loose Cannon 09-08-2008 02:20 AM

yea I know. it was classic Penninton. I felt like I was watching the New York Jets play the New York Jets at the end

This might be the year the power swings back to the NFC..

DrA 09-08-2008 03:15 AM

When was the last time the Colts and Patriots lost in the same week?

DrA 09-08-2008 03:19 AM

Week 14 of the 2006 season.

Not quite as impressive as I thought it was going to be.

Kris P Lettus 09-08-2008 03:32 AM

lol

SammyG 09-08-2008 03:55 AM

Scared shitless again today, Pace went out holding his arm, but he is ok.

Bennett AKA PIECE OF SHIT, is hurt again, major sprained vagina or something, and Little is hurt again. Why do we have such terrible luck with injuries. Why is my team so terrible. EVERY YEAR. Fire Linehan. Please.

At least I have my Dodgers :)

Because they fucking suck.

Also, the D'Backs fucking suck :nono:

SammyG 09-08-2008 04:59 AM

Like, wtf, our line isn't that bad talent wise, but the opposing team can rush Bulger any time they want. Also, Jackson is the man for taking that hit today and holding on to the ball.

Nervous Ferret 09-08-2008 05:03 AM

yeahhh jetssssssssssssssssssssssssss

DrA 09-08-2008 06:25 AM

Alright guys, for you betters out there, I am making Minnesota over Green Bay as my Shoe-In of the week.

Furthermore, Oakland over Denver is going to be my Lock of the Week.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-08-2008 08:54 AM

What % of the time are you correct DrA? So I can try to figure out what % of the time you are incorrect.

It wasn't dirty, but in fairness it's the same thing Wilfork got fined for last year (falling forward player on on him).

Yeah, the Pats won without one of the best QB in the league, and the Colts lost with one of the best QB in the league, I think the colts will be fine, Manning may just needed a game to get his "game legs" back.

and assuming Addai doesn't have a serious concussion that lasts all year, they'll be fine.

As for the Pats, yeah, Cassell has never looked good, but wasn't bad yesterday and I don't see Moss and Welker fumbling that often in a game.

Don't forget they still also have an easy schedule... 10-6 wouldn't shock me... but yeah, once the playoffs hit thats a different ball game...

ok, what is the difference between your "shoe-in" and your "lock" and what was the spread when you made those?

A friend of mine wanted Lions -3 this weekend, I liked the Falcons so rather then placing the bet I took it myself... nice getting the juice :)

Hanso Amore 09-08-2008 10:16 AM

Buffalo simply destroyed the Seahawks. They arent nearly as good as they were a few years ago, but they are still a playoff favorite, so good win.

Favre got lucky, those bullshit blind tossups wont work every game.

Bill vs Jets for the AFC east.

Triple A 09-08-2008 11:49 AM

Cowboys -6 over Browns was prob the lock of the week.

Also Jets -3 over Dolphins and Chiefs given +15 1/2 in the Pats game. Easy

I dunno what was up with Peyton, and, well...the Colts in general last night. Maybe it was just opening night jitters or something, but I dunno, cause he's never had trouble before or anything.

Ugggggh, fuck the Bears.
