I only watched over half of the show but I hated it. Dumbass main event, like Tony wants to dip in viewers. Nobody on a large scale cares about these women.

Yeah this was a pretty weak Dynamite aside from Wardlow and Fenix/Dante. Actually I'll throw the 6-man tag in here as well, not everyone likes the BCC but I enjoy seeing them wreck shit for the time being, and will hold out hope Mox and Dragon go to the G1.

Not an unwatchable Dynamite, AEW never gets to unwatchable levels but it just felt like a weird "punt" of an episode, like they're waiting another week to really kick the PPV build into gear. Weird decisions after a hot show.

I'm pretty optimistic about the next couple of weeks though with the main Owen tourney starting. Cole/Dax feels like it'll be real good even though Cole is sadly probably winning. Darby/Jeff intrigues me, watching Jeff wrestle is like watching a car wreck but that kinda works for a Darby match.

Hope the Joker is Claudio or Chris Hero.

Sarena Deeb is, in my opinion, the best female wrestler in the world right now.

Maybe not the flashiest, but if you look at how she works, no one is in her league, besides maybe Meiko of NXT UK.

I like Thunder Rosa but man she was awful in that segment. Put the belt on Deeb.

I like that they’re always a lot going on. But Tony need to start building to the bigger stories throughout the show. Wardlow should’ve main evented. The BCC should end the first hour. They have multiple big acts. But they’re used up in the first hour and change instead of spread out.

I’m in love with Deonna but it was obvs she was dropping the last of her belts. Idk what her contract status in Impact is, but she’s done everything there is to do there. If her deal is up soon and they’re not going to put the belt on Deeb, then signing Deonna and bringing her Virtuosa gimmick over to be built up as the next heel champ is something they should do.

They should sign her anyways, tbh.

Also, that main event is proof that even with as loyal and respectful an audience like AEW typically has, having somebody who’s not been booked to be cared about like Martinez is going to kill your crowd. It shouldn’t have been three main event. It was a disservice to the workers and the fans.

And yet again, my biggest gripe is that the world champ isn’t the focus of the show. It should be built around him. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna go with Punk as the next champ abs if that’s the case, hopefully he had the ear of khan and leads him to restructuring the template of the skies and making the champ the main attraction.

What an amazing show this week.

Props to Tony “Shao” Khan delivering a dream match on free television. The man has BALLS. Dante Martin and Fenix tore it up. This would be like WCW giving you Rey Mysterio vs. Dante Martin on Nitro. And WWE giving you…well, they couldn’t give you anything like this. :lol:

It wasn’t the only dream match though! Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Fish is a dream match between two halves of legendary tag teams. And the booking brilliance of having Jeff Hardy going over — the younger brother to Matt like Owen was to Bret — is just sublime. Jeff might win this entire tournament!

The BCC are the best faction since The Shield, easily. What a legendary thing for Moxley to be involved in two amazing factions. He could be the first-ever three-time Hall of Famer. The booking brilliance of not only putting BBC over, but having them elevate everyone they wrestle is why this promotion is leagues ahead of everyone else in terms of buzz and popularity.

Jungle Boy challenges Ricky Starks and sets up TWO title matches?! How can you be bored by this?

Chris Jericho elevated Santana by having a match with him. Lololol at Santana getting distracted by a ring apron spot. See, it’s funny because Chris Jericho is mocking the WWE and the way they do things. A sports entertainment finish for the sports entertainment superstar. This would suck in WWE though. How brilliant is it that Chris Jericho keeps evolving his character?

Wardlow vs. William Morrissey is how you use an ex-WWE/Impact Wrestling star effectively. Put your homegrown guy over. Absolutely no one is sick of seeing Wardlow beat up security, or get beaten up by security, every week. And this isn’t beginning to feel like Cody/MJF at all. But to bring up that feud, what a brilliant callback by having MJF tease Wardlow with the match like he did Cody…who Wardlow made his AEW debut loss against! Brilliant.

The Women’s Division is heating up. 8 talented women all in featured main event spots this week. Soon they will be doing it better than everyone. Toni Storm and Ruby Soho are being used better than they ever were in WWE.

looks like morrissey may go back to wwe, he only has a handshake deal with impact week by thing. unless tony signed him for aew i see an wwe reunion.

I haven’t seen his work lately, but the dude’s physical transformation is impressive. Good for him taking some rope back. If he’s got it together, I hope he finds employment wherever he wants.

He is/was very good friends with Moxley. They used to party together in FCW days. I can imagine them being good sober buddies now. For whatever that is worth throwing into discussion.

Too many garbage titles now. The sooner they ship off half of these people and belts to a ROH show that can be avoided the better.

There’s so many good people in AEW but the content is getting gradually worse. What big singles matches is there going to be at the ppv? Punk v Page and MJF v Wardlow will seemingly be it. Everyone else is in a stable or not around right now.

Not sure why a match featuring a braud that’s had like two matches and a braud nobody has heard of before should main event an episode of dynamite.

I should have seen what a mistake purchasing ROH would be. It doesn’t make sense to have these two separate leagues, nor does it make sense for ROH to become a part of AEW. There are way too many championships. In the lore of AEW you have the AEW Title, AEW Tag Titles, Women’s, TNT Title, TBS, FTW, ROH, ROH Tag, TV, Women’s, AAA Tag with the AAA Title, NWA Women’s and Impact Title being featured at some point over the past year. This doesn’t factor in things like The Owen and the Dynamite Diamond.

When it comes to PPV, it may not be fashionable to say, but more would actually help them. Not only in terms of their overall bottom-line (even if individual PPVs take a hit), but in terms of giving their television a direction and helping PPV stand out more.

They could have been building up to Adam Page finally winning the World Title from Bryan Danielson. Instead we’ve got a bunch of thrown together crap because he had to stick to the plan, even though he had nowhere to go after it.

I also agree with the main event. Should have been in the middle of the first hour.

Scorpio will likely defend his TNT title but idk against who I have no idea. Plus they’ll have the Owen tournament likely decided at the ppv.

Just realized this is three of the last four PPVs where MJF is making his PPV opponent meet his terms and conditions to have a match in the first place. But it's been done in a different way each time, and MJF is so detestable that you can believe the babyface actually wants to jump through these hoops just to beat the fuck out of him.

That is a very cute way of justifying repetitive booking and a reliance on tropes.

Lol, I just heard about The House of Bullshit segment. I’m so glad Buddy Matthews could get away from being misused in the oppressive regime of WWE and the silly drama with Seth Rollins and Aliyah Mysterio so he could go to AEW and do serious drama with Aleister Black and Julia Hart.
