eh, just take AEW like I do. It's 2022 and it's something that's watchable live on Wednesday nights. The PPVs usually deliver.
It is pretty funny to venture over to teh rasslin forum to see peeps discuss the product all week. |
I really miss Spring/Summer of 2021 AEW, they really seemed to get it, then just fell way off.
AEW has never been horrible and never will be horrible. You guys just don’t get it. Pay more attention.
Just started watching Dynamite on PVR and damn, Excalibur needs to slow down his commentary. Speed Commentary is fucking annoying. I haven't been this annoyed since Don West.
Mox kinda buried MJF for having 1 match in 6 months and earning a AEW World Championship title shot in the lamest way possible...
And it kind of really killed the vibe I thought, buried the match and potentially the PPV. I think a better build would have been for MJF to fucking RESPOND and leave Mox covered in blood to build back his credibility. Or maybe Mox does the opposite and actually builds MJF as a credible challenger leading into the PPV. |
This might be the worst show heading into a PPV that AEW has ever done.
Saw some reports that Bowens may have gotten injured on Dynamite. Horrible timing if so.

Imagine the spazzing that'll occur if MJF doesn't win the title. Kinda hope it happens just to see the reactions.
Still think Regal is going to be involved in how this all ends
They’ve got so many awesome directions they can go. MJF can win the title clean as a babyface. He could cheat and prove he was the devil all along! Egad! Or Mox can win because it’s not MJF’s time and MJF can wrestle with not being good enough. Or Mox can cheat and you can get the best double-turn since Bret and Austin.
Tony Khan is a genius, and if you don’t care about all these possibilities, I’d suggest you’re not a fan of real pro-wrestling. How else can you have a story that can go so many different directions while being so airtight? |

I don't find AEW unwatchable but it's undeniably a far cry from where it was through much of its history, particularly the high of getting back on the road in summer 2021. The booking's been gradually getting worse all year and while they have a deep enough roster where it's nearly impossible for them to not at least put out some fun matches, it's clear they can be doing so much more than they are. Khan needs to accept help. |

Glad I didn't go yesterday but this is probably the last time they'll be in Bridgeport possibly ever. |
Any word yet if they are going to have a media scrum after Full Gear, because come on lol
lol if they do and have another shoot interview but it actually be a work this time
The cancer is gone so now you can have talent go out and tell the truth about each other without consequence.

NO! There is no drama in AEW now that lazy, injury-prone, WWE-loving maggot is gone. Don’t invite it in. Good vibes and long-term storytelling only. :y:
I’m sure that ratings are going to stabilize now that The Elite are no longer banished from the company.
I’m glad Dave and Bryan know what’s up. The crowd this week really hurt the show. They treated the main event like it wasn’t a hot story. They chose to sat on their hands and not be sports entertained. Why buy a ticket and go to a show if you’re not going to play your part and get up for the wrestlers when they go out there and do their very best to entertain you.
Ratings do seem to be going down post-Punk and the product is suffering. Some astute sarcastic observations by Noid here. He’s certainly the brains of the relationship but this outward Phil love is surely causing shambles, tatters, prickly taints, and drooling anuses.
while my anus gently weeps
He should probably get that anus looked at if it's drooling
The prickly taint and the boiling tatters are arguably more serious conditions.
Heaven forbid the prickles spread to his tatters or the boiling spread to his taint. |
Might’ve been the worst Mox promo I’ve ever seen.
The show was ok. The ppv will surely deliver in ring and I absolutely expect either the firm or Regal, or both, to somehow aid MJF Sunday. The only thing is Ethan Paige clearly winning the world title tourney, so idk how that plays out. Unless they decide to turn him face, which, tbh, isn’t an awful idea. MJF fills the loud, brash, annoying heel role. Ethan can be the babyface version. Idk how you get there with him falling out from the firm but he sure as shit doesn’t need them. Very interested to see how Saraya does. |
I don't think anything can describe the malaise better than the fact that Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli were teaming together and yet I didn't care, because they're facing the same guys they've been facing since May.
Nearly every match Danielson has had since his latest return has been against the JAS. This feud should've ended months ago. What is the point of Blood & Guts if it's not a feud-ender? |

1. She gets crippled in ring. 2. She goes over, but starts getting the Big Swole/Thunder Rosa treatment. I mean, the rumors are already starting. |

It’ll be interesting to see how the politics play out in the women’s division. It seems like Rosa is officially toast. Bullies will find another target though. Is Saraya too big a fish though? |
Watch her cripple Brit, that would be ironic.
They hurt each other but the medics run past the crippled Saraya to help Britt Baker limp to the back and get her broken nose checked. Saraya won’t be going anywhere, she can wait.
She'll be helped to the back by a debuting Brad Maddox.

Well I was thinking of it for those reasons.

Totally valid.
