Wanda looks gorgeous, even in 'on-set' pics with no filter or anything. Her look echoes her design from the X-Men evolution cartoon. I love it.
Great to see Hawkeye again. He was missing all Phase 2, hope he gets extra screen time for that. That robot mock-up may be Ultron, or a higher mook. Whatever's it's standing in for is fairly bulky. Yeah Quicksilver makes Days Quicksilver look retched. Good thing that X-Men trailer was so awesome. |
Hoping Wanda and Quicksilver get actual costumes later in the movie, but it still looks good as is.

Cap (in new outfit) in South Korea:

Not clicking it. I really want to. Probably will next week. Or the next hour.
I'm gonna play it. |
Looks like a decent amalgamation between Cap 1 and Avengers Cap, except with rounded shoulder pads.
On that, too bad Hawkeye doesn't get a new suit.
Wonder what Tony's new suit looks like, other than the Hulkbuster. |
Hawkeye's costume would be hard to translate to the screen, without looking ridiculous.
I'm alright with what they have. He should have shades though. Cool black ops spy shades. |
I'm not saying throw the guy in all purple, but some kind of update would be fine.
Shades.
I would love to see him shirtless in bluie jeans, riding the motorcycle from the bat out of hell album covers
Looks a bit gay lol.
FUCK YOU THAT IS SWAG
SWAG....Forgot where I heard this, but people says that it means Secretly We Are Gay
It means whatever I use it for. It's a word, and they don't control me.
...Not anymore. |
On the convention scene, SWAG means Shit/Stuff We All Get.
Cap's New Suit (Better Shot):
SPOILER: show More than likely of Stark's design. Retains elements of his stealth suit, along with the WWII bulk we already seen in the vid. |
I dig it so much more than the Avengers suit
I liked the Suit from The Avengers.
That looks terrible
gayer than aids
Not really feeling it either. Doesn't really fit the character at all.

Thor goes back to his first armor? I'm not ruling out a costume change but it would be odd that everybody gets new duds except Thor who goes backward in fact.
And who are those cadets? Certainly not SHIELD. Stark starting an 'Avengers Unlimited' sort of deal? |

Guess you can see the armor better here. http://i.imgur.com/yiFsVV2.jpg |

IRON PATRIOT!
Fury confirmed. Thor's suit in between Dark World and 'alien' armor, like how Cap's suit is in between Winter Soldier and First Avenger. Quicksilver still looks kinda tacky, but so in love with Wanda right now. |
Loving Cap's suit
I love that Hulk's wardrobe is just the coathanger
Is it not his purple stretchy pants?
Cap's costume looks amazing!
Ah fuck they all do! |
Quicksilver can't get a good costume in a superhero flick to save his life...
His garb in X-Men made sense in context.
- The Twins will work for Ultron. They were teased as antagonists already, but now we know they aren't acting on their own. This would mean Ultron will be in contact with ex-Hydra criminal Baron.
- Like Bane (and many other modern villains), Ultron seems like a nice guy if not for the kill us all thing. - Yeah, we all guessed correctly that Vision is JARVIS in physical form. That is two machines Stark 'birthed', brothers in a sense. - Wanda has her mind-fuck powers as well as her telekinesis hex-magic whateverthefuck. |
I'm kinda excited about this film. I've been getting into the Marvel film/TV universe as of late, though I've never read the comics.
Even better for you, really.
Watched the Old Boy remake yesterday. Elizabeth Olsen has a great rack.
Really? She's cute but never noticed a great rack.
Yeah me neither until that nude scene.
Age of Ultron is looking good so far.
If the movie captures the vibe of that art (and they remarkably tend to), I am so gonna jizz in that theater.

Just dawned on me they're doing another mega-poster like the first movie. |
Elizabeth does not have a great rack, but it's workable.
Feel like with Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver, the team May be too large...
Cool.

Joss will make it work. |
More than likely we're gonna have rotating teams after part 2.

Who's that flying above the melee in the background? For some reason I think Magneto, but I know I am wrong.
Oh, they should have got the guy who played Quicksilver in the X-men film to be in the Avengers.

I know that different studios own the rights to different Marvel creation's/etc; but still, Evan Peter was one of the best things about the X-men film.
Also let's not pretend everybody wasn't super negative about him before the movie.
Prof. Selvig will return. I'm also thinking his days are numbered.
Somebody's gotta die, just saying. |
Nah, they'll just kill Coulsen again.
lol
No Black Widow?
Or maybe she's behind the dude.
Yeah, you can see an arm there.
Little dude needs to sit down.
I'll wait until the film comes out to pass judgement, but I'm not sure a 5-foot Chinese dude will work as Vision.

So everything we already knew about the film in 2 succinct paragraphs.
Yes. But what's important here is they never drop press releases before shit starts getting cut and printed. We should have something to see by Superbowl.
that description makes it sound awful. i dont think it will be but man is that an unappealing piece of writing
What are you on about? That sounds amazing.
The Avengers could be summed up as "when an other-worldly alien army makes an alliance with spurned of the throne Asgardian Loki, an unlikely team of superheroes must band together to save the world from ultimate destruction." And that shit was awesome. |
Yeah, it's a press release. They're always a little dry. They have to paint with broad strokes to avoid spoiling anything that hasn't already been leaked. Marvel knows what they're doing. I'm not worried.
Not saying it reflects the movie. Just reading it and im like "planet hangs in the balance" villainous Ultron" etc and im thinking wow...it sounds like a saturday morning cartoon.
Im sure i will love the movie however. |
Saturday morning cartoons are awesome though.
Nooooooooo. They just were because we were 5.
Avengers awoken my inner 5yo though.
These movies are basically Saturday morning cartoons come to life. No, they ARE Saturday morning cartoons come to life.
No, these movies are really good.
What's up with the false dichotomy of 'Saturday morning cartoons or good movies'?
Yeah, the whole reason I like these movies over the Dark Knight stuff, is that it's bright and colorful like a comic book come to life.
Seeing how everything's supposed to be dark and gritty nowadays, even some children stories, that is really something. I guess maybe people are as sick of everything being grey and depressing as I am and that's why they throw all their money at Marvel.
People will throw their money at anything they did entertaining. TDK trilogy and MOS were darker films and made heaps of money.
As for the synopsis, I'm sure the movie will be fine. My only concern is there's a ton of characters, but that was handed perfectly last time, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
Rumors flying around that Avengers 3 might be split into two movies, released in back to back years, as is the fad with a lot of franchises these days.
They'd have to either extend the contracts of RDJ and Evans which would cost a lot of money, or kill them off in the first part, so who knows if all this is true. |
Wouldn't that screw with the linear, macro-arc nature of the MCU? It's like the season finale of X-Files split between May of '97 and May '98. The timeline of 'episodes' in between will be strange.
Not if they structure a massive undertaking where the two Avengers movies are bookends to a complete story. Like after the first film, things are at a place where they split up as individuals or smaller teams to accomplish various goals before assembling again in the second movie that brings the adventure to a close.
Why not just call that Avengers 3 and 4 then?
Why not call "Avengers: Age of Ultron" Avengers 2?
