My all time favorite match of his was against Greg Valentine at Starrcade '83.

the dog collar match between these two was so vicious and bloody. It was and still is one of my favorite all time matches.

Nark Order 08-01-2015 03:38 PM

Something like that at least. Cardiac Arrest from what I've seen.

If Bret Hart was assassinated by a sniper or, a sharpshooter, if you will, that would be a little too ironic. Don't you think?

Bad News Gertner 08-02-2015 12:03 AM

He'd die of boredom if it were ironic

STD: "Actually Bret's nickname was taken from the boxer Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns and not from an actual hitman so no it wouldnt be ironic."

Heisenberg 08-02-2015 01:06 AM

Roddy Piper's death hit me a lot harder than Dusty's(no offense to the Legend), Roddy was on my T.V. all the time, following him to WCW and so on. Hell, I even watched his shit on TNA. He is one of the best heels that will ever grace a wrestling ring. I think it hit harder cause he was still booked to live another 20 years at least in everyone's minds. Dusty was a big dude and prone to health issues, but Roddy wasn't on the radar for any of that. I hope that dude does go on to live elsewhere. It'd be nice to see another Piper's Pit again.

Heisenberg 08-02-2015 01:11 AM

STD, can people from Boston poop from orifices of their body other than their ass?

Blonde Moment 08-02-2015 09:07 AM

Imo without Roddy there would be no Wwe today, at least not in its current form.

Agree. Without Piper, would Hulkamania have run wild?

Bad News Gertner 08-02-2015 11:26 AM

Orndorff was a very strong heel in 84. Not to the level of Piper, but not far off.

Blonde Moment 08-02-2015 11:30 AM

Can you see that whole angle leading up to Wrestlemania running the way it did with anyone else but Piper?

Bad News Gertner 08-02-2015 11:56 AM

Hard to say. Orndorff vs Hogan in Toronto drew 74,000 people to the Exibition Center ,so that feud was definitely a draw.

erickman 08-02-2015 12:02 PM

rusev was on the last pit one right thing that hapned to rusev this year.

Bad News Gertner 08-02-2015 12:17 PM

Why erickman, why?!!?!?

Damian Rey 08-02-2015 12:19 PM

Piper is the only old timer that, no matter how often he was used or how frequently they brought him back, he always delivered and never lost his appeal. Fan said it before, but has anyone ever been so despised only to be so loved as much as Piper? Every old WWF ppv I watch the fans are rabid for him when he's doing fucking color commentary.

Very, very sad sad. RIP Roddy.

Love that autograph story. My Uncle got me Pipers autograph on a business card, and I had it since I was a kid. Until a day my wallet fell in a puddle. I was so bummed about this. Not only did I lose one of the only things my Uncle ever got me, but to lose Pipers autograph was bad as well. I ended up getting it again though when I saw Piper at Axxcess.

Bad News Gertner 08-05-2015 10:33 PM

I'm surpised the concussion talk hasn't ramped up. Piper was acting even more "off" than usual this past month.

Those types of heels make the best faces. They are sooooo good as heels that the fans fall in.love with them and make the heel a face.
