BCWWF 02-21-2005 07:34 PM

Probably boxing

Rain Man 02-21-2005 07:44 PM

Coles wants out of Washington I saw today on PTI

MoRcHeEbA 02-21-2005 08:57 PM

95 catches in a year wassn't enough for him :(

AlphaBean 02-21-2005 09:01 PM

I suppose that missing the playoffs in the NFC that the fucking Vikings made it, is a pretty big turn-off to someone who wants to win championships.

MoRcHeEbA 02-21-2005 09:06 PM

so you're saying he should sign with the vikings

AlphaBean 02-21-2005 09:15 PM

Hey, don't you agree? :(

Nah I don't know that I want him here. Though him opposite Moss with Burleson in the slot would be nice.

BCWWF 02-21-2005 10:54 PM

I've always been a fan of Coles

AlphaBean 02-21-2005 11:02 PM

He's a burner, but isn't he frail? We have had too many overrated injury-prone fools here lately. Put that next to 150 pound randy moss, we need someone more physical. Like a healthy marcus robinson.

VonErich Lives 02-22-2005 12:10 PM

Seattle resigned Hasselback, and are now putting the tag on Alexander.

Gonzo 02-23-2005 11:41 AM

Bledsoe will be in Dallas next year.

Giants cut 5 players, most notably FS Omar Stoutmire and CB Terry Cousin. Stoutmire played FS for a couple years up until last year when he had a season ending injury. Cousin was a CB until the Giants injury plagued secondary forced him to move to Safety.

Anyways, nothing too bad.

#1-norm-fan 02-24-2005 03:23 AM

BLEDSOOOOOEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I like him. Dunno if he can still get it done or not... he's just a cool guy.

I was getting more and more excited as I watched the press conference today. He was trying to hold back a smile when he first sat down and all. I was the biggest Drew Bledsoe mark in the world when the Pats drafted him. Now hes in Dallas. I'm so happy, yet so nervous,

Wonder how Alexander likes the tag? :(

Also, any update on teddy?

KingofOldSchool 02-25-2005 09:11 PM

Pats released Ty Law
Seahawks released Jerry Rice
Panthers also released Mushin Muhammed

Gonzo 02-25-2005 09:16 PM

I was shocked about the Panthers move. Cap is tough I suppose.

Rice should retire. Law and Muhammed should make nice acquisitions for some other teams.

KingofOldSchool 02-25-2005 09:19 PM

I see Muhammed going to either Atlanta, Minnesota, or Baltimore.

Gonzo 02-25-2005 09:26 PM

I can't see him in Minnesota, but I do see him in Baltimore. Minnesota has the 7th pick from the trade so I think for a WR they will go that route. Baltimore would be a nice fit for Muhammed.

AlphaBean 02-25-2005 10:06 PM

Rice would be a great slot WR for a team that needs a slot WR. He's still got great hands, is in great shape. He may not have the tools, but a slot WR doesn't need them. You just need to know where the marker is. And Rice has that. I see Rice finding a team.

Moose is a Robinson/Burleson type WR. We either need Burress, or Edwards. Unless a faster WR becomes available. Mike Williams, I don't know. He's too slow. We need a deep threat.

Gonzo 02-25-2005 10:50 PM

Muhammed seems like a possession type guy. If the Vikings go to a run oriented offense that can't be all bad.

You have three backs with the potential to be good provided they develop a decent system, so I could see the Vikings try to do that.

AlphaBean 02-26-2005 12:03 AM

But see, when we had Moss, no team would ever put 8 in the box against us, because that would leave them vulnerable to being torched deep. Now, teams won't have to respect the deep ball, because our fastest guy is Kelly Campbell, and well, he's not much of a threat. :( Not to mention in jail.

So we need good production out of our O-line next year, and we need Kleinsasser and Rosenthal to come back 100%.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 02-26-2005 12:10 AM

Who is going to pick up Ty Law??

AlphaBean 02-26-2005 12:24 AM

MN, with whatever cap money they have left after signing Burress, Pat Williams, Kenoy Kennedy and Ben Hamilton. :wavesad:

BCWWF 02-26-2005 02:04 AM

I don't think Minnesota is going to, I thought there would be a chance before hand, but look at my post in the Moss topic and you'll see why.

KingofOldSchool 02-26-2005 11:26 AM

The Bears have agreed to terms with Mushin Muhammed.

