LOL Angle got the knees up? Looked more like Jeff just missed

CSL 09-05-2010 10:03 PM

Angle kicks out of Jeff's finish twice in a row in very quick succession. How exactly is anybody supposed to take Jeff Hardy as a threat/believe he can win this match?

CSL 09-05-2010 10:08 PM

bahahahaha

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:08 PM

time limit draw in a tournament match OMG LOL

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:09 PM

LOL this match was decent but now it's just fucking moronic

CSL 09-05-2010 10:09 PM

What an overbooked piece of shit. Hardy vs. Angle in WWE/ROH/any other company on earth would probably be excellent. Only TNA could fuck it up like this.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:11 PM

Time limits on ppv? Really...

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:11 PM

...also why wouldnt Bishoff just say this match goes till theres a winner instead of a extra 5 min

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:12 PM

Hardy with some Cena-esque selling of the ankle there.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:12 PM

LOL Jeff Hardy and the selective sell, one minute he's limping the next he's running hitting a double leg drop kick then he's limping again,

Xero 09-05-2010 10:13 PM

The whole ankle lock deal bothers me. It was on for fucking ever. He should have tapped or his ankle should be broken. Then Jeff fucking no sells it? Fuck that.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:13 PM

god I hope the 5 minute limit expires

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:14 PM

HAHAH Countdown clock like its a Ironman match

Exactly and then he kicks out of a top rope Angle slam

LOL OMG the crowd actually chanted down the time limit countdown, fucking morons.

LOL 5 more minutes this is fucking retarded.

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:15 PM

Just say there has to be a winner, dear god.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:16 PM

Just say finish, not 5 more minutes

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:16 PM

I'd just like to point out, that this easily tops any ROH, Puroresu, Dragongate, etc, finisher spot fest that people bitch about.

Emperor Smeat 09-05-2010 10:16 PM

 another OT.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:16 PM

It would be hillarous if its a double count out now..

CSL 09-05-2010 10:16 PM

Bischoff's face appeared to be screaming 'this is stupid'. You have Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle. Two legit stars. Two 'super workers'. There's a nice simple story there (tournament semi final) Just give them 20 fucking minutes and let them tear the house down.

thegoat 09-05-2010 10:17 PM

Angle Has To Win..

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:17 PM

yes Jeff Hardy no sells some more sweet

I dunno about that, DG anyways. Those matches are one big finish ;)

CSL 09-05-2010 10:18 PM

And now Kurt's bleeding! At a time when it means absolutely fuck all! Go TNA!

Emperor Smeat 09-05-2010 10:18 PM

Was the crowd chanting "over-rated" after each time the clock counted down since it made no sense?

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:19 PM

whooo the dreaded Boston Crab :|

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:20 PM

This is getting goddamn stupid now.

CSL 09-05-2010 10:20 PM

lol fucking hell. How that live crowd is not shitting all over this I do not know.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:20 PM

LOL are you serious? Are you fucking serious.

Emperor Smeat 09-05-2010 10:24 PM

 5 minutes ago it gets declared there has to be a winner and now its a no contest.

A good match absolutely killed off because of the stoppages.

If they were smart they'd have said unlike some other places we don't stop matches over a little blood. Instead they just did exactly what the WWE would do only fucking lamer.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:26 PM

LOL Pope needs to like not speak ever again

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:26 PM

So who thinks this one ends in a no contest too?

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:27 PM

Also, is this the main event? WTF?

CSL 09-05-2010 10:27 PM

Pope is money and he's in this fucking shed.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:27 PM

Alright lets have pope and anderson be a draw and go fatal 4 way:roll:

Yeah right.

The first ever 4 way iron man match.

I'm calling it.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:30 PM

Match will probably have a run in and end up getting thrown out......Also why is Impact not on this week? I looked at the guide and its a Gangland Marathon

Well then Bound for Glory can be a 4 way match and Angle doesn't have to win, just not get the pinned so he doesnt have to retire because he wasn't "pinned".
in fact, they can do that with a triple threat too, winner of pope/anderson vs angle vs hardy

thegoat 09-05-2010 10:32 PM

i say winner of this wins the belt

Gangland probably gets better ratings than impact. Spike is dumb regardless because thursday is NFL Kickoff night with the Vikings and Saints.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:34 PM

who is heel/face in this?

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:35 PM

Both are faces, ironically all four finalist are faces

Wait really? They cancelled it for Football? You dont see Raw cancelling for monday night football. if thats the case it shows a lack of faith in there show. I never watch it live anyway i always dvr it and watch it through out the week.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:41 PM

bet at Bound for glory When "They" show up. Its during the title match and they still wont have a champion. it would be funny if no champ is crowned by the time RVD comes back

Seriously thought Pope was going to win it and win the title.

lol at Anderson saying "give me that fucking (something)".

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:50 PM

Kinda funny that WWE x superstars were the last 2 main event matches

Xero 09-05-2010 10:50 PM

I think that was the most alive the crowd has been all night.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:51 PM

This asshole gimmick is weird.

What Would Kevin Do? 09-05-2010 10:52 PM

THat was more like the ending of an Impact then the ending of a ppv.

