ClockShot 05-06-2007 04:44 PM

There's the giant spider boss in the Temple of Time. Other than that, there's your Skulltulas. That's roughly about it.

Kapoutman 05-06-2007 10:42 PM

I finished it in 48 hours. Everywhere I check, people are bragging about finishing it in 35 hours or so. I'm starting to think that I suck. :(

Linkbowler 05-06-2007 10:53 PM

Took me 47...we're in it together, my ever-so-slightly-slower friend.

Kris P Lettus 05-07-2007 07:35 PM

I've been too busy to play..

Still haven't done shit..

:(

ClockShot 05-07-2007 08:14 PM

60 Hours. But I was looking for everything. Gold bugs, heart pieces, dig holes, etc.

Yeah, I had 14 bugs, a couple of hearts missing, didn't do much of rollgoal, barely fished, etc. I need to finish the sidequests, but Super Paper Mario and F-Zero (!) are getting much playtime right now.

Drakul 05-07-2007 10:44 PM

I was talking about this spider in the pic:

Mr. Monday Morning 05-25-2007 09:23 AM

Started this at the weekend, just beat Death Mountain dungeon yesterday  I actually found the first temple way harder :o That bastard on the giant boar in the main field was fucking ridiculous though

Loving the little musical throwbacks to the previous games, nice touch.

Mr. Monday Morning 05-25-2007 09:34 AM

OH, and the boomerang is sexy

Imagi-Nation 05-26-2007 02:17 PM

i STILL havent beaten this game. I'm up to the Twilight realm, which Im told is right near the very end. But i havent touched it since february due to other crap. Without spoiling it for me, does the game have a good ending?

Linkbowler 05-26-2007 04:27 PM

Yes. The ending leaves sequel opportunities wide-the-fuck open.

Vietnamese Crippler 05-26-2007 06:55 PM

^^ It's pretty much every other LoZ ending :p

Requiem 05-31-2007 01:18 PM

Since I couldn't play this, I decided to plug in my 64 and play OoT again.

I just became Adult Link already. Woo! I have two guides so I am getting everything on my way through. I might have missed a couple things, but I can go back and get them later. I want to get 100% of everything. :D

Savio 12-23-2007 10:28 PM

just got this and got to the water temple.....does the water temple in this suck like the last one?

Kris P Lettus 12-23-2007 11:52 PM

I liked the water temple.. This one room is two layers with doors up and down with a set of stairs that runs from one door upstairs to one door downstairs.. You have to hit a series of switches to get the staircase to spin to beat that whole area.. It's kinda like the three water levels in the water temple in OoT.. So if you hated that one, you'll prolly hate this one, but personally I liked it..

Purgatory 12-24-2007 01:30 PM

This is a pretty sweet game. Currently, I'm stuck in the battle with Gannondorf. I mean, I'm not stuck as in the 'WTMF!! I can't beat the guy' type of stuck..well, not yet anyways...I just haven't devoted a whole lot of time to doing it yet.

And yes, the Water Temple is huge suckage. I got through it after quite a bit of cunfusion/frustration eventually..

Kapoutman 12-24-2007 01:44 PM

I finished the Water Temple rather easily when compared to the time it took me in Ocarina of Time. It was still difficult though, but less frustrating.

Kris P Lettus 12-24-2007 02:18 PM

I dunno why but the Snow Peak dungen was the hardest part of the game to me..

I am also on Ganondorf but am going back through and doing all the shit I skipped.. Poes, bugs, magic armor, etc..

The Mackem 06-09-2008 02:40 AM

Got the Wii for my girlfriend and she wanted an adventure game with a story so I suggested Zelda. After giving her a few pointers at the beginning she seems well into it. Was a bit confused when she was a wolf but nevermind haha. I only ever played Zelda on the NES.

The Genius 06-09-2008 03:10 AM

weird this thread came up again, was gonna pick it up for gamecube this week.

Destor 06-09-2008 03:58 AM

Buy a Wii Genius.

The Genius 06-10-2008 02:21 AM

been considering that too. might be a good complement to the 360.

OssMan 04-15-2009 01:23 AM

I loved this, but I have a few things to complain about.
SPOILER: show

- I hate how you'll get an item that is useful for one dungeon and then not useful again. Like I know that's what Zelda does, but honestly the slingshot is absolutely useless after the forest temple, you rarely need the gale boomerang, and you use the Spinny Thing like one time after arbiter's grounds. Not to mention the attack on the Spinny Thing, I honestly never had a use for it aside for the only boss fight you need it for.