Gonzo 02-26-2005 11:44 AM

The Bears need to put the pieces together. I don't know how they went 13-3 back a couple years ago, but obviously they can.

Gonzo 02-26-2005 11:50 AM

Also the Giants and Rams have opened trade talks for Orlando Pace. I would be estatic if we could get Pace.

BCWWF 02-26-2005 01:20 PM

If the Bears just got Muhammad...thay opens up Braylon for us maybe?? If we got him then we could spend our cap $ on defense and get Ty Law!!!

Gonzo 02-26-2005 01:40 PM

I doubt the Vikings get Ty Law.

OssMan 02-26-2005 01:56 PM

The Vikings wont get Braylon Edwards. Redskins will get him, especially with Laverneus Coles wanting to leave Washington.

Gonzo 02-26-2005 01:58 PM

The Jets and Skins will probably trade WR's straight up. I doubt it.

I want the Giants to get Orlando Pace really bad.

BCWWF 02-26-2005 02:21 PM

Ummm...I thought we already went over this, but...

7. Vikings
9. Redskins

But I guess the Skins could just tell the Vikings not to pick him or something?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 02-26-2005 02:27 PM

LOL Or the Vikings could miss their pick again

BCWWF 02-26-2005 02:29 PM

Damnit I remember that, fuckin A. I don't mean to be a dick, but I mean its the second time that somebody has said that the Redskins would get a guy ahead of the Vikings, come on now folks.

MoRcHeEbA 02-26-2005 03:12 PM

lol Ottawa drafted a dead guy once in the CFL draft

BCWWF 02-26-2005 03:18 PM

Missouri elected a dead guy to governor a few years ago

road doggy dogg 02-26-2005 07:16 PM

Dallas is already in talks with Ty Law, looks like a deal's gonna happen soon

road doggy dogg 02-26-2005 07:17 PM

From the sounds of it too, all the hype about that S. Moss / Coles deal has died down, deal isn't looking so certain anymore

Gonzo 02-27-2005 08:17 PM

Yeah saw that bit on ESPN that Coles wants a better contract if he gets traded. Jets don't want that so that deal looks like its not going down.

I hope Law doesn't go to Dallas. :(

Jesus Shuttlesworth 02-28-2005 12:18 AM

Parcells always brings in players he has had before

AlphaBean 02-28-2005 06:54 PM

Lawrence Taylor looks like he could still ball. Phil Simms can compete with Bledsoe and Vinny for the starting QB job. Three generations of Tuna QBs.

OssMan 02-28-2005 07:33 PM

Oh yeah :o forgot about vikings getting a higher draft pick

BCWWF 02-28-2005 09:58 PM

Maybe you should watch FOX and get hooked then

MoRcHeEbA 03-01-2005 05:31 PM

Troy Brown got released today

AlphaBean 03-01-2005 06:27 PM

See ya in Dallas, Troy. Enjoy playing nickel back again :p

OssMan 03-01-2005 06:43 PM

wooooo fuckin Fred Smoot gonna be a free agent

Jerichoholic 03-02-2005 02:19 AM

Cowboys Sign Ferguson.

http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/inde...5743103120.xml

Jerichoholic 03-02-2005 10:57 PM

WHOOOOOO. Free agency has been pretty hot so far.

I'm pretty sad about having to see Dexter Coakley go, and I hope the St. Louis fans enjoy him. He is undersized, and may be starting to slow down a little due to age, but he plays with great heart.

So far I like the two pick ups by the Cowboys. Ferguson is a great Nose tackle to eat up a couple of blockers whether we stay with the 4-3 or make the switch to 3-4.

I don't know too much about Anthony Henry, but from what I have been reading I like him, and hope he can help close up the secondary.

Also Marco Rivera is flying into Dallas, which would make for a hot addition to the Cowboy's weak right side.

Damn, free agency is fun.

Gonzo 03-02-2005 10:58 PM

Derrick Mason to the Ravens.

BCWWF 03-02-2005 10:59 PM

The Vikings don't look to sign any big name guys, but the guys they are predicted to be looking at are all real solid it looks like.

Jerichoholic 03-02-2005 11:00 PM

Also Andruzzi followed Crennel over to the Browns.

I wonder if anyone else from the Pats will join him there eventually.

OssMan 03-02-2005 11:18 PM

Redskins came to terms with samuel for five years i believe and signed casey rabach at center

Signed Pat Williams, thats a nice start

I heard that Tampa has guaranteed Mike Williams that they will take him, anybody else hear this?

