These are fantastic changes, and a great use of making lemonade out of lemons. We get to see Angle wrestle in a couple days + a AJ/Balor's a bit of a dream match

I'm not going to complain about Kurt Angle being back in a wrestling ring, but I never thought it would happen. I thought it was going to be a "let's never talk about this" scenario. They've obviously discussed it and cleared it.

I can understand why people are weird about this. Angle stepping back into a ring should be more than him as a replacement for someone. But then I remembered that Angle might get to interact with Cesaro. I'm not going to cry about that ever.

At this point that seems like it would be overkill. At least save something for the next outbreak, jeez.

Not really needed when you have Kurt Angle returning and AJ Styles in a interbrand match with Finn Balor. Should be enough to satisfy anyone really wanting to see the Shield that bought tickets and Angle and Styles probably give them more viewer's on the Network than the original plans anyway. Who would he even wrestle is the question?

The way WWE is responding to this, probably Shinsuke Nakamura at this point.

Reigns being out really messed up the PPV since the original plans were for the TLC match to have a huge amount of time. Probably in the range of 45 minutes to over an hour.

It's interesting how quickly they went to AJ Styles when their backs were against the corner. It's as if they know that's the kind of stuff the fans really want to see, and when there's some emergency and they have to abandon their stupid plans for whatever reason, that's when they realize that they have no other choice but to give the fans what they want as a last resort.

At the risk of coming across as an “unpleaseable internet fan” even further; I wouldn’t be having Finn in the paint for this match with AJ.

Got to agree with you on this , makes no sense to have the demon persona. He should come out as normal with his 'Balor Club' logo on the screen.

Got to agree with people's views on Jason Jordan ended up involved somehow , maybe he was helping The Shield all along and he was the one who attacked and tied up Curtis Axel backstage.

Angle will make his entrance to get the crowd to pop, but will probably be attacked and "taken out" before the match begins/he takes any relevant bumps. At this point it'll be a 5-on-2 squash against Ambrose and Rollins, until Kane and Strowman will have some kind of disagreement and will brawl off into the crowd and disappear. This evens the playing field a bit so that the SHIELD can get some offence in. From this point either team will win but there's your match. :y:

That's the "smart" way of playing it, but I think people get pissed if Angle is teased and then isn't Angle. If he can't be Angle, don't use him as Angle. That's why this is so weird, because if they are protecting him, then he shouldn't be there, so I assume he's going to do something, which is scary and exciting because I never thought they planned to use him this way (otherwise they would have used him this way).

The Bryan stuff is not as ridiculous as people think too. The stuff with brain injuries is still new footing for medical science and stuff. Obviously Bryan shouldn't be wrestling -- should anyone? He's found doctors who can clear him. I'm sure a large part of the WWE keeping Bryan out of the ring is because they don't want to undercut the medical opinion of their guy, to remain conservative on the issue and partially to keep him in a role where him being the preferred choice is not going to interrupt their story telling. If they are certain Bryan wants to wrestle and he won't cave on the issue, he has the medical opinions he can do it, the idea that Vince won't get the WWE doctor to re-evaluate Bryan and suddenly he is cleared to work part-time is not completely out of the realm of possibility.

I was in the "Bryan will never wrestle for WWE camp" for a little while, but now I'm not sure at all. There's just too much grey area with grey matter. The PR stuff doesn't make sense now, because if they release him he'll go to New Japan and do harder stuff. At least under their roof they can watch him.

It's certainly an interesting time ahead, and I think it's a far bigger story than some people think. There will be a nice, meaty 5-to-10 year contract shoved under Bryan's nose sometime next year, and it could change the direction of the wrestling industry.

It absolutely is. This company knows better, they just don't have to do what they know is better. And it's funny how when they book something people actually want to see, interest seems to go up.

I don't think WWE would care about pissing off the people like that. Considering that this has had a week of build and not even on a televised show, I'm sure they realize there's more money to be made in it, especially from a second-tier PPV. Also, this is the same company that mega-hyped Goldberg's return only to have the match last for a minute, so I don't think they'd be worried about advertising Kurt Angle only to not have Kurt Angle perform in a full capacity.

I guess we'll find out tonight. Either way, interest in this event has certainly gone up by about 726%.

Hope they don't cheap out and not give Angle his pyro.
