Heaven just got a new main-eventer.
|
Not just Chavo will be majorly affected...think about Benoit and Malenko...and Jericho. Although Jericho is technically not with the company anymore, they still had a lot together.
|
Thanks for everything Eddie, R.I.P.
|
But if Eddie was suppose to win the Title from Batista. (Because Batista is injured) I think they'll give it to Benoit now, just as a mark of respect and because Benoit is Eddie's best friend.

I'm shocked too. I don't know what to say. I've never really felt this way for a wrestler's death. He was pretty much the only reason I would watch any of smackdown for the last 2 years. RIP
|
Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't they find Brian Pillman dead in his hotel room in Minneapolis?

A fitting tribute, a low rider with the belt and his name-plaque on it on the drivers seat. |
If I'm right...then this just makes it even worse.
He and Batista were the only two that has made Smackdown for me. For the last few years Eddie has been my favorite performer. I just hope for his family's sake, that this was due to his past...not current self. |
RIP Eddie
The fact that the fans would still cheer you as a heel was a true testament that you were loved by all that you performed for. I truly hope WWE does a tribute show on both shows because i truley doubt that they can fit it everything in one 2 hour show.I really hope that he gets inducted into the hall of fame as well as maybe throw in a few extra excerpts in his upcoming book |

ST. PETER: Ah, Eduardo. I wasn't expecting you for some time. EDDIE: Me either. :'( ST. PETER: Before you can enter the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven, you must answer me this question... Have you lived an honest life, abstaining from sin, dedicated to helping others? EDDIE: Yes. ST. PETER: Very well, then. [He opens the gates, and Eddie walks through. Just as they're closing behind him...] EDDIE: One more thing, ese. ST. PETER: Yes? EDDIE: I do lie. CHERUBIM: [Mark the heck out] |
god, this is just strangely eerie of Pillman. He too was found dead in his hotel room in Minnesota in the morning.
|
Benoit should pin Orton with the Frog Splash to win the belt...
|
This is not fair. Its just not. Eddie was the best WWE wrestler of all time.
RIP Eddie. I wonder how they can do SD tonight after this. |
Why the fuck are you guys talking about who should win the fucking belt now?
Eddie means more than some bloody belt. |

But Eddie has 3 daughters, Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3. Damn, what an age to lose your dad.:( |
If Benoit pulls off the Three Amigos in that match, I will seriously burst into tears like a tiny, hungry baby.

This should be strictly about Eddie's death. If they want to discuss it, make another topic. |
I can tell you one thing:
Fuck Kerwin White. Chavo needs to honour his uncle's memory and tell WWE to shove thst gimmick up their ass. |
I'm in dissbeief. I just logged on and saw the story on the main page, and my heart just sunk like 2 feet. He was one of my favourite superstars ever, thank you for all the memories and fun you've given me. You were quite some talent.
Farewell Eddie. R.I.P :wavesad: |
Wll KOOS...how would you pay tribute to Eddie?
|
So I'm sitting at my computer mauling over the news and my dad came and sat down. I pointed to the screen and his jaw dropped. He said that Eddie was in a good storyline with Batista and was wondering what he died of. He immediately thought it was the steriods. I told him it could have been all the hard drugs he used to do. He pointed out that he is just a character and people die everyday but it is very unfortunate when anybody passes. Especially somebody who's on TV every week. I thought I'd share that.

I really can't believe this. R.I.P. |

Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio That's all you need. |

God damn it....why couldn't Masters be taken instead? That freak has to do like a million roids a day. Why couldn't the Reaper take him!? |

Eddie Guerrero was more than a character, he was someone in which MILLIONS of people found inspiration in, for lots of reasons. For his comeback from drug related problems to reach the TOP of his profession. For the fact, he lost his family, won them back through hard work, pain and suffering. Much of his character I believed in, as it was close to his real life difficulties. The fact that he had self-confidence issues when champion is somethign I very much related to. Yeah, it's sad when anyone dies, but hell, when its someone you respect and care for, it's a lot harder. |

I just got a call from a friend who broke the news to me....
I was honestly speechless. See, I've fallen out of watching wrestling (I haven't watched in over a month), so I haven't been hitting the wrestling message boards, news sites, or WWE.com like I use to. Wrestling just is not exciting to me anymore. But there was one guy out of WWE's entire line up that I could count on for a good match and that was Eddie Guerrero. No B.S. That's the way I've thought of him for many years now. I was so freaking estatic when he won the title and like many others have already said Benoit and Eddie standing in middle of the ring at WM20 is my favorite memory of the last few years of wrestling. Thank you for the memories, Eddie. You will be missed. |
:(
|
I know this doesn't make anything better, but at least Eddie achieved his dreams. He has been centre-stage in the WWE and has made moments that we will remember forever.
R.I.P. Te Queremos. En nuestros corazones para siempre. R.I.P. We love you. Forever in our hearts. |

I feel like I've lost someone close to me. Shows just how much respect Eddie has.

