I would imagine you would get a download for the soundtrack separately. There is an in-game soundtrack thing, but that's just part of the game.

VSG 12-26-2011 07:29 PM

Ya, I confirmed that and just bought the game alone.

Boomer 12-26-2011 08:20 PM

Dredmor update: 10th floor. 9th floor was fucking hard. 10th floor has been much easier so far. Muscle Diggles are the hardest enemies I've seen so far. Don't fuck with them.

Extreme Angle 12-27-2011 01:08 PM

50% off AudioSurf... Gay

FearedSanctity 12-27-2011 01:10 PM

So who else just typed "I really like the game, but I couldn’t find the stupid cake" for Portal for their recommendation?

Extreme Angle 12-27-2011 01:33 PM

Lol... I just wrote something shitty about bunch of heroes...
50% off Witcher Enhanced Edition for crafting 7 coal :/
Update*
Just got Lego Batman, care to trade?

Boomer 12-27-2011 03:15 PM

Bought KOTOR out of convenience, as well as Sequence and some Dawn of War 1 stuff. I had the DoW stuff pirated because Steam didn't have it when I first looked, and I haven't gotten to it yet, so I figured it was worth my purchase. No idea when I'm going to feel like playing it though.

Sequence looks great, especially for a dollar. Don't care for DDR stuff, but it has enough else going on to be interesting.

Still going in DoD. Floor 11 will be completed without issue. Worried about future levels with lots of elemental damage...pretty much the reason why floor 9 kicked my ass.

VSG 12-27-2011 03:38 PM

Buying KOTOR, Jedi Knights pack and probably Battlefront 2. There will be issues with Windows 7 requiring patches and other way arounds though :(

VSG 12-27-2011 04:39 PM

Ok has anyone here managed to run KOTOR on Win 7? Seeing only mixed reactions online.

Testicle 12-27-2011 05:34 PM

Got to floor 10 in DoD and then saved and quit. When I try to load it back it crashes. I've read that this is a common problem. Pretty depressing.

Boomer 12-27-2011 08:27 PM

Died on floor 11 unexpectidely. Used a portal to get to the last bit of the floor I needed to explore, and just got overwhelmed. Tried scaring them away and going invisible, and it didn't work out. Oh well. Kinda done with rolling a melee only character. I would love to try out some of the magic stuff, but it seems to make you so fragile it worries me.

Awesome game though. Definitely need a way to heal yourself somewhere in your skilltree. Was hoping the fungi skill tree would allow me to make more healing mushrooms, but those mushrooms heal like 7 HP. Surprisingly good tree though, definitely made me withstand just about any crazy traps.

Boomer 12-27-2011 08:28 PM

You'd figure I would have learned enough to roll through this game considering this is my 4th or 5th character, but the game is tough and too many situations can go sour quickly. Makes me want to keep going back though.

Testicle 12-27-2011 08:33 PM

Vegan dominates.

Yeah, for a bit. The lack of widescreen killed it for me and I had to turn it off though.

VSG 12-27-2011 10:20 PM

What did you have to do? Do you know if I can just play it in Win XP compatibility mode?

#BROKEN Hasney 12-27-2011 10:26 PM

Nothing, it just worked.

Read something about it only liking modern NVidia cards though and having to fiddle if you have AMD or Intel GFX.

That was added in the expansion, and it's one of the few things I haven't tried out yet.

Reminder to get this before Jan 2nd.

Gosh darnit, I missed this :(

RoXer 12-29-2011 12:05 PM

Doubtful my computer could run it anyway. Maybe.

G 12-29-2011 12:43 PM

you'd need more than on board graphics

RoXer 12-29-2011 01:40 PM

The Binding of Issac looks very dull, bland, and brown.

Convince me otherwise, Boomer and Hasney

RoXer 12-29-2011 01:53 PM

I don't want to waste my hard earned 5 quarters :n:

VSG 12-29-2011 02:11 PM

Getting Mafia for nostalgia sake. Loved that game.