Xero 09-05-2010 10:52 PM

So I guess they ended it on this match because they didn't want the PPV to close on fucking retarded booking.

Lara Emily 09-05-2010 10:52 PM

Well that was a god awful PPV, finally got to witness TNA's suckitude first hand lol.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:53 PM

That kinda just felt like a episode of impact minus the 15 minutes at the begining and middle of blabbing on the mic.

george 09-05-2010 10:54 PM

yeah right! that was an awesome PPV. that angle/hardy match was incredible. kept my attention for over 30 minutes, that's so rare. pope and anderson should've been second to last, but having the show end with anderson on the mic was pretty cool.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:54 PM

Hardy/Angle was pretty damn good until Angle locked in the ankle lock. Then it went to absolute shit.

Joe Kerr 09-05-2010 10:56 PM

So let me get this straight....

To make up for having no impact this week, they make their PPV play out like EXACTLY a bad episode (which is already kind of redundant now that I think about it) of impact.

HAHA I LOVE TNA!!!:D

The Show Off 09-05-2010 11:01 PM

I liked the PPV, I thought it was intriguing and I look forward to iMPACT and Bound for Glory.

Not going to really bother explaining why because everyone hates TNA and they don't care about an opinion that doesn't say that TNA is the worst wrestling ever.

Xero 09-05-2010 11:01 PM

Honestly thought the I Quit match was "okay" and could have been upped to a great match if it had JR and maybe heel King commentating it. The commentary killed that match for me.

I'd like to hear your opinion on Hardy no selling a 3 minute plus ankle lock.

No you don't. You just want to point out all the reasons why TNA is garbage, which you're more than entitled to do.

I'm not about to get in your way of blasting this show. It's all opinion so it's not as if I can say you're wrong on anything. So continue critiquing, it doesn't change my enjoyment one bit.

Thats not completly true, Tna sometimes has some great matches....let me rephrase this, TNA before bringing in wrestlers who shouldnt be wrestling anymore had some great matches. AJ styles and christopher Daniels for example. Also I enjoyed the Motor city Machine Guns and the Generation Me match. Problem is though Motor city Machine guns Wrestle the exact same match everytime. Same double team moves every match, like that move where one flips over holding there opponents head up while the other runs and drop kicks the face. That move was cool the first few times but now its like you guarentee you will see it every match.

...And loyalty to himself, his body, and the fans. Hardy has gotten to the point where he no longer even tries to hide when he is calling the match.

Xero 09-05-2010 11:12 PM

I mean, really, the PPV had some good wrestling. I enjoyed Dreamer/AJ and the first part of Angle/Hardy. The last part of Rhino/Abyss was good.

It's just shit like the ankle lock and the 5 more minutes thing just ruin it for me. I actually understand what they were doing with the Angle/Hardy match and its finish. That doesn't make the match any less logic-shattering or any better booking-wise.

I can suspend belief, but I can't suspend belief of someone being in a crippling hold for three minutes then go on to run around the ring and jump off the ropes for another ten.

If you can enjoy that, cool, all the more power to you. Some people like bing-bang-boom action-action-action with little rhyme or reason and some people like a little more substance.

Does that mean I didn't get enjoyment out of the show? Of course I did, otherwise I wouldn't have watched it. But the bad parts vastly outweigh the good parts for me.

I've been seeing statements like this quite a lot recently. Normally I'm right there to start moaning when something's overplayed or people are jumping on some kind of bandwagon (see: Steve Blackman, Matt Hardy being fat, Cena wins/Cena = boooo in general etc) but this seems to be the new defence of the product from TNA fans. TNA's booking is completely retarded, mindblowingly bad at times and this ruins just about every single show they present (that I see anyway, they have some streak going) despite the overwhelming set of talent they have. I am reminded of this every single time I watch TNA with their constant inane angles, storylines and finishes. I don't have some desire to see them fail, the exact opposite in fact. It's a shame but they are the drizzling fucking shits and no amount of blind optimism is going to change that.

The majority of the roster. Dixie Carter. Eric Bischoff. The fact they have a decent TV deal. The fact that there is somewhat of a limited option for guys to go elsewhere than WWE and make some money. The cruiserweights. Blood (when used right). They could probably go from awful to a very good show overnight with the talent they have, which is probably the dumbest part of it all. All of those positives are shit on by the product they present.

Don't treat me like I'm some kind of idiot. I know smart posters like yourself don't want TNA to fail and you're just venting your frustrations. I'm all for that go ahead. There are things I didn't like at the PPV but the overwhelming amout of the PPV I enjoyed. Does that make me optimistic? I guess so. But it doesn't make me blind.

I'm not disputing your complaints. All I was say is I don't want to get into a situation where I pull apart the whole PPV piece by piece and explain what I did and did not like. All I know if how I feel after the PPV and that is satisfied.

I've noticed that you don't share my satisfaction with the product. So, by all means, express yourself as I am expressing my self.

No reason to treat me like I'm some sort of window licker because we differ in points of view. I didn't do that to you don't do that to me.
