Over. 3.5 mins on the dot after they take it to the outside just 2 minutes in and someone gets tossed into a post.

And it would seem, 10 minutes since my last post, TPWW has YUTA NUFF

Thread Dead

why is jericho wearing breathing strips on his nose during the match

Frank Drebin 08-03-2022 09:57 PM

Random "Oh yeah Madison Rayne will debut" announcement.

Lionhart!

Relieved OC lost clean even though it was just to prop up Jay Lethal before he gets slammed by Wardlow.

Not a bad show tonight. Not great but def a step up from most shows since DON. I know they're probably waiting on potential returns from Punk, Omega and Cole but I really want to see the All Out card shaping up much more over the next week or two.

Think he legit broke his nose against Kingston

Still want to vomit thinking about a trios tag team title and another bloody tournament of probably 4 teams to determine the first champion. Ugh @ them having no idea what to do with post-title Hangman other than throw him into this. At least it isn't with Dark Order.

Acclaimed are fucking great. I still think Bowens has star potential. Caster obvs a pro on the mic and an under rated worker, imo

Fun show. Really hope they give Mox and Jericho at least 20-30 minutes next week. Why wouldn’t you?

BigCrippyZ 08-03-2022 10:14 PM

Acclaimed and Gunn Club are also great/fun. Feel like both of them got to showcase their talents and get over in this feud. Really want to see what happens next. Darby and King is underrated so far, looking forward to it.

Weird show, didn’t feel amazing but it kinda felt like we’re back to having a direction. As much as Adam Cole isn’t a guy I enjoy the whole storyline around him, the Buck, Hangman etc feels like a return to direction.

I don’t enjoy Ethan Page.

Yuta vs Jericho was nice, hoped to see a lion tamer and wasn’t disappointed.

Love the Acclaimed, very interested to see a Bowens solo run one day. On paper he feels like the partner that might get left behind but i have a hunch both might go on to do big stuff.

Oh also… are we going to get Wardlow power bombing Satnam singh???

Gosh I hope so!

Watched this morning.

-OC/Lethal was a solid opener. Crowd is perpetually hot for OC in every town they visit. Lethal going over was the right call to set themselves up for Wardlow's next defense though. And speaking of which, that pop Wardlow got...damn. Dude looks the part of a star, hopefully he can have a nice long TNT title run and re-establish that belt a bit after it was hot potatoed a bunch.

-Didn't see Cole turning on the Bucks straight away. They went out of their way to mention that Cole and KOR aren't medically cleared, which would seem to mean they won't be doing Hung Bucks vs. UE at the PPV but I guess as soon as they're cleared. There's also the matter of Kenny's return as Khan very bluntly stated multiple times that he was waiting on Kenny's return before bringing Trios belts in. A wrinkle could be if KOR gets cleared and they actually throw Kenny with reDragon.

-Thunderstorm vs. Baker and Hayter was probably the best women's match they've had on Dynamite in months. They were given real time and were all working their asses off in that one. Speaking of asses, I'm super glad Hayter got the win. Hopefully can lead to a Britt split-off and a push soon enough.

-Team Taz getting split up after 2 years, oh well, guess it makes sense now with Starks and Hobbs feuding and Hook doing his own thing with Danhausen.

-On the entire AEW roster I'm not sure there's a match I'd want to see less than Christian Cage vs. Matt Hardy. I mean it was fine for what it was but kinda tough to not focus on the fact that I'm watching a match that would have moderately interested me in like 2009, I don't need to see it in 2022. I was just waiting for the post-match. Bring on the Jungle Boy/Christian match.

-Dan Lambert no longer with Ethan Page either, seems they're killing off some of these long-running stables. Not a bad thing to shake things up in a while, I liked Lambert but Page was lost in the background there. Page is a good talker and doesn't need a manager who will cut his promos for him, Stoke seems more like he'd be a background guy.

-Dumpster Match was just dumb fun. Really love The Acclaimed, those guys have bright futures. And honestly the Gunns have started to win me over too after not being able to care about them for a while, those guys are such shitbirds, I like seeing them get humiliated.

-Jericho/Yuta was the best Jericho match I've seen since probably the first Jericho/Kingston at Revolution. Yuta is really good, a great plucky underdog vibe about him that's easy to root for. Sorta like with his match with Mox a few months ago he manages to get you just right to the point of suspended your disbelief even if deep down you know he ain't winning. Liontamer made me pop.

-Glad Jericho/Mox is gonna be on TV instead of the PPV BUT I fear there could be a fuck finish that sets up a PPV rematch. Otherwise I truly have no clue where they're going with the PPV as all indications are Punk's foot is still pretty fucked and I don't know he'll be back.

I’d like to see Ethan Page get a huge push and eventually get built up to take on Wardlow. Think that would be a great program for the both of them.

Interesting that they’ve gone with Page joining The Bucks for a trios feud. This is another mark towards my “Kenny Omega is never going to return to AEW” theory. TK has been pretty public in saying that he wanted to do a trios tournament with Omega. Page joining The Bucks basically takes Omega’s place. Tentatively speaking, of course.

Look — Omega is a big sooky baby. He had the match with Danielson, but his ideas of what pro-wrestling should be clash with what guys like Punk and Bryan are bringing to the table, and you would think that they would have influence. Omega is older, slower, banged up and insecure with fading power. Then you’ve got to figure in the video game nightmare. I’ve said from the beginning that this could be a Shawn Michaels play. His AEW deal is up in January. If he has not signed with AEW, he could be talking to WWE right now.

I think there could be a very strong chance of AJ Styles vs. Kenny Omega at WrestleMania next year.
