Finally finishing up the last season of True Blood with the girlfriend, then probably going to introduce her to Dexter afterwards.

Lock Jaw 10-30-2020 03:10 PM

Finished Star Wars: Rebels season 4... one of the finest Star Wars related things made. The story of these Rebels so much better than any in the movies....

Seanny One Ball 11-03-2020 10:20 AM

Been watching "The Norm Show", pretty good so far.
I've also decided to give "Perfect Strangers" a go.
Bronson Pinchot was big in the mid 80's to mid 90's, I wonder what happened to him?!

Supreme Olajuwon 11-05-2020 09:47 PM

We’ve started watching What We Do In The Shadows. It started as a Halloween thing but it has continued because this show is a riot. Love it.

El Vaquero de Infierno 11-06-2020 04:22 AM

I'm currently on the fourth season of Hell on Wheels, and I'm about two or three episodes into the final season of Penny Dreadful.

Probably the funniest show on TV

Frank Drebin 11-07-2020 04:12 AM

Finally got around to watching the end of The Good Place. Really great, sweet ending. Gf was crying through most of it. Nicely done little gem, especially for a network TV show, for those of you who haven't seen it.

Seanny One Ball 11-07-2020 03:58 PM

Anyone watching "Truth Seekers" the new Amazon show with Nick Frost?
There are some mighty big laughs in it.

OssMan 11-07-2020 11:48 PM

The young and the restless

Lock Jaw 11-08-2020 01:35 AM

Finished season 1 of The Boys. Was pretty good I guess.

Lol at sticking a CGI tower onto Roy Thomson Hall and pretending it is the Vought building though

Black Widow 11-08-2020 09:22 AM

Baylee's Chronicle

This was great. I'm going to watch it again.
It's a comedy/mystery/horror with some lovely camaraderie in it. The performances are solid, nobody stretches too far so it rolls along at an amiable pace and you can enjoy the jokes because they aren't coming at you too thick and fast.

Reviews seem to be a little wishy washy but for my money it hit the right spot at the right time.

Seanny One Ball 11-08-2020 04:58 PM

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost created and wrote it apparently. Simon Pegg plays a supporting character but he's put to good use.

GD 11-08-2020 10:51 PM

I am genuinely excited for this one.

Tom Guycott 11-08-2020 11:39 PM

Went back through WAYNE since it has been unceremoniously dumped onto Amazon Prime with little fanfare. It was another one of those "YouTube Original" shows, but since it wasn't Cobra Kai, the company had the bright idea of not really advertising it at all.

Shame, really, because it is worth a watch. I'd venture to say that if you like Shameless, you'd like this.

Hopefully you will find it as endearing as I do.
It was very well put together, the director also did Stag that crazy British stag-do camping horror.

teamXtremist 11-09-2020 02:07 PM

Queens gambit

This was pretty good. I didn't really like the main character at first but she grew on me pretty quickly.
Decent story and the cast is generally great. Different enough from anything else that it seems new.

7.5/10

It was a lot of fun.

The Undoing on HBOMax

Really good so far, two more eps to go. All the acting is really good and I haven't figured out the murder mystery yet.

Donald Sutherlands “cocksucker” monologue in The Undoing just went into my top 10 for all time greats. Just an absolutely unreal line. Dave (FX via Hulu)

good stuff. usually dont go for comedy

Sepholio 11-16-2020 10:48 AM

The Expanse. Decent yet typical scifi. I like it though.

El Vaquero de Infierno 11-16-2020 11:10 AM

The Expanse is great. A new season starts next month.

Fignuts 11-17-2020 02:33 AM

Started watching the final season of Clone Wars. Really good so far.

Seanny One Ball 11-17-2020 07:57 PM

Watching "Tales From The Crypt" episodes.
Never seen this before beyond clips or as a reference.

First episode I chose is great in premise but there's a terribly racist charicature of a Jamaican stoner that would pretty much doom it nowadays.

Seanny One Ball 11-17-2020 08:04 PM

The episode ends on a pretty brilliant note.
They even fix the stereotype issue.

Genius.

Episode "Abra Cadaver" 4/4

Seanny One Ball 11-17-2020 08:05 PM

Excited because the next episode has John Lovitz.

I just love that guy.

Now go watch Mom & Dad Save The World

Seanny One Ball 11-17-2020 10:49 PM

I did that every day of my childhood because my parents are superheroes.

Lock Jaw 11-17-2020 10:50 PM

Jon Lovitz wasn't there though

Love that movie. For whatever reason it makes me think of Stay Tuned (also love).

Lock Jaw 11-19-2020 11:44 PM

Watched the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special.... enjoyed it.... prob the best thing involving the sequel trilogy cast

El Vaquero de Infierno 11-21-2020 01:07 PM

I've finished the third and final season of Penny Dreadful. It was the weakest of the three seasons, and I'm not quite sure if it was a fitting end to the series as a whole; I felt rather underwhelmed by it.

I'm currently half-way through the fifth and final season of Hell on Wheels.

Lock Jaw 11-21-2020 02:15 PM

What a ripoff..... found out a channel here is airing the new Animaniacs.... but we only get the channel in SD here.... trying to see if I can find it online somewhere instead....

drave 11-21-2020 02:17 PM

Hulu? Its like $6 bucks. Shit - usually you can get a free trial. You can watch all of the new episodes and cancel during the free trial.

Lock Jaw 11-21-2020 02:23 PM

Hulu ain't available in Canada

I see Animaniacs is on Amazon Prime here via an additional subscription through it... but they only have 4 episodes up, guess they aren't releasing all at once.... will wait until they are all out and then get a free trial to that subscription....

Destor 11-21-2020 10:12 PM

i may have binged animaniacs

also i start fargo s4

Seanny One Ball 11-22-2020 03:23 AM

I'm holding off on Fargo until it's all available.
I hear it's a weaker season but that could mean it's still great. Earlier seasons have all been phenomenal.

Welllll that's fucked.

Damian Rey 2.0 11-22-2020 11:16 AM