Nervous Ferret 03-03-2005 01:40 AM

jets and giants both after plaxico
Pace to the Giants has died down
Theres pritty much no chance of the jets resigning Lamont

They had about 20 million dollars free, plus next year there is something like a 15 million or so increase to the cap.

Apparently Minnesota and NYG are both on Burress' short list, but NYG has two #1 WRs, also, MN has more money, and a better offense, and NYG have been focused on pierce, pace, etc. etc., so the chances of MN getting him are pretty good.

And Lamont is a Raider.

BCWWF 03-03-2005 12:26 PM

Yeah, I read that Antonio Pierce (I think thats his name) is going to the Giants now, he would have really helped us defensively, but this Pat Williams guy should be a step up from Steve Martin.

If the Vikings draft Braylon, then personally I wouldn't even want Plaxico. Burleson and Robinson are too good to be #3 and #4 options.

AlphaBean 03-03-2005 12:32 PM

Get Mike Williams and move him to TE? I mean if we want a big body who can patrol the middle and can't block we'd probably just let Wiggins go.

But yeah I'd rather we got defense. And did you read that the Vikings are absolutely enamored with Mike Williams? So it wouldn't even be Braylon. I want to hear from Tice, fucking prick, he won't come out and talk about anything, and all we hear about the Vikings is the rumors from the sportsmedia.

Jerichoholic 03-03-2005 01:02 PM

Cowboys are holding a second press confernce later today that I think is going to make Ferguson official, and hopefully update on Rivera.

Jones also said that they were done with CBs in free agency, unless it was a CB that could make the transition to FS. So I'm kind of hopefully that if Ty Law can get healthy we will sign him as a free Saftey, which would be a pay cut that I don't know if he would take.

Which would make our secondary
RCB: Henry
LCB: Newman
NCB: Hunter
SS: Willaims
FS: Law

PRITTY HOTT. If it could happpen

Innovator 03-03-2005 01:11 PM

I'll be happier than a pig in shit if the Giants pick up Plaxico

OssMan 03-03-2005 02:22 PM

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeah Pierce is pretty much leaving the Redskins, he says that they are his first choice but it is obviously bullshit. He said that he deserves to be paid more, and if the redskins match his offer (which is like 27.5 million for three years I think and a 6.75 million signing bonus) then he would stay, but its probably not gonna happen.

Gibbs originally had keeping him as one of the top priorities for the offseason, but now he is focusing on other things pretty much, knowing that Pierce is pretty "out of reach."

OssMan 03-03-2005 02:49 PM

GOD RAIDERS ARE GONNA SING LAMONT JORDAN

Wow fjdso like a 27 million dollar deal :( At least its good to see him starting

What are the fucking jets gonna do when they realize curtis martin is old

Jerichoholic 03-04-2005 12:21 AM

WOOO.

Officially got Rivera. Three pro-bowlers on our O-line now.

Gonzo 03-04-2005 07:37 AM

Pierce is officially a NY Giant.

Totally revamped LB Corp from two years ago. Signed Carlos Emmons and Barrett Green a year ago and Antonio Pierce is going to lockdown the MLB this year.

BCWWF 03-04-2005 02:51 PM

You know who the Jets need, and who could actually fit in and do really well...SOD Onterrio Smith. I could see him being good over there, and I don't want him anymore. We'll trade you for him http://tpww.net/forums/images/smilies/rant.gif

OssMan 03-04-2005 05:18 PM

...giants released ike hilliard :'(

Innovator 03-04-2005 05:21 PM

Eh I'm sad to see Hilliard go but I'm not surprised

Innovator 03-04-2005 05:21 PM

NOW GO AFTER PLAXICO!

Innovator 03-04-2005 05:23 PM

The Giants also got Kareem Mackenzie, which is HUUUUUUUUUUGE

Supreme Olajuwon 03-04-2005 05:30 PM

Bengals haven't done much in terms of blockbuster signings but they got Rudi and TJ back into the mix which is great. They're also looking into Bryan Robinson to put on the line which would be sweet

Gonzo 03-04-2005 07:04 PM

I've never heard much of Kareem MacKenzie, time to do some homework.

I read somewhere on ESPN that Plaxico had Minnesota and the NYG on the top of his list.

OssMan 03-04-2005 08:01 PM

i dont know if plaxico should be top priority..giants will probably have toomer and carter starting but tyree and taylor look promising.

