He's like 290 now, but he slimmed down from 328 (billed, let's say 310-315 realistically) and back then he wasn't fat.
|
Joe should start wearing polka dot tights and call himself the Samoan Dream.
|
The 'new Umaga'?
Book it. |

If Joe ever thought about joining the WWE, it's probably a "I'm going to do it now before there's no interest in me" thing. The only thing that would stop Joe from signing is if he still has that "artist's mentality" where he doesn't want to conform even for the big bucks. |

If Joe goes to the E I see Vince putting him with the Usos and dub them Samoan Swat Team 2.0....which I guess would make him the new Samoan Savage.

Vince would want Joe to come to WWE so he could job him out and put him in funny skits on Raw with Santino and Kozlov. If Christian and Gail Kim can't get decent pushes, no way in hell Joe would. Not to mention he'd probably have to do two years in FCW to learn the "WWE style." |
I think Joe would bypass a lot of that developmental stuff. He's got friends in high places, and while he might not be given the "keys to the company" or anything, I think they'd use him as a strong mid-carder at the very least. I could see him being put with The Usos, but it'd need to keep with their "We're a new breed of Samoan" thing.

Who are his "friends in high places"? Because Punk ain't one.
|
No actually Joe and Punk are best friends. If he leaves and I hope he does because he just too good. I hope to see him in Japan or ROH again.
|
I mean Punk isn't "in high places".

As far as the "Joe is Fat" stuff goes, I don't really understand it from a company's perspective.
Look out at the audience at any wrestling show in the country and tell me there aren't a shitload of fat guys. So, what's wrong with giving these fat guys someone to look up to in the wrestling business; someone who, like Joe, can actually wrestle and put on incredible matches. If he were a fat piece of shit with a terrible work rate that would be another story entirely. |
Ever since Bischoff and Hogan got there, we have seen less and less of Samoa Joe, for some reason...maybe Eric isn't a huge fan of his or something? I mean, he's a former Champion...you would think he would be involved in important storylines.

But Joe should be removed from Suspension and put into a feud with RVD. Then have him go over RVD. Its gotta be him or Nigel McGuniness. But, alas TNA does not nor will the ever know how to create new stars. |
It just goes back to the major problem with these "Wars."
WWE Management is lazy. TNA Management is incompetent. laziness trumps incompetence. |
I met Joe in Houston. I'll never forget what he told me. "We put on a good show when they let us." I guess he finally got fed up, haha.

Isn't his 'Speed and Agility for a big man' the whole point?. Thats what Joe does and always has sold himself on.
As if it matters at all that he's a bit of a tubster, so were countless numbers of good workers (Vader, Bigelow, Bossman, Bubba Dudley, Albert et al) and fatties are an important part of any roster. Would Mark Henry have a job if it wasn't for his sheer size? Wrestling companies use fatties to make smaller guys look good when they beat them. Always have and always will. |
Aren't you supposed to remain in Casual?

Aren't you glad I've briefly jumped the fence again? Top notch post I made there m8.