This has to be the biggest shocks in wrestling. He looked fine on Smackdown, that was only five days ago.
|
"As I am sure you will all understand, the reaction to Eddie Guerrero's sudden passing has blindsided everyone I talked to in WWE this morning. The workers I have spoken to about it are just numb and shocked.
The word I have gotten is that the company has decided to make both the Raw and Smackdown shows at tonight's combined taping in Minneapolis tribute shows to Eddie. The usual format for the shows has been changed to instead incorporate tributes to Eddie." www.pwinsider.com |
I feel sooo bad for his family and everyone he was close to back in that lockerroom.
At least him and Art Barr can team again. :'( |
No Ferret...you shut the fuck up. Masters sucks. Eddie doesn't. If I was death and I had to choose between the two...who the fuck do you think I'd choose? Not Eddie that's for sure.
|
"We do know that Eddie was in Minneapolis, MN waiting for the RAW and SmackDown! tapings which are being held tonight. Eddie was just 38 years old. According to sources, Eddie had breakfast this morning with Chavo Guerrero and at least one other wrestler. Chavo and Eddie had traveled together for months when both were on SmackDown!. Eddie then returned to his hotel room and when he didn't come back out when he was scheduled, some friends went looking for him and found him dead. We have no other details and do not want to speculate."

Chavo :(

I don't think either show should try to push it out of the way and by that I mean having a 30 minute HHH promo on how he'll beat flair.
Perhaps have the main event be like KOOS said Chavo vs Rey No Raw vs Smackdown on Raw tomorrow. |

Chavo vs Rey is RAW vs Smackdown, Savior.

 OMG, when I first saw this topic, I thought it was someone making a stupid joke, then I read it. I'm in a complete shock. One of the best wrestlers...:(
R.I.P. Eddie, you will be truely missed. :'( |
:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(
RIP Eddie. :'(:'( |
Terrible tragedy, he was one of my current favourites. I was shocked like the rest of you. Just finished watching Imagining Argentina with Antonio Banderas (great movie) then I come on here and see what happened with Eddie Guerrero.
R.I.P Eddie, will be missed. |
This is horrible.... horrible.
They gotta make SD a tribute show this week...if they don't Im freakin done w/ wrestling... |
They are, Corndad. Along with RAW.
|
What's the bet that they have Benoit win the belt for Eddie?
|
There will be no betting, asshole.

lol whats with all the people thinking this is a joke or an angle? For fuck sake.
I'm feeling really strange now, it's like I've got nothing, I'm just completly empty at the moment. This has taken me completly by suprise, really out of the blue. Fuck. I've been watching Eddie ever since his early days in WCW and whilst growing up watching wrestling, it's been like I've been growing up with him in my life. I feel really odd now, just so completly shocked about all of this. |

Eddie was wrestling on T.V on Tuesday, and he was fine, he was involved in a big storyline, then all of a sudden WWE.COM are saying that he's dead. I actually thought it was a joke at first.:( |
I hope the tribute will last the hole show! Eddie deserves it :'(
I just can't belive he's gone...the WWE won't be the same without our Latino Heat! :( |

Rest in peace, Eddie. Wow... just... wow... My thoughts and prayers are with his family right now.

Fond memories:
I'll remember his days as Cruserweight Champ in WCW. I remember the LWO. I remember the Radicalz. I remember Guerrero and China. I remember Guerrero and The Rock. I remember Los Guerreros. I remember the Eddie/Chavo feud. I remember Eddie winning the title. I remember Eddie being the embodiment of Smackdown much like Cena was before he went to RAW. I remember WM20. I remember the Eddie/Rey feud. I remember marking out for everything he did. I remember being inspired by his story, and I hold firm to the believe that whatever killed him, it was not drug related (at least not from present drug use). :wavesad: |
What the mother of fuck, man!! Why couldn't it have been Cena instead???
|
Shut up, I don't care how upset you are, you never wish someone dead.

great, now Shadow has another fellow sewer rat he can play with

Still trying to get over how much this sucks, and, although it won't bring him back, I only hope that it wasn't his demons that beat him, so that Eddie's story can at least end with that victory. |
I just heard half an hour ago, jumped in my car and got online praying it wasn't true, i just feel so numb right now. Haven't felt like this since Owen, he was a true great, has been involved in some amazing matches and always captured the imaginiation of the fans. I just don't know what else your supposed to do or say in this situation, none of us really knew the guy, but I feel like i've lost a close friend right now.
RIP |

I feel like I just lost one of my best friends...I don't know what to say..

anyone else want to see a Malenko/Benoit v Chavo/Jericho tribute match?

RIP Eddie |
the reason why people thought it was a sick joke is because it's been a long time since a huge active WWE superstar just passes away all of a sudden. Especially someone like Eddie Guerrero.
|
last thing I can remember is Owen

This is absolutely unreal, I watched the WWE Experience this morning and marked out when Eddie got Ken Kennedy disqualified, it was classic Guerrero. He truly was one of the greats, and I'm not just saying that because he's dead. This wrestling death has hit me harder than any other, I will miss him so much.
|
imagine this was a result of Kennedy's chairshot, had he hit him too hard or something.
|
This is really sad. He was one of the greatest wrestlers ever. He seemed like such a great guy too. Boourns to this :(
