I gotta say, I dunno if Kota’s hurt or has to work his conditioning back or what but he felt like he was moving in slow motion from his entrance right through the whole thing.

Apparently after the show, The Elite said they respect the BCC and they all shook hands.

Historically, Blood and Guts hasn’t been used as an actual feud-ender but I’d be OK if that changed now. BCC have legit gripes with Takeshita and PAC now, a heel Dark Order could come for the Elite, and other possibilities.

Don’t really want BCC as faces again, though.

Cringefest

The ending of Blood and Guts fell a bit flat for me. Some awesome spots, really enjoyable match, just the end felt a bit weird.

The announcers said Mox surrendered to save Yuta, I feel like more camera work on Mox in some way while he surrendered would have added to it a lot. Yuta still feels somewhat like a BCC add on to me at times and Mox saving him on camera would have told a great story.

Loved the Pac table spot... legit holy shit from me watching that. Pacs so good, I hope they put the ROH title on him soon.

My favorite bits from Blood & Guts:

* I love that no one in AEW makes it look like an actual fight. Really bothered me when the old War Games matches featured punches that didn’t look like they missed by 8 inches.

* Kota Ibushi coming out and not trying to save his friends was awesome.

* I thought it was so cool when Kota was kicking everyone in the head. They just had to lean into it like “my turn now.” Then he gets to Claudio, who has his buddy in the Sharpshooter. So instead of kicking him in the head, he kicks him in the chest, sending him back, making the move worse. Hysterical.

* Claudio is a bit of a pussy for not wanting to take that bump into the tacks though. Bitch.

* Love the long-term storytelling here. Great idea to have guys in the match not want to be in the match. Love that PAC wanted to leave and there were magic bolt cutters to get him out.

* Love that the match just ended.

AEW is so awesome. Great that things just make sense there.

Loved how many spots required the guys to check on each other and make sure everyone was in position. That’s advanced stuff.

Oh, and I thought it was a very smart booking decision to have them all shake hands after the match. That’s how you know they’ve all gone to war.

I have to agree with Noid. It was a clusterfuck of epic proportions.
