Cody is the new Mizz

First it was just wrestling shows and now its spread to game shows. WWE's already dabbed into comedy and animated shows so that's probably next on AEW's hit list. |

Good ep. Really enjoyed watching Brodie and Dustin slug the shit out of each other.
|
I like how they basically broke Kayfabe on Cody's injury with the Game Show announcement
|
I agree with xrod. I understand Miro's frustration, but he should save that shit for the podcast and use his time on the mic for things we haven't already heard a million times.
Thank you xrod, for bringing up a valid criticism as opposed to something weird like what color pants he was wearing. |

I really liked this epsiode of Dynamite. Tony built a story hoping forward for so many characters! What a great builder show. And I am pumped for the direction that they laid out for most everyone.
The main event was fantastic, one of Brodies best and Dustin 's 2nd best match in AEW. Brodie is turning into a good match guy. Mix/Archer will be awesome. Jericho/Hager is very good and I like the idea of tag gold for Jericho. Plus it finally a good use of Hager. I love Eddie Kingston, Lucha Bros (plz break up I want to see them do amazing singles) and Butcher and Blade. MJF/Wardlow will be great. MJF has been booked brilliantly. Wardlow will be so over when he turns on MJF. Best Friends vs Inner Circle parking lot brawl will be great next week and also looking forward to FTR VS Boy and His Dinosaur. And then THE BEST MAN Miro! What a great moment, why with Kip? Don't know, don't care. He was awesome doing his Bolo Yeung gimmick. Give me more! |

You wait 10 years to take your shot like Miro did. I don't blame him. I did roll my eyes I won't lie but also ... He had to.
Now I would have preferred that Miro debut as the prototype wrecking machine instead of an offshoot of his WWE gimmick but I will give it it's time. Everyone that has come fr WWE has been doing great things in AEW. Still waiting on Cardona but I think it will come. Actually I could see Cody and Cardona going up against Jericho and Hager. Maybe they can get Cody his ability to challenge for the AEW world Championship ability back. |
Cardona still hasn't signed on full-time, I believe he's only on a five match deal and so far he's worked two of them. I imagine he has been or will be offered a full-time deal but I wonder if he actually wants to stay freelance for a period of time.
Could see him making a lot of money on indy bookings once they're back in full swing and they're allowed to do signings, etc. Of course he can still do that while with AEW as other than a few PPV Saturdays a year their weekends are free to take bookings. |
I feel like we're on the road to Mox/Omega II at Full Gear in November. Last time it was a lights out unsanctioned match which was right into Moxleys wheel house. I could see Kenny winning the belt.
I dont really see anything else they can do if they're going Mox/Archer in a few weeks for the Anniversary show. |
Wish that Miro debut was better. Didn’t like it.

Yeah I think the Hangman Omega feud comes first for Kenny. Then once he's fully heel they can pushto Moxley and prob put the belt on him.

Hell, he could have beat the shit out of Brian Pillman Jr. |
Agree. Excited to see what be can do, but that promo was whatever.

Re: Miro
I have a feeling they told him to go out there and "unleash the real Miro." And that's what he wanted to say, just like all the marks who only ever worked in WWE. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan. But of all things to say when you're this guy with unlimited potential. you do the brass ring and glass ceiling promo that's been done 70000000 times. Yikes. |
Yeah I love Miro and I don't doubt he wanted to say that but my immediate thought was that it's just going to give more ammo to the "AEW is just TNA 2.0" crowd.

Yeah they could have booked him as a beast - or dare I say a Brute? - but I think the thing with Miro is that he can be so much more than the foreign heel who beats people up. |

Eh, I think in this case he was under utilized in WWE. They had the chance when he went up against Cena at WM and had the badass tank entrance. Dude was white hot at the time..... but no. He didn't "leave just to go somewhere else". He wasn't even being used. can't blame the dude. |
Losing to Cena wasn't a problem. It was everything that followed. He went from being a wrecking ball, including against Cena, to a joke within months after his first loss.
Anyways, interested to see where he goes from here. |
That was unquestionably the catalyst that started it.....
Your statement even alludes to that. C'mon dude. |
He could've lost to Cena at Mania and have been fine. He should've been getting lined up for a main event push at that point. He has already beaten Cenathe month before. A loss to him wasn't gonna kill him or hurt his aura. Yes it was the catalyst, but only because of how they booked him after Mania.
He was a legit/serious threat going into that night, and even tho he lost, he was still in a good spot. Everything that followed killed him. |
There's no "losing to Cena" and still coming out for a push after and it being anything successful in any capacity. He was booked shitty after Mania because of the loss, directly. That was the end of his push, period.
|
My argument is it didn't have to be.
|
I don’t even mind the brass ring/bashing wwe stuff. It’s that he was so goofy. Plus he stunk on the mic in general. Plus he was wearing pajama pants. It was all just underwhelming. I get letting these guys show their personalities but maybe some need to be managed a bit.
