It’s WWE’s job to draw the reactions and emotions out of people they want. If they can, they’ve succeeded. If they can’t, they’ve failed. It’s insane that this needs to be said. Any unwanted reactions from an ENTIRE fan base comes from how they’ve been conditioned to respond over time. WWE has made themselves, as a company, heels and everything they do feeds into that. They’ve chased away casuals who might react like you want and left a group who is just here to “play along” with this dynamic they’ve made. |
Good heels never get booed nowadays.
|
I’d say I’ve seen Reigns getting booed on clips I’ve watched but as much as WWE fucks with the audio, who knows.
MJF seems to get a good amount of heat from what I’ve seen though. |
Heel Reigns is the face Reigns fans wanted for years. Corbin is going to end up a super-face at this rate too.

MJF is a better heel, IMO. Reigns does his "I'm a badass, acknowledge me." and its alright I guess. Though his matches early on with the Uso crap where they would spend 15 minutes talking was stupid as fuck. MJF is a fucking prick, and a believable one at that. |
I honestly have to disagree. I love mjf, but no one acts that over top in real life, no matter how much of a dickhead they are. Reigns is the more realistic personality imo.
That said I could totally understand liking mjf more, as realistic doesn't necessarily mean more entertaining. |
Fig is right, MJF is a dimestore by the book heel. Nothing he does is revolutionary, or even original. That is not to say he is not good at it, because he is, but lets not go overboard. He is nowhere near Roman's level.
|
Nothing Roman is doing is revolutionary or original either. If you think that’s a knock against someone then you’ve gotta take points away from both guys.
|
Feels like Roman Reigns does the same "acknowledge me" schtick every single week... seems like it was cool at first but seems boring and repetitive now that it's been going on for like a year... What is he doing that is so creative or revolutionary...

Does that man know how big Batista's dick is?
|
MJF more of a "Miz"-type heel, but that is actually "pushed consistently".... from what I have seen.... maybe he has "surpassed" The Miz now, but definitely got "Miz at his peak" kind of vibes from MJF....
|
MJF is a better version of The Miz at this point. It's like he did nothing but study what The Miz did and said to himself "now I'm going to do all of that better" and followed through.
|
MJF is leagues above The Miz in the ring. Character wise MJF is in a different business altogether.
Yes I know The Miz had a good promo once on Talking Smack. That's it. He's always been a play actor wrestler. He's had times where he was close to being a real wrestler but pretty much he is crap. |

Reigns also needs Paul Heyman to make the act work.
MJF gets points for being one man. He’s his own Paul Heyman. |
As is Miro. And there’s nothing wrong with needing or having a manager, especially if that manager perfectly plays off the talent and enhances their character, which is what Callis does for Omega and for now, Heyman does with Reigns and what Heyman did work Lesnar.

I can definitely dig heel Reigns, but at this point it is a bore. AAA's quote below nails it for me perfectly. Quote:
He has had tons more originality to his promos than Reigns has. Reigns said some shit the first few weeks, now he repeats those same few lines but inserts a different name. Not taking away from him, it is what "creative has for him". It is just tiring now. Quote:
Exactly this right here. Something should have evolved a bit by now, a little bit anyway. Quote:
Two different archetypes. Both are doing great with what they have. Really enjoy Miro's "Redeemer" promos. Why not both? I can see people popping more when MJF gets his ass beat, or booing the fuck outta him and probably throwing whatever can be thrown, when he becomes AEW champ. He's had a slow burn rising, but has always remained hot. When he finally does ascend, it is going to piss people off in a very major way. Quote:
Right? Even Heyman was beginning to become tiresome with Lesnar toward the end. I get that sing along with the champ gives everyone the warm fuzzies, but it also urges me to change the channel. |

It's amusing how much of a drama queen she is, she can't accept the fact she got booed and takes it personally. Then again this is the same person who Joe Rogan was never done "bigging up" in a ufc division with no real competition, when she actually got competition she got her ass handed to her, vanished and was supposedly contemplating suicide. :wtf: Not sure if she has the mindset to be involved in wrestling if she's still taking all this personally. Cena was getting hostile reactions for the better part of a decade and took it all in his stride, she was just getting booed not even remotely on the level of Cena for a couple of months and it drove her up the wall. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2s-gpVGocQw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
It's still real to her, damnit!

Wrestling fans are definitely the worst. Their reactions to things, which often aren’t genuine, do often make the product impenetrable. I’ve said this before, but I know several people who refuse to go to wrestling shows or, especially, take their families to wrestling shows, because the fans are obnoxious twats that ruin the enjoyment for everyone else.
They think they’re so clever, but they’re not smart enough to see how they could enhance shows rather than hinder them. Easiest people in the world to work too. They still get worked even when you tell them you’re working and they’re absolutely hostile to the idea of being worked. It’s incredible. |
