:| at Drew Gulak looking like a huge dweeb after easily losing to Corbin following that distraction spot by Riddle to help him.
|
Shame to hear about Styles and Metalik. The guy is supposed to be really good, and could be a pretty valuable addition to the company in the right spot. It’s probably the first time him and Styles have worked together. They’d probably benefit with a few more showings.

 at them replaying Kofi's "put your meat on my meat" part of his backstage segment with Big E last week.
|
That was an amazing Stretch Muffler spot Big E did to the Miz.
Match itself was also very good which feels somewhat weird for a Miz match. Been a long time since that's happened for him. |
Naomi somewhat busted out the ugliest and botchiest Canadian Destroyer ever.
Even if that was meant to be a sunset flip powerbomb instead, strong contender for worst looking one ever. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/NaomiWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@NaomiWWE</a> wilding out here!!! <a href="https://t.co/RHfgvuW4JP">pic.twitter.com/RHfgvuW4JP</a></p>— Austin (@rondarouseyszn) <a href="https://twitter.com/rondarouseyszn/status/1289372177398030337?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 1, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Sonya should probably visit Dr. Shelby to sort out her anger issues.
Either that or she just snapped and became a badass submission machine. |
so i guess mandy wanted to change her hair style, good thing she was not shaved, i would think russo was writing.

 at these Micheal Cole voice overs during the SD Women's title match. Sounded soo bad and out of place compared to how the rest of commentary has been tonight.
|
 at them teasing again of a breakup between Nikki and Alexa. Women's Tag division would be down to like 2 teams if that happened since Kabuki Warriors just split.
Also that ending with Bray and Alexa was both weird and terrible even by cheesy/shitty horror standards. This week's episode was somewhat good overall although only stuff I'd bother recommending was the Big E vs. Miz match, Crazy Sonya segment with Mandy, and maybe Bayley vs. Nikki plus post-match stuff. |
The Women's Tag Titles don't matter. They were a bad idea from the start. They now serve as a functional reason to get whichever women they want on different shows. You only need a few over teams for a division anyway. It's an internet myth that more = better.
Big E should probably get a big push. He's got the look, the talent, tenure in the company and The New Day feels played out. Don't turn him heel or anything. Just let him go through the ranks and keep climbing and see if he gains traction. |

Also, what the fuck is wrong with me? |
Are they going to put Braun and Alexa together? I don't know whether I'd watch that porno or not.

Assuming WWE really does go forward with breaking up Alexa and Nikki, that would leave the Women's Tag division with just Sasha Banks & Bayley and The IIconics. Both heel teams and one is pretty much a huge non-factor in terms of interest. Even including NXT for some depth adds like just 1 team with Dakota Kai & Rachel Gonzalez. Also another notable heel tag team. That's how dire WWE's Women's tag division has become in terms of depth and quality. |

Was it a bad idea from the start? I was saying so back then. But it depends on your perspective. It's the same with the NXT NA Title. They've kept those belts around for over a year just floating about. They'll make up a random babyface team when they want a random babyface team to take them. That's the way it's been from the start and the way it'll go into the future. |
Like maybe very early on since that's been the only real time the division had any real direction or purpose and when they bothered to put together some teams for it.
For as strong as NXT's women's division has been for the past 1-2 years, NXT completely dropped the ball on developing any teams for the main roster and division. No clue on the exact reason but can say for sure they didn't even bother to try at all based on watching NXT. Even when NXT would go through its phases of neglecting their tag division, they at least had the Dusty Classic around for some short term focus. |
But is the end game with all that? Who cares if NXT puts Dakota Kai & Tegan Nox together as a team and they end up as fluffy babyfaces on SmackDown? It's all just the same shit shuffled around. They can put teams together when they want teams together.
I can see the argument for never having done it. I can see the functionality in it being a set of belts to just put on people and cycle shit around. But I just can't justify the dramatic stakes that people project into this division when it's never been there and arguably was never intended to be. It's like getting upset because the 24/7 Title hasn't found a stable home or had an intense feud over it. No shit. The Women's Tag Titles are there, at best, to give two women a way to jump between the shows (not that the roster split is sacrosanct or anything). At worst they are two shiny things for two girls to have. |
