Context is s real thing Droford. You make it sound like Baltimore is sounding the charge and making a run from behind. The reality is the opposite. Their lousy pitching and run differential is catching up to them and they're falling out of it.

Same for Boston really..

Damian Rey 2.0 08-31-2016 01:12 PM

No Droford. Not really. Boston didn't go from 4 games up to 3rd place in less than 2 months.

Ruien 08-31-2016 01:15 PM

Lol

Droford 08-31-2016 01:51 PM

Boston was 2 games up in 1st on June 1st

July 26h they were 2.5 games back in 3rd

Damian Rey 2.0 08-31-2016 01:58 PM

So 2 is the same as 4?

Droford 08-31-2016 05:15 PM

How much of a difference is there between 2 games and 4 games..it not like the Orioles blew a 10 game lead. I don't think either Red Sox Jays or Orioles have had bigger than 4 game lead so far..

Droford 08-31-2016 06:13 PM

Fangraphs has the Orioles going 16-14 remaining 30 games to finish 88-74 and get the 2nd wildcard playing Boston.

If 88 wins is the magic number then Detroit would have to go 18-12, Houston 19-11, The Yankees 21-10, KC 20-10 and Seattle 21-9. None of these teams could play .600+ ball the entire year and now I'm supposed to be worried..nah. Plus Seattle and Houston play 6 more times and Detroit and KC play 6 times..

Droford 08-31-2016 06:28 PM

Orioles claimed Drew Stubbs..If only it were like..2011 although he has 8 SB which is 6 less than the entire orioles team

Droford 08-31-2016 06:37 PM

Also looking at Michael Bourn from the Dbacks

Bad News Gertner 08-31-2016 10:01 PM

Did the O's pick up a garbage can in those deals? Because that's where those players belong.

Ruien 08-31-2016 10:41 PM

Lol. Tied with Detroit now.

Remember when Droford said Boston and Toronto had no show at winning the division? Lol.

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-31-2016 10:43 PM

Saunders was eating dickcheese until the Oriole series. Couldn't fucking believe he hit a bomb off of Brach.

It's almost like he'd never seen a season of baseball before.

Damian Rey 2.0 08-31-2016 11:45 PM

4 games is pretty much the same as 2 games guys.

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-31-2016 11:54 PM

In fairness to the Orioles if their starters pitch how they pitched against the Jays, they actually have a good chance of getting back into it.

poopfromweiner dude 09-01-2016 12:39 AM

SPREAD YOUR ASS CHEEKS DROFORD ILL GET THE BROOM

Ol Dirty Dastard 09-01-2016 12:40 AM

With just three days remaining for the Orioles to add players to their roster who would be able to play in the postseason, the scramble is on. However, the Yankees—who are lower in the standings—have priority on waiver claims. That means that any player put on waivers—including revocable ones—must first pass through every team lower in the standings than the Orioles in order for the Orioles to be able to work out a deal.

Smart moves by Orioles to sure up their outfield, I'm disappointed Jays didn't add another left-handed reliever, come postseason time I don't think the combo of Cecil & Loup will be enough to get it done....

I'm sure they tried but mo move was available to make. Cecil could potentially find his form.

Bourn brings zero to Baltimore. He's not the base runner he once was and he's a zero at the plate. They'd be better off giving Joey Rickard more playing time, and that guy fucking sucks.

Even if he does, I want more than one reliable lefty to come out of the pen.

Ol Dirty Dastard 09-02-2016 06:27 AM

Well we can hope Aaron Loup is possessed by the ghost of of Randy Johnson.

He has 1 less SB (13) than the entire Orioles team. And Rickards season is done he got out on the 60 day DL

I'm regards to Puig i know it was the Yankees

Ol Dirty Dastard 09-02-2016 09:44 AM

It's called gamesmanship Droford. They are now direct wild card rivals since you know, Baltimore has completely shit the bed after the all star break.

poopfromweiner dude 09-02-2016 10:12 AM

So excited to watch dro's horny O's get completely ASSfucked <<< nudey girls click here

Stolen bases and base running are two different things. The latter is all encompassing. The former is not.

He also gets on base 30 points below league average and hasb zero pop. So you have a guy who's an out machine who's one decent skill is contingent on doing something he sucks at; getting on base.

He sucks Droford. There's no way around it.

Damian Rey 2.0 09-02-2016 11:03 AM

And good for Baltimore that Rickard is out. He sucks. Losing a terrible defender who can't hit is addition by subtraction. Except when you replace with a player almost as bad in Michael Bourn.

The Orioles will still be in 3rd. Primarily because they're 2.5 up and even though it's a 3 game series there's little chance they play tomorrow's game.

Damian Rey 2.0 09-02-2016 05:14 PM

Hawk Harrelson went on a mini rant insinuating that Kris Bryant isn't much if at all better than Todd Frazier. Said that because Bryant is hitting 90 points higher it's skewed the perception.

Then went on to say Frazier is better defensively and is right on Bryant's tail in homers and ribbies.

Lmao someone take Hawk out to pasture. The game has passed him by.
