I agree that these guys need to learn how to conduct themselves on Twitter, however, the bar has been set very low by a then-in office POTUS. Gonna take some time for the platform to “correct itself”.

LOL This Fucking Company, in today's World how have they not been cancelled?

Punk gonna snap and go home eventually.

WWE wants people who are coming out of college, athletes in their early 20's they can create from scratch, not a mid 30's Indy guy. |

WWE looking at WARDLOW to feud with Roman and Lesnar, potential new Undertake role that's been worked called "GRAVEDIGGER" apparently WWE has been in contact with Monster Truck about a licensing of that classic American trademark.

We may have to rename this the "Official AEW Twitter Meltdown Thread" at this rate.

Apparently it’s not only the big time that comes with pressure.

CM Punk should probably take the therapy option.

Lol, AEW is putting out a rap album featuring its black talent telling the story of their come-up for Black History Month. A lot of people are already dunking on them for being tone-deaf. Brandi has even come out and said “I have nothing to do with this, so please give it a chance.”
You can’t make this shit up. |

If you ask me I think putting out a rap album is basic thuganomics.

Remember that one clip of Punk shouting at a fan "you have a vagina!!"
Wonder how quick he would get canceled if he did it today... |

I think that Tony has blown it with Andrade. When Andrade came into town he certainly had a breathe of fresh air about him and seemed to be immediately launched into the main event scene. There was a few weeks of exciting stuff with Andrade and then... Whatever he's doing now.
I don't mean to sound dramatic but I think they've blown it with him. Now he just cuts random quick inaudible backstage segments and has a TERRIBLE manager. Maybe Flair's Darkside controversy did cost Andrade a major angle for AEW and now they are regrouping creatively for Andrade, but I feel the quick chance of having a new legit main eventer in Andrade is out the window. I'm almost at the point where I think Andrade shouldn't get resigned when negotiations come up, especially if he only signed for a year initially. |
He was nearly "canceled" for it at the time, wasn't he?
|
The TPWW Right to Say Stupid Things Initiative should extend to “Wrestling Twitter”.
Therefore I’d like to officially condemn CM Punk for calling that guy stupid just because he said something stupid. |

Andrade can’t speak English and they clearly aren’t interested in giving him a mouthpiece as opposed to letting him learn to cut his own promos. It’s a shame Zelina went back to WWE. In the meantime, Andrade had a great series with Pac, a great match with Cody and now they’re regrouping with him. It’s fine. Until he gets a mouthpiece or his English jumps leaps and bounds, he’s going to be limited in how far you can go with him. He’s fine. He’s still being regularly featured and presented well. He’s just in a holding pattern.
|
He had to apologize for it almost immediately after if I recall. He also called him a homo and asked if his name was Sally. The blowback was almost immediate. Today he’d get dragged relentlessly but it didn’t fly under the radar at the time.

I like Daniel Garcia's twitter account because every time he loses a match he provides a technical explanation of why
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I’ve seen many people get caught by Sammy’s leapfrog, backflip evasion, dropkick on AEW, and years before that on the independents. He gains momentum with this pattern in his matches, and it’s hard to slow him down once he hits it. I thought this was the solution. <a href="https://t.co/EkrkV4p7zW">https://t.co/EkrkV4p7zW</a></p>— Daniel Garcia (@GarciaWrestling) <a href="https://twitter.com/GarciaWrestling/status/1481510984728592384?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 13, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
That's great. So many wrestlers break character on social media. Very cool to see someone specifically use it to keep kayfabe alive.
|
it seems like a lot of indie cats use social media for the same reason. i'm thinking specifically of effy, especially his feud with matt cardona. he's doing the same thing now building up the match with jeff jarrett. it's really cool to see instead of it being the place where folks just go fuck it, i post whatever i want.
|
Very excited for House of Black. I feel they are going to get over huge and the tag division is endless right now.
|
Something that truly baffles me is how the IWC gives him a free pass for ditching his friend during a highly contested trial.

I really wish they would stop so heavily using the run in or "beat down after the match" stuff tbh... seems like 2-5 times per show for the past few months, seems lazy. Feel like the first year was much more creative