ALSO:

JETS SIGNED DERRICK BLAYLOCK

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-04-2005 08:37 PM

Ty Law would never play safety, hes a shutdown corner.

Redskins signed David Patten :(

BCWWF 03-04-2005 10:20 PM

Personally, if we could I would much rather have Braylon then Plaxico. It would be nice if we could wait until after the draft to get him, but who knows.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-05-2005 05:35 PM

Roddy White is going to be the best WR coming out of this draft.......maybe haha

MoRcHeEbA 03-05-2005 05:40 PM

yeah kinda hoping the Vikes take Johnson with the 7th pick and White with the 18th if he's still around.

Rain Man 03-06-2005 12:15 AM

Eagles resigned Buckhalter, and Trotter and let Jermaine Mayberry go to the Saints.. Thank god we resigned Trotter. Buckhalter got injured on the first play of the preseason last season so I really don't know if he will do much

OssMan 03-06-2005 11:33 PM

WOOOOooo Plaxico burress is going to new york tommorow to talk with the giants

STILL DONT THINK THEY NEED HIM THAT BAD THOUGH, i mean they have carter and jamaar taylor who can be a deep threat, plus they have toomer also

Still would be a nice addition though

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-06-2005 11:35 PM

Burress is way better then any of those guys you mentioned.

MoRcHeEbA 03-06-2005 11:38 PM

yeah a visit don't really mean much these days. I think the vikings are actually just kinda playing with him too... seeing if he gets a decent contract then they will probably match it or something since Burress said he would like to play for the Vikings... I would also rather be catching balls from Culpepper then Eli.

MoRcHeEbA 03-06-2005 11:38 PM

I also heard Stima would be rather catching culpeppers balls in his mouth.

OssMan 03-06-2005 11:56 PM

Burress also said that he would rather play on a team with a good running back, tight end, and quarterback which the giants have except for qb.. eli should be "blossoming" though and whatnot so we will see

Nervous Ferret 03-07-2005 12:03 AM

u still have no O-line besides mckenzie

word I forgot about Culpepper,Wiggins/Kleinsasser, Bennet,Moore,Smith...

I see what you're saying that he wants to play with though :p

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-07-2005 12:17 AM

Either way get Burress off the Steelers please

And Cheeba how about you catch my balls in your mouth you stupid slut

MoRcHeEbA 03-07-2005 12:18 AM

sorry I don't do O-line

road doggy dogg 03-07-2005 12:26 AM

YES Cards signed Warner. He's not coming to Detroit now.

lol though, gonna get stuck with Garcia

MoRcHeEbA 03-07-2005 12:43 AM

it would have been better if Warner went to detroit... Harrington probably could keep his job if he was there. Garcia's gonna steal it from Harrington.

nah from what I heard though it's that Garcia already knows there offense and they don't think harrington has it down pat yet.

DaveWadding 03-07-2005 05:36 PM

OH. MY. GOD.

Samari Rolle signed with the Ravens :o

#1-norm-fan 03-07-2005 05:42 PM

lol. That doesn't make any sense. How maybe DBs does Baltimore need???

Innovator 03-07-2005 06:01 PM

Plaxico visited the Giants today, lets hope things went well

BCWWF 03-07-2005 06:27 PM

Star Trib today said the Vikings are no longer interested in Plax :?:

MoRcHeEbA 03-07-2005 06:53 PM

yeah I read that too. Although it seems they plan to trade Bennet for either Darius or Surtain which wouldn't make it so bad if they take Edwards in the first round while upgrading the secondary. I also think the vikes will probably land Burress for some reason.

Innovator 03-07-2005 06:55 PM

the vikes should trade up and get Mike Williams

BCWWF 03-07-2005 07:34 PM

Mike Williams should be there when they pick. If they were going to trade up it should be to get Braylon.

Right now, it should go like this...
1. 49ers - Aaron Rodgers
2. Dolphins - Ronnie Brown
3. Browns - Alex Smith
4. Bears - Braylon Edwards (Most likely trade down and let somebody else have him)
5. Buc's - Cedric Benson
6. Titans - Pac Man
7. Vikings - Derrick Johnson
8. Cardinals - Cadillac
9. Redskins - Mike Williams
10. Lions - Dan Cody

Innovator 03-07-2005 07:49 PM

I forgot the Vikings had #7 overall, yeah he's a lock
