The announcers are talking about DDP vs. Benoit and the Outsiders against the Steiners. Plus, the Hogan/Sting rematch.

Cole should be required to watch this show. Bobby Heenan is playing the heel color man, but he's adding to each match through his insightful commentary. He's rooting for the heels, but he's doing it by playing up the psychology of the match rather than just blindly hating on the faces.

I can't help but think that this rating has to be a dissapointing number for WWE, since last week's rating was a 3.97. Especially considering this week's RAW was far better than last week's show.

Of course, as long as the improvements keep happening, I don't care about the ratings. Eventually, the numbers will rebound if RAW's and SD are consistent in quality...

This year has been pretty odd for things to start feuds like CM Punk vs Cena started off when Cena showed no respect to Punk's diet Pepsi drink.

WWE Reportedly Overhauls SummerSlam Hours Before Raw
 

Alberto Del Rio has once again been victimized by WWE's haphazard booking as his long planned match with John Cena at SummerSlam was nixed hours before last night's Raw telecast in Hampton, Virginia.

Creative overhauled the match line-up for SummerSlam Monday afternoon after deeming their creative plans for CM Punk for the event as "awful." Del Rio was effectively removed from the title picture as a result. WWE's braintrust felt that had Punk not been slotted in the title match, his much talked about storyline would extinguish.

Though Del Rio had the rug pulled out from under him once again, creative has the 34-year-old pegged for a title run this fall. WWE announced today they will present a landmark tour across Mexico this October and a number of high ranking officials feel the countryman returning as a conquering hero will garner a great deal of media attention.

Meanwhile, The Miz was at one point scheduled to reign supreme in the WWE Championship Tournament on Raw. Creative later changed their mind and the WWE Championship was awarded to Rey Mysterio, who got to hold the belt for approximately an hour and a half.

WWE's going to fuck up this CM Punk angle...I can feel it.

Interesting. That means they're protecting Miz. And can't say I care about the Del Rio situation. He's pretty much been yo-yo'd and is losing a lot of steam. He'd be dead in the water without the MITB.

It's surprising how late they changed it.

I wonder if it also meant the rumors of the new belt was scrapped as well since Miz was originally rumored to win the new belt from the tournament but on RAW it was just the replica of the old Cena style belt.

I'd assume Rey is going to get tossed out of any chance for the title at Summerslam with his rematch next week and lose again to Cena.

WWE made an unprecedented move several months back by announcing John Cena vs. The Rock for next year's WrestleMania a full year in advance - and it appears we'll be seeing more big matches set up this way. This is somewhat of an "old school" approach - with the company deciding on a featured match and then 'working backwards'

Wrestling ratings usually pop for the NEXT week, not the current episode. People have to find out what happened first. Remember the rating the week Rock "returned" (3.14) was nothing compared to the following week (3.9) after everyone knew about it.

Now if next week's rating remains the usual 3.2 or worse, I may start to worry

Derrick Bateman has won every match since returning, almost as if WWE is telling the audience who to vote for. Yet despite that Titus O'Neil continues to win every challenge because the fans cheer for him solely due to the dog bark/association with Hornswoggle. Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd have main evented the show for about a month now. Every week its the same thing on repeat.

I really have no idea why they are dragging this season on for so stupidly long. I almost wonder if they don't have 5 guys in FCW they feel comfortable calling up.</font>

Cena has 11 reigns with 3 occurring just in the 1st half of this year and could have at least 12 before the next Wrestlemania if the plans of Del Rio cashing in and Cena vs Rock stays as a championship match.

Watching ROH: Greatest Rivalries (rented from Netflix). My first dose of ROH Wrestling and I am kinda digging the wrestling style.

Still catching up on SmackDown! (up to two weeks ago now) and I've noticed that AJ is an awesome wrestler. Some of her stuff is off, but she comes across as a wrestler, not a Diva, and is enjoyable to watch in the ring (from an in-ring standpoint). She could develop into something really awesome down the road.

Has there been an official reason why TNA doesn't like Samoa Joe or The Pope considering both guys are tied for dead last (0 pts) in the Bound for Glory points table?
