Rose is scheduled for March 22nd, but nowhere mentions that he's the final host.

Abraham Washington for RAW GM!

HOW BOUT IT?!

Favre4Ever 03-03-2010 05:59 PM

The Pete Rose thing only works when no one knows it's coming.

Favre4Ever 03-03-2010 06:00 PM

Barack Obama appears as the final guest host and implements a permanent GM.

Beth Phoenix Fan 03-03-2010 06:36 PM

They should have Chuck Norris and Mr.T Co-Host raw

TheAdamEvansFan 03-03-2010 06:54 PM

Conan O'brien should be permanent Raw GM.. Maybe have Leno make him this in an announcement on his show. This would BRING ALOT OF RATINGS to WWE!!! Now in the sensible case, I'd say Regal as GM so he can play a mean heel up to the point where The Rock comes in this summer and throws his jabroni ass out of here!

They bring in the Rock to stop the candy-asses from ruling Raw for good!

Kane comes out, Thombstones Pete Rose, Michael Cole " It's far to dangerous for Celebraties to host this show anymore."

PERIOD

Fignuts 03-03-2010 07:51 PM

Great use of the word "period", right there.

HBPunk 03-03-2010 09:20 PM

Kane tombstones Pete Rose, Vince ends the hosting thing because of this, punishes Kane by taking him out of MITB, Kane gets a proper storyline finally and a newly bald Charles Montgomery Punk wins his 3rd MITB ladder match.

Easy peasy lemon titties

I just would no explaining no nothing...then I'd put Regal in charge again cause it was cool

They could just say, “Next week, the final guest host of RAW will be Pete Rose,” and then announce a new General Manager shortly thereafter. The next week, Abraham Washington comes out as the new General Manager.

Ah come on, thats absurd

glanville6 03-04-2010 12:14 AM

We got Vintage Pete Rose on March 22nd, so unfortunately Stone Cold won't end the run of Guest Hosts.

But, If I can be serious for a moment...

I'd like Lance Storm as a permanent GM. He has a lot of history with a lot of guys on the roster (Jericho, Christian, Edge, Regal, etc...) so there is background with people he can screw over or help out. And he is a heat machine. I know a lot of the PG era kids won't know him...but I think he'd get over with them.

I think JBL would be good, but I know he'd want to wrestle too. I think Storm can stay away from the ring.

loved the Rose-Kane segment at Mania 14. Thought the match following it wasn't bad either.

TheAdamEvansFan 03-04-2010 09:05 AM

Woah.. Hold the FUCK ON. Benoit was the best wrestler WCW/WWE has ever had, along side Eddie Guerrero. I'm a Criminal Justice Major, and the facts that have come out about the murder/suicide has made me believe it was a set up by her ex! They found a whine cooler next to Chris's body, yet, the toxicology reports showed that he had 0 in his body. He reportedly doesn't drink, yet his wife and ex, have a massive drinking issue. After he supposedly smothered his son and wife, he reportedly called and texted fellow wrestlers to wish them luck at the PPV and give them tips on their matches. Who does this after committing murder and supposedly being drunk and on Roid Rage? The garbage cans in the kitchen and bathroom were FULL of beer cans, yet again, nothing consumed by Chris Benoit.

Set up anyone?

You have Bret Hart-Vince McMahon stipulation if Hart wins, he’s General Manager, but if McMahon wins, Hart is gone.

Or after WrestleMania on RAW the following night, Hart announces the board of directors ruled a decision and says that he’s now the General Manager of RAW. Hart announces that Batista will have a rematch with John Cena at Extreme Rules and says that it will be a Last Man Standing Match. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross hype the match.

I agree with Xero, but unless the guest host has something to promote, like Trish's new YogaStudios, then it won't be a wrestler... Every host has got something to promote, it's the whole reason they're on the show, fans or not...

Upcoming RAW hosts: SNL cast members

So, what do you guys think about this news from the front page?

WWE announced today that Saturday Night Live cast members Will Forte and Kristen Wiig will bring their MacGruber co-star Ryan Phillippe to guest host Monday Night RAW when it emanates from East Rutherford, New Jersey on Apr. 19. MacGruber opens on Apr. 23 and also features a number of WWE Superstars such as Mark Henry and Montel Vontavious Porter. Jericho recently praised Wiig on his Twitter account, calling her “a dang genius and the funniest female (SNL) cast member of all time.”

Jeritron 03-10-2010 08:52 PM

They should return the favor by letting Jericho guest-host SNL

Mr. Pierre 03-10-2010 09:01 PM

I'll be going to this show, so the smark in me is disappointed that the RAW guest host crap isn't over. But who cares, I'll have a blast. Maybe that guy from Beerfest will take a Pedigree of somethin...

Guest hosts on MNR

Do you like guest hosts on Monday Night Raw and how involved should they be?
Thought Criss Angel sucked. Some nights we could do without one.

Beth Phoenix Fan 03-20-2010 08:24 AM

just the wwe legends

I wish the A.P.A would host raw together

tjmidnight420 03-20-2010 09:49 AM

From what I've heard the guest host bit is gonna be ending soon, I hope the last one comes out and appoints an "Ironclad GM" kinda like HBK's role as comissioner (He couldn't be fired.) Someone like Regal, but book him to have no respect for Vince since he can't be fired. Vince should also take some time off after Mania, or be booked to have no pull on the shows so he starts the corp. angle some were talking about with Bats. and McIntyre.

bostonbill41 03-20-2010 10:15 AM

I think its ridiculous the night after Wrestlemania we get somebody trying to promote a movie instead of a legend.

HBPunk 03-20-2010 10:26 AM

GUEST HOSTS ARE FUCKING HORRIBLE!

Nobody wants these fuckers here, i want heel Vince and thats it. i was talkin a while ago about Vince, Bats, Drew maybe Cody and others starting a new corporation, maybe even add The Hart Dynasty after WM. They could be pissed off cos Bret ignored them since his return, Vince gets them to beat down Bret on RAW after WM? Anyway if they must do guest hosts it should be Retired wrestlers or Celebrities who are known Wrestling fans - Freddie Prinze was good, maybe get Adam Sandler since he's a huge fan too

The Pope 03-20-2010 10:27 AM

This was a bad idea when I initially heard of it, and it continues to be a bad idea.

dablackguy 03-20-2010 10:39 AM

Its a mixed bag, some have been good - Shaq, Barker, Jesse V
Others have been terrible - Springer, /Criss Angel, Piven

I think you can basically tell who follows wrestling and who doesn't in terms of hosts. I think if they want it to work and fans to buy into it, have more legends. Hell, even wrestlers from the past that were significant but not legends would be ok.

Jakob Synn 03-20-2010 12:57 PM

The guest hosts thing was great at the begining but when they kept stretching it on that's when it started to becoming stale. Especially with people who couldn't pull it off.

I understand it was more of a marketing ploy both for the WWE and the Host, but lets face it, some fell flat on their face fucking hard.

Though I was impressed with Jewel and her husband. I thought they were going to be lame, but they weren't. I mean they weren't great, but they weren't bad.

I'm just trying to think who was the worst? Jonny Damon or those 2 Nascar drivers. Oh my god, were they bad.

Traiklin1982 03-20-2010 01:01 PM

I have been enjoying the hosts. Some of them have been very good(Barker,Hart,Austin,Shaq)

Traiklin1982 03-20-2010 01:04 PM

Yeah Damon sucked. I also enjoyed the napalian guy hosting. Him coming out in flairs robe was funny as hell. They really dropped the ball with Chris Angel though. That could have been great. He could have even done a major trick in the ring or something. Plus hes in good eneough shape to maybe do a match.