- Hyrule Castle was bullshit. After not being able to extinguish one torch with the gale boomerang throughout the entire game, how the fuck are we supposed to expect to extinguish some random one with it? There are torches RIGHT OUTSIDE the room you have to do it in that can't be extinguished. Why on earth would anybody expect to be able to do that. I was honestly stuck at this part for 2 days and kept going back through the castle trying to climb on chandeliers and shit because of this. The Link to the Past music was awesome though.

- People seem to be having trouble with the last boss fight, I thought it was pretty easy. The back attack secret technique thing was pretty helpful on Ganondorf so try to use that I guess

I think I had more to say but I don't remember.

Destor 04-15-2009 01:45 AM

The boom-a-rang can put out plenty of tourches. Hell I've put out touches I've needed lit to open doors using it to fight baddies.

OssMan 04-15-2009 11:23 AM

Noh it is ridiculous. Like every dungeon we went in we tried to put out torches to open door. Never worked. So I gave up on that.

LuigiD 04-15-2009 05:06 PM

I hate the Dungeons for Zelda. They are ZzzZz
The open space battles and rides are a ton of fun though.
I got stuck with this game all the time. I recently had to run to gamefaqs.com.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-15-2009 05:35 PM

Man I didn't even think about using the boomerang at the end, I just ran around for ages trying to do it manually :o

I found the dungeons in this one pretty straightforward actually. Well, except the Water Temple (SURPRISE)

OssMan 04-15-2009 06:00 PM

I hate using strategy guides, especially for Zelda games. This was really annoying because these 2 other kids kept wanting to look shit up and I was like don't fucking tell me you pieces of shit. Then they told me about the boomerang thing at the end.

OssMan 04-23-2009 01:12 PM

What is the point of the magic armor

Vietnamese Crippler 04-23-2009 03:48 PM

You lose rupees instead of hearts when taking damage.

OssMan 04-23-2009 03:52 PM

Right but it drains at like 10 rupee/second when you're just walking around. So you have no time to wear it. I mean I guess it's helpful if you have it for a bunch of dungeons and you can't open any chests cause they all have purple rupees in them and you have to put them back so you can just drain the rupees but I dunno.

Vietnamese Crippler 04-23-2009 04:08 PM

It's probably most useful against Gannondorf in the end when losing rupees doesn't mean anything. Then again, the final fight is a cake walk.

Dorkchop 04-23-2009 07:26 PM

I stopped playing this right before I got to the water temple. I've been meaning to start it again, but I'm never in the mood. It's a pretty sweet game.

I did the same with Phantom Hourglass. I started it again last week and am actually going to finish it this time.

nah the fight with the 4 darknauts in that bottemless pit thing

OssMan 04-25-2010 05:47 PM

Anyone play Rollgoal

Worst shit

#BROKEN Hasney 04-25-2010 05:49 PM

Never finished this either, I think it's the controls.

Might grab the Cube version and finish that one.

OssMan 04-25-2010 05:51 PM

Dunno, Wii controls were great for this

#BROKEN Hasney 04-25-2010 06:01 PM

I don't think I like using the nunchuck for any length of time. Like I usually finish a Mario game within 2 days of getting it, but Galaxy took me about 7 months.

OssMan 04-25-2010 11:54 PM

Does anyone with the Gamecube version know if Rollgoal is even in the game

OssMan 05-09-2010 05:07 PM

By the way the last heart piece that I spent forever trying to find which the stupid fortune telling bitch wouldn't tell me where it was cause it was "too far in my future" was at the fishing hole, and I guess I had never set foot in there. WTF is that

ClockShot 05-09-2010 06:21 PM

Did you catch the Hylian Loach at the fishing hole?

OssMan 05-09-2010 06:28 PM

NOH, but I got the sinking lure. Keep going back there during the summer and blindly casting into the part with the lily pads. Dunno if that works.

ClockShot 05-09-2010 06:32 PM

That's where it is.

G 05-09-2010 07:28 PM

tried picking back up 3 years after i stopped playing it. yeah that didn't work out too well.

muffalufagus 05-10-2010 02:50 AM

I just beat it about a week ago. Surprisingly I didn't have to use a guide, although it took me a good 2 months of playing to beat it.

Dorkchop 05-13-2011 04:56 PM

It's dropping to 20 Canadian style dollars on Sunday so I'm going to rebuy it and beat it this time.

OssMan 05-13-2011 08:19 PM

Good. F****cking incredible game, love this game

Purgatory 05-13-2011 08:46 PM

I rebought it at a yard Sale last summer for $5, Gamecube version. Is indeed an incredible game.
