Saw Orville got knocked down an episode. I have actually been enjoying this show and I figured I would have hated it. It really captures some early sci fi campy serials.
Orville picked up for a 2nd season.
Bryan Fuller and Michael Green have their posts as showrunners on American Gods. Them and Freemantle had differences on show length and direction for season 2.
Neil Gaiman who wrote the book was rumored to get on board as co-showrunner, but has since denied the report. Oh, and season 2 has not yet begun production yet. All together, this sucks because the show is really really good. But I know Fuller has a history of leaving shows if it ain't done his way. |

Fox renews The Gifted for a 2nd season.
nice
Stopped watching it a few episodes in not because it was bad, but because I just have a lack of time for everything.
Will they get a full season next year? Season one finale is on the 15th. Seems weird.
Animaniacs has received a two-season order from Hulu, and will return in 2020.

30 for 30 is always good.

I wanted to love the tick...hated it

Happy is a real gem
Much to no one's surprise, ABC has canceled Once Upon a Time.
Probably should have just ended it last season and not tried to reboot it. |
BattleBots, which started on Comedy Central and revived at ABC, will live again.

Evil dead had a ton of potential but the seconary cast was awful
What I assume is the finale for Lethal Weapon was pretty good. No way they make another season and recasting Riggs isn't going to work of they do.
DAMN.
Fox cancels The Mick, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Last Man on Earth. I really like The Last Man on Earth. I didn't watch the other two, but I heard great things. So it's probably my fault those two are gone. |
I caught a few of Brooklyn...meh. the mick i hadnt seen. Thought i more of a binge after they cancel it show...now i can!
Yeah, I guess I've heard bad things about Brooklyn too. Some people said they hated it, other that they love it.
Wow and the mick ended on such a crazy cliffhanger.
Brooklyn is sad news as well but i had heard the cast had already discussed this being the last season. |
Also have a feeling reboot TV mania will replace a lot of these shows.
The Mick :(
Quote:
Brooklyn 99 was funny. Don't know The Mick, but the name tells me it's about an Irish guy livin' in the US. |
The Mick is great.

It had a run though.

DAMN. Just realized the season finale of Last Man on Earth already aired....... DAMN at leaving off with a cliffhanger...... hate when shows get canceled with cliffhangers
Alright well, after Fox's big cancellation announcement, everyone else seems to be following suit with their decisions. Here's some of the majors ones. I'll try to group them by network/steaming service.
NBC: The Brave cancelled after 1 season. Taken cancelled after 2 seasons. Taken producers are looking around for a new home. Blindspot picked up for a 4th season. Chicago Med, P.D., and Fire all picked up. Law & Order: SVU has been renewed for it's 20th record tying (for a drama) season. A.P. Bio has been given a 2nd season. ABC: Speechless gets picked up for a 3rd season. American Idol has been given a 2nd season. It's 17th overall. Grey's Anatomy has been picked up for a 15th season. Which will be a milestone for the network since it will be it's longest running drama for the network. FOX: Aside from yesterday's bloodbath.... Empire renewed for a 5th season. The Resident has been given a 2nd season. Star gets a 3rd season. TBS: The Last O.G. and Search Party get another season. The Detour has been given a 4th season. The CW: Valor & Life Sentence both cancelled. The 100 gets a 6th season. Other Networks: SyFy cancels the expanse after 3 seasons. Producers are looking for a new home for a potential 4th season. Adult Swim wants 70 more episodes of Rick & Morty. But, no idea how many seasons what equals or when they're gonna air. Starz gives Outlander 2 extra seasons. It's 5th and 6th. HBO renews Westworld for a 3rd season. Netflix: The Joel McHale Show (starring Joel McHale) gets 6 more episodes attached to it's debut season Santa Clarita Diet scores a 3rd season. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will end with it's 4th season. But, Netflix is thinking about ordering a full length movie to serve as a finale. Streamers: YouTube Red gives Cobra Kai a 2nd season. Transparent over on Amazon will end with it's 5th season. Also, Jack Ryan gets a 2nd season way before the first season airs in August. The Handmaid's Tale over on Hulu gets a 3rd season. |
Please renew Lucifer
Oh no.

Designated Survivor canceled. Fuck. Was my favorite new show last year and "business picked up" this season.
Damn, Quantico got axed too. And that show JUST started it's new season.
Last Man Standing has been revived and is going to Fox. Tim Allen the rest of the cast will return. |
Maybe that's why they canceled Last Man on Earth
ABC must be currently making their decisions. More fates coming in.
American Housewife, How to get away with murder, and Fresh off the boat, Black-Ish, and Splitting up Together all got renewed. Shondaland shows Station 19 and For the people also picked up. The Crossing, Deception, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Marvel's The Inhumans, and Ten Days in the Valley all cancelled. The CW renews iZombie for a 5th season. |

Fox renews Bob's Burgers and Family Guy. |
CBS cancels 9JKL, Kevin Can Wait, Me, Myself, and I, and Wisdom of the Crowd. Elementary, however, has been renewed for a 7th season.
NBC picks up The Blacklist for a 6th season. The big news is that Fox has renewed Lethal Weapon. Bigger news is that Seann William Scott has been brought in to replace Clayne Crawford. But, he won't be Riggs. He'll be a brand new character. |
Fox picks up Gotham for a 5th season. It'll be it's last.
Too bad they can't kill off Bruce Wayne. Annoying little shit.
I've never watched Timeless, but my twitter was blowing up about it all night and so i tuned in and watched the 2 hour season finale. I gotta admit. I liked it. I dig time travel. I kinda liked it. Apparently it's possibly not getting renewed. That would be a bit shocking considering it was trending #1 over Westworld ( who had one of there best episodes ever last night ).
It will be interesting to see what happens. I might want to go back and check this show out from start, but if it get canceled, i probably wont. |
Timeless got spared once already. Twice would make it one lucky show.
Netflix renews Lost in Space for a 2nd season.
ABC renews Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D for a 13-episode 6th season. |
Quote:
I dont know what they do, but that seems interesting. |
Wouldnt compare a premium show to a broadcast show
Just watched the season/series finale of Lucifer........ dammit, I want another season bad......
Didn't catch the ending of Timeless as some kids game show overrun about 15 minutes and DVR didn't get it.
Not much is known yet but there are talks happening for lucifer and a 4th season. Be interesting to see who picks it up.

FTR Crazy ex is ending itself.
Fox will be airing 2 unaired lucifer episodes next week back to back. Perhaps lock jaw and I will snuggle up together and comfort each other as this lovely show comes to an end.
Amazon is reportedly in negotiations to save The Expanse and bring it over to Prime.
Roseanne, after being an huge success with it's revival, has now been cancelled as Roseanne Barr made a controversial comment on Twitter.
Whoa. |
Quote:
What did she say?
Bunch of racist stuff towards Muslims and blacks recently. The one that was the final straw involved her insulting the looks of a former Obama aide claiming she was the result of mixing Muslims with apes together.
Ha, that's ace.

Lucifer has been saved. Netflix has picked it up and given it a 4th season. |
