Son of a bitch. I enjoyed TTP.

ClockShot 05-09-2014 05:30 AM

ABC renews the bulk of their shows. Cancels Mixology and Trophy Wife.

Called that the moment I first saw an advert for Star Crossed. It looks absolutely dire.

I'm in love with Aimee Teegarden so I think it's a travesty.

whiteyford 05-09-2014 12:50 PM

Well I'd do ungodly things to her but I was trying to seem classy.

They just had 2 new episodes two weeks in a row. Don't know if it means its surviving or if they are just setting it up to end it all this season.

I could but I won't, not ever.

Officially axed by NBC today along with Community.

NBC cancels Revolution, Community, Growing Up Fisher, renews About A Boy, Hannibal

ABC cancels The Neighbors, Super Fun Night, Suburgatory

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 03:33 PM

FUCK YOU NBC!

Community :(

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 03:36 PM

Looks like NBC is now officially dead to me until football season.

ClockShot 05-09-2014 03:37 PM

Nah. The Blacklist is an awesome show. Come to think it, anything with James Spader is great.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 04:05 PM

Looks like Revolution will air its last remaining episodes to finish off the series.

Wow good for David Walton finally getting another season for a series.

Jura 05-09-2014 04:13 PM

I blame the absence of Donald Glover, Chevy Chase and Alison Brie's cleavage as the downfall of Community.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 04:15 PM

Four solids reasons why the show got cancelled.

whiteyford 05-09-2014 04:26 PM

Uggh Community and Suburgtory :'(

Lock Jaw 05-09-2014 08:37 PM

Too bad about Community.... the first two seasons were pretty much the most brilliant things ever. Third season was still good, but not up to the level as the first two. Season four was merely "ok" with some stuff that was pretty terrible as well. Season five was just a mess, especially after Troy left (before he left there was actually some great stuff).

They still haven't done anything about Last Man Standing which leads me to think they forgot it was still on.

parkmania 05-09-2014 10:45 PM

ABC has placed a series order for Marvel’s Agent Carter for the 2014/15 season, according to Variety, starring Hayley Atwell. Atwell played the role in Captain America: The First Avenger, and also starred in a brief video short that was distributed with the home video release of Iron Man 3. That short set up the upcoming series, by focusing on her life as she starts a new career as a secret agent after the disappearance of Captain America. That’s similar to the way Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was introduced, as a short on The Avengers DVD (see "An 'Agent Carter' TV Series from Marvel?" for the video short).

ABC also renewed Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a second season.

If you’re keeping score at home on comic-based prime time TV shows, after Thursday’s announcements, it’s DC in the lead with five (see "'Constantine' to Series"), and Marvel trailing with two (and Image Comics with one big one, albeit on a channel that is in fewer homes than the Marvel and DC shows).

And with a total of eight comic-based primetime shows on TV, the comics medium will be getting exposure far beyond what it’s ever had at any time in the past.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 10:49 PM

About 6-7 million viewers on a sunday every week. I think it's probably safe especially with Disney's connections to the right. (Last Man Standing)

Lock Jaw 05-09-2014 10:56 PM

Too many comic book tv shows. New shows in the past, I felt I could ignore, because who cares. Now the shows are based off of comic books and I am compelled to watch them because I am a nerd. Too many shows to keep up with.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-09-2014 11:07 PM

Larry Wilmore (The Daily Show's Black Correspondent) will replace Colbert at the 11:30 spot whenever the Colbert Report ends. Show will be called the "The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore," probably January 2015.

Jura 05-10-2014 01:41 PM

If you make it onto CBS then your chances are good. They have a lot more viewers though so the show has to be pretty bad to be canceled.

whiteyford 05-10-2014 02:08 PM

Enjoyed Raising Hope.

ClockShot 05-10-2014 04:30 PM

Afternoon update to Jura's list.

NBC cancels Dracula

ABC renews Last Man Standing

CBS renews The Mentalist. Cancels Intelligence, Bad Teacher, Hostages, Friends with Better Lives, and The Crazy Ones.

Liked Intelligence but got boring after it became more CSI and less hi-tech hacking/virus uploading. Surprised Mentalist survived.

whiteyford 05-10-2014 05:01 PM

Liked crazy ones too, bad teachers only had 3 episodes.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-10-2014 05:07 PM

The Crazy Ones only had one good thing about it.

Lock Jaw 05-10-2014 05:34 PM

Always been meaning to check out The Crazy Ones because of SMG, but never really did....

Tuned in once for like a minute and a half, and she didn't appear during that time, and it was dreadfully unfunny....

whiteyford 05-10-2014 05:39 PM

I thought it was quite funny once you got into it, definitely a lot worse out there.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-10-2014 05:49 PM

The two younger lads in it were pretty funny at times, to be fair. Thought Robin Williams was quite bad in it. "funny voice" just doesn't seem that great to me anymore. It didn't help that it didn't actually go anywhere either, like every single episode could be played in any order and it wouldn't matter in the slightest.

whiteyford 05-10-2014 05:58 PM

Think it would of gotten better as it went on honestly but wasn't shocked it got cancelled. The whole self contained episodes seems to be the norm nowadays though, suppose we're just spoilt not having shows cancelled after two episodes here.

Its actually been on Fridays the last two years which is where shows usually go to die but its been pretty steady ratings wise. The shows that have aired after it on fridays(Malibu country and the neighbors)were both canceled after moving/debuting in the Friday time slot.

Oddly enough, moving it out of the Friday slot now..I think it would end up getting the show canceled. The only other show I watch on ABC is the Goldbergs and I could see them moving it to Friday nights.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-13-2014 01:20 AM

Renewed for 4th season anyways.

Guess I looked at the calendar wrong.

Very impressive numbers for a Friday.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-15-2014 12:41 AM

Two and a Half Men is ending! Whoooooooooo!

Old people who watch Jeopardy and Wheel keep it on by accident and CBS gets the ratings for it.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-03-2014 11:59 PM

i'm not in it for sajak. i'm in it for the puzzles. gonna be on that show one day. need to hurry up before pat and/or vanna are dead. or i'm dead.

loopydate 06-04-2014 12:04 AM

I take the Jeopardy exam every time they do it. That shit's so much harder than the TV show.
