It's true, Kennedy doesn't actually know the countdown, someone has to tell him and write it on his hand so he won't confuse himself.

I haven't been this upset since I found out that The Dudleyz aren't really brothers.

Bullshit. I can see the family resemblence.

Xero 05-07-2007 10:47 PM

So, WWE really can't book more than two weeks in advance.

Jeritron 05-07-2007 10:51 PM

Well at least it was Edge

Mr. Kennedy is a damn fine wrestler. As previously mentioned, I'm yet to see anyone provide a reason as to how Mr. Kennedy is not a good wrestler. The One fell asleep, but it didn't have old useless fucks in it, so that's understandable. I hear "He's one a trick pony," a lot, but those people assume he is a bad wrestler, and can't cut a regular, both of which he has proven he can do.

It's all for moot now, anyway, as the WWE have proved that they can't run with an angle while a guy is injured, and they have to be "NOW! NOW! NOW!" which sucks major dick. I guess we're going to see Edge as World Heavyweight Champion tomorrow, which will be good, especially if they have his old friend, Matt Hardy, step up to challenge him. Following Matt should be Chris Benoit sans United States Championship. Holy fuck, I just cared about SmackDown!, again.

When Kennedy returns, I guess he will be face challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship. My prediction for SmackDown!'s WrestleMania main event: Edge vs. Mr. Kennedy for the World Heavyweight Championship. I will watch it, and I will be entertained when Mr. Kennedy wins his first World Title. :y:

Mr. Nerfect 05-07-2007 11:00 PM

KoOS, I really like you as a poster, and have a shitload of respect for you, but I can't understand your seeming utter contempt for the guy. I can get it if you don't like him, and don't want to like him just because everyone else does, but is that really a reason to hate the guy?

SammyG 05-07-2007 11:00 PM

HELL YEAH ALIENOID

He's boring, he's bland.

Besides saying his name twice, he's got nothing.

He's not a bad wrestler, but he's not good either. He's just another face in the crowd. People were sucking his dick since day one because he said his name twice.

I was mainly referring to the lesser Kliq guys. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall (was good, but useless now, as I guess everyone will be at some stage) and Sean Waltman.

Shawn Michaels is good, I'll give you that.

Triple H is a good wrestler, but as I have said twice before if Val Venis ended up banging Steph back in the late nineties, and was more of an asshole and less of a philanthropist, he could be in the exact same spot Triple H is. Hunter is an overrated cunt when it comes down to the ratio of position is to ability.

Ric Flair looks like shit these days. He needs to get out of the ring before he kills himself, or his opponent. He is an icon, I'll give him that much, but if Ric Flair were coming up today, you'd be all "He's overrated! All he does is hit chop blocks to go after the leg for his finishing move which he applies on the wrong leg. What a moron. Kevin Nash 4 Life!"

My guys may not be much, but all you can throw at them is "overrated." London & Kendrick are fun to watch, especially when the WWE doesn't throw them in with crap, and both guys have a full understanding of match construction. If they had a bigger build, and were cocks who blew shit up in the toilets backstage, I'm pretty sure you'd be all over their dicks. Val Venis is the most underrated man in the WWE. It used to be a coin toss between him and Mike Bucci, but now that Bucci has moved on, Venis is left to take the cake. You also have Stevie Richards in the underrated department, but he's just a little below Sean Morley's level, if you ask me.

He also carried himself competently in the ring. I mean, if he said his name twice and sucked, he would have only had a few guys on his dick, with the majority asking for him to stay in the developmentals a bit longer, or for him to become a manager/commentator.

But yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I dunno, I can't tell you how to feel or anything, but the way you seem to respond to him, I think apathy would be the more natural reaction. I guess we've kind of pushed him over the edge with you.

I personally find him one of the better in-ring performers the WWE has called up recently. He's not amazing in the ring, but I'd maybe give him a B+ grading. Occasionally he works his way up into A- territory, with potential to get even better.

I see where you're coming from, but I disagree.

Counter point, this is professional wrestling. Not mat working 101. The men of the Kliq offer character, something exciting to watch, and while not all of them having incredible matches every night, they get people interested in the product. They became bigger than what happens between the bells. You're guys never did. My guys made money, your guys may be SmackDown's fastest workers (and I am warming to Spanky a bit) but they don't even compare to the amount of money WALTMAN made in the nWo and eventually DX.

That's a fair point, and it is one that your guys do have over mine, which I admitted in my original point, but didn't elabore on. I didn't want to do your work for you. That's what I meant when they said "They might not be much."

I think we conflict a lot on views (except for Billy Gunn, I think we both like him), because you're fairly comfortable with the past, yet I am more of a future guy. Who knows? Paul London & Brian Kendrick could make some money in the future, even if it's just jumping from ladders or some shit. I think how they measure up against Waltman in terms of drawing is a "wait and see" thing. Waltman himself probably cannot be attributed to drawing much, as he was pretty much a leech in his DX and nWo roles, as over as he was.

I care more about how much guys entertain me, not on which level they are featured on the show. I guess it's just a difference of opinion. I don't think there is anything wrong with liking any particular wrestler over another, so I'm sorry if it sounded like I was offending your opinion. I think we just look for different things.

AdrianM 05-08-2007 12:19 AM

yeah, well.

I think Kennedy is awesome. His match at the rumble against Batista was really good, MOTY so far IMO.

And I liked that match even tough I don't think he said his name twice

darkpower 05-08-2007 06:48 AM

Uhh...Kennedy has the charisma and, and as I was saying: He could be the next Rock, being majorly over for his mic skills and pure personallity without being the next Bret Hart or Benoit.

He does have that Senton Bomb and the Green Bay Plunge (guessing on the latter's name there). The senton bomb is something that I don't think ANY man his size should be able to do, yet he DOES it.

I do admit that Ken doesn't have the deepest of move repritroire, but hes a LOT more entertaining than some of the current WWE roster is right now.

YES!! TOTALLY!! CORRECT!! THANK YOU!! AMEN!!!

Someone ELSE has that idea on here besides ME!!

(EDIT: DAMN IT!! Need to spread some rep before giving it to you again for that, Alienoid, but just to reemphasize, one can only HOPE this would make him a face after he returns).

KENNEDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Jeritron 05-08-2007 02:57 PM

I loved Kennedy, but damn this is getting annoying. Also, he's probably gonna be brought back as a face. They treated him as one out of nowhere for no reason Monday night.

They didn't treat him like one last night, but they did set it up to where he could possibly come back as one if they decide to.

They didn't really treat him as one. At best, he was a "Tweener" last night.

And the crowd seemed to take to him more because he wasn't Edge. Which is all I really need, too.

Jeritron 05-08-2007 09:56 PM

Well J.R. put him over as a fine, respectable young compettitor, and acted as though an atrocity had been committed to an innocent.