Original Zelda style dungeons with a very moving narritive.

If you don't want it from that at the price it is now, I doubt I could convince you.

RoXer 12-29-2011 04:19 PM

(I already bought it)

Do you know how hard I worked for those 15 dimes?

I'm not going to just spend it willy nilly. I need a much more in-depth review than that Hasney. :n:

RoXer 12-29-2011 04:20 PM

Also, to hell with trying to get the Rise of Immortals achievement. Unless someone has an easier way.

This is a MOBA-style game. Simply play PvE (Player vs. AI) and make sure to hit the enemy champs without getting the kill to secure an assist. Select the "Tomb of the Old One" PvE so that the game is 3v3 instead of 1v1.

Man, if I didn't have Recettear already....God I have wasted SO much time on that game.

May not be your cup of tea, but....

I can't login to the steam forums :/.

Binding of Isaac is pretty great (I guess I'm late on trying to convince you though). I will admit though, it does not have as much replay value as I would like. It does have a ridiculous amount of items to find and try out, but most of them suck. The rogue-like comparison is certainly apt. The only Zelda-like thing about it is the dungeon layout.

It was probably worth whatever it was on sale for though.

Extreme Angle 12-31-2011 04:54 AM

Yeah it's great. Traded LEGO Batman for L4D2

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 12-31-2011 06:01 AM

The Binding of Isaac is incredibly addictive. Even when you die, and have to start again, the randomness keeps it from feeling like a chore.

Extreme Angle 12-31-2011 06:20 AM

Can't get through it.
Was unstoppable but the awesomeness of my pickups made me feel invincible..
I could fly over anything, had a little guy shooting for me, whenever I killed something my health regenerated, triple shot. Had the more tears one too... Was gay when I died

Add 33% off Renegade Ops and 50% off Silent Hill Homecoming to my "stash"

Cooler Tom Schuler 12-31-2011 04:42 PM

Won Portal 2, L4D, 11 coal, 1 coupon. Crafted 7 coal into another coupon.

Bought Binding of Isaac and Braid.

Cooler Tom Schuler 12-31-2011 04:43 PM

Also found some tricks to get TF2 running pretty smoothly on my long-overdue-for-the-trashcan computer.

Extreme Angle 12-31-2011 04:57 PM

Anybody want to give me 3 coal for my coupons?
50% off Oddbox/AudioSurf and Witcher Enhanced

Cooler Tom Schuler 12-31-2011 05:04 PM

I think the going rate right now is about 5 coupons=1 coal.

DS 01-01-2012 02:08 AM

Steam is out of 3rd party games/coupons for the gift pile. So you'll only be getting Valve coupons and games if you craft now.

I received the following:

30 coupons
1 copy of DOD:S

I am livid. How the hell can this supposedly by random...31 rolls and 30 coupons? Unbelievable.

VSG 01-01-2012 09:33 AM

Wow I feel for the poor guy.

Jura 01-01-2012 10:14 AM

Yeah that doesn't seem random at all but he was a sucker though. To get all the achievements you need to buy a lot of games just to get an achievement and that's how they get your money, if you're gullible enough.

#BROKEN Hasney 01-01-2012 12:15 PM

Loving the butthurt on Steams forums.

"I PAID MONEY FOR VIDEOGAMES FOR THESE ACHIEVEMENTS AND ALL I GOT WAS COAL AND COUPONS!!! WHAT BULLSHIT THIS IS!!"

Why don't they just throw all their money at lottery tickets?

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 01-01-2012 01:46 PM

Buying a game solely for the achievement is beyond moronic.

Extreme Angle 01-01-2012 02:40 PM

I bought games for the achievements if they looked appealing. Don't regret any of my purchases... £0.99 for the majority of them, I thought to myself how much Arcade machines cost and that's only for 5 minutes
