There was a show on last night, right?

I watched the last two episodes yesterday.
I like the Roddy/Dexter stuff. The Gargano/Balor/Lee match should be great. Don't know who Santos Escobar or the other two guys are but I'm interested. I don't like Cameron Grimes one bit, though. |
Oh. That Scarlet segment from two weeks ago with the hourglass was very good. Don't know much about her or Kross, but I'm into it.
|
The Santos Escobar shit is phenomenal. I love it.

I don’t watch until usually the morning after due to time difference. Guess that will change when I go back to work. So, disjointed is better than nothing?
|
Now that I'm caught up, I should be able to watch on Thursdays (while I'm working from home anyway) and start actually posting around here again.
|
NXT has in very quick fashion made a freaking monster out of Karrion Kross. Bravo!
|
NXT attracts fans who aren’t obsessive internet fans. They’re close to AEW in numbers but don’t generate the same discussion online. A lot of their “success” (if you want to call it that) is outside the internet bubble.
|
I heard that the average age of the NXT audience is like 54 or something also
|
Haven't watched this week's episode yet but did WWE seriously announce the return of The Great American Bash outta nowhere and with no real build to it?
Also just soo happens its being spread out as a 2 week event. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The Great American Bash is now expanding over 2 weeks. <a href="https://t.co/xoRZQzmDoA">pic.twitter.com/xoRZQzmDoA</a></p>— Fightful Wrestling (@FightfulWrestle) <a href="https://twitter.com/FightfulWrestle/status/1275990928067637248?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 25, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

I've said from the start that I'm willing to bet the audiences are much more similar than those who take the ratings literally suspect, and that the NXT audience is much larger and diversified than USA live on a Wednesday would tell them, but they tell me that doesn't make any sense, and the reason they give is that NXT isn't in the top one or two shows on the WWE Network each week, as if that's the point. If 250k people in that demo watch it on DVR and/or the WWE Network on Thursday, sure it's got no effect on the advertising or whatever, but it'd have a younger audience than AEW. They just don't watch it live because they're supporting the other guys for now. |

Based on a check from Meltzer about a month ago, it went RAW is the youngest at 51, then Smackdown at 54, and finally NXT at 56. For comparisons, AEW was at 48 years old. |
Lol, I went 45 as a jab.
|
Ratings mean nothing. It is all an estimate based on an incredibly small sample size. They also have no way to tell who actually watches what per household anyways.
A 10 year old kid watching at his grandparents house is counted as a 70 year old person watching. The data is bullshit. |
Quote:
To be generous about ratings, they're basically like polling, with the data being about 54% in favor of AEW right now, with 46% preferring NXT. It's nuts that people try to literally analyze that audience or make staunch generalizations about them. I've seriously seen people say that NXT is for boomers and AEW is for young fans. |

Don't remember how that exactly works but think you have to input stuff every time you watch a show for it to register. When I was a Nielsen participant for a month a few years ago, I went with the diary format since it was the easiest and laziest option instead. |
Do we have to discuss ratings in every 2nd thread?
Anyways, I don’t like the “Big Mommy Cool” moniker. Too “on the nose” for me. |

Glad WWE didn't make Thatcher fix his teeth...

lolllllllll one of the NXT wrestlers in the crowd already spoiled next week's main event

I feel bad for Dijak. Every Lee/Dijak match usually makes both dudes look crazy good. Dijak got "called up" and then sent back just to let Keith squash him for once.
|
Holy shit I’m all for two face rivals showing mutual respect for one another but I thought these two were going to start making out.
Fuck’s sake. Io vs Nox was painful to watch at times. Didnt seem like they were on the same page at all. On a positive note, Thatcher and Priest were awesome. And El Legado del Fantasma continues to gain my interest. |
