I want Seattle to take Bayless..he'll be better than Mayo . Westbrook would be a good pick too but probably too high for him.

Assuming they both get suspended at some point during their seasons this year, I could see them being TNA Tag Champs at some point

RP 06-25-2008 10:26 PM

Rick Bucher just said O'neal hasnt played since his knee was repaired...uhhhh yes he has Rick. Oh wait this is ESPN...you're excused.

RP 06-25-2008 11:15 PM

Who the fuck cares if Kevin Love can throw a fucking chest pass 94 fucking feet? That shit is a turnover every time in the NBA. WHO THE FUCK CARES?

KingofOldSchool 06-25-2008 11:28 PM

I wish Kevin Love would drop down to us.

SammyG 06-25-2008 11:38 PM

Kevin Love is going to Memphis.

RP 06-25-2008 11:54 PM

I want this guy

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-26-2008 01:50 AM

I heard Eric Gordan was in SpaceJam, no joke

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-26-2008 01:53 AM

Really want the Celtics to take this guy, I highly doubt they will because they don't really have a need for him but I don't care.

Juan 06-26-2008 03:08 AM

I'm somewhat hoping that the Kings pick Yi Jianlian @ #12.

Also, Donte Green to Golden State.

SammyG 06-26-2008 03:16 AM

Yi Jianlian? what?

Juan 06-26-2008 03:49 AM

I believe I have received some incorrect information...:$

Yi Jianlian is getting drafted again?

SammyG 06-26-2008 08:18 AM

lol wtf Juan. Yi Jianlian is already in the NBA. Stupid Laker fans...

KingofOldSchool 06-26-2008 10:26 AM

The latest mock has the Pacers drafting Koufos and Robin Lopez.

IMO, they should still take Augustin or Westbrook (even though he won't be around by #11) since Ford might get put on the shelf for a few months by a light breeze.

It would be amazingly awesome if we could get both Augustin AND Randolph.

If we draft those 2 stiffs, i'll be so angry.

VonErichLives 06-26-2008 12:57 PM

ok, I'm a little confused here...

Potland gets the 27th pick from NO for "cash considerations"..

So, they just bought a draft pick no players invovled...

So, how long until Mark Cuban offers X-millions for a #1 overall pick from someone?

oh and that Shaq thing was funny, from whats come out is apperently during Kobe's "colorado" issue, he commented that Shaq cheated all the time, and this led to Shaq's divorce.

The "how's my ass taste" was a refrence to some woman who "tossed shaq's salad" and then ended up with Kobe (not sure if that's Kobe's wife or someone else).

If someone else already pointed this out sorry, didn't read back far enough.

IC Champion 06-26-2008 04:32 PM

Pacers took Ford, thank fucking god. He was a little bitch. You know if he doesn't start, he will suck terribly? And even when he does, he's still not great. Ford has range of about 15 feet, maybe. And was a terrible decision maker. He has speed that's all.

Now, I'm still weary of the trade, I mean O'Neil hasn't exactly been playing up to par these last couple seasons. But if he can go back to his old form, or close than I like the trade. Him and Bosh in the post, 2 quick, athletic guys in the post, who can move and run the court. If this improves rebounding, than fuck it, it was worth it. However, I don't like that we moved Nesterovic. He played some very solid ball down the stretch for us last year, and is awesome to have coming off the bench.

What really needs to be done, is Bargnani needs to be moved, while someone still wants him. This kid is going to be a bust. Hopefully with a real starter at center, he doesn't start anymore, and I really hope he doesn't move down to SF. We really need a talented swingman, like a Gerald Wallace, or Richard Jefferson.

KingofOldSchool 06-26-2008 04:47 PM

How many years are left on Ford's contract?

I'm still hoping that they draft Augustin or Westbrook if he happens to drop, that way they can develop and cut ties with Ford if he doesn't pan out. If we get Augustin and Randolph we would have a solid core of good, young talent.

Evil Vito 06-26-2008 08:10 PM

<font color=goldenrod>God I fucking hate the Knicks.</font>

RoXer 06-26-2008 08:38 PM

YEAHHHH BAYLESS

I think the Pacers will be a hot team next year. If Diago finally busts out to his potential then I will adopt that team.

mrslackalack 06-26-2008 09:35 PM

Blazers got bout Diagou and Bayless. They are buliding into a serious contender with Roy, Alridge, Diagou finally in a position to show his potential and 2 young budding stars in Oden and Bayless.

mrslackalack 06-26-2008 09:38 PM

I guess Jamal Tinsleys time in Indiana is over with as hes gone from the starting PG to 3rd string behind Ford and Jack.

Crimson 06-26-2008 10:26 PM

I like Westbrook in Seattle but wtf with taking Ibaka with the 24th pick..he's gonna play overseas till like 2011 fuck he isn't even that good for the wait is he?

Do the Bobcats not like Felton at their point.. Augustin is a solid backup or maybe he can take the starting job since Felton had some injury concerns.

Crimson 06-26-2008 10:35 PM

CDR is still on the board..let's go Sonics, draft his ass

Crimson 06-26-2008 10:41 PM

Oh great we traded the pick to the Pistons for D.J White :|

Crimson 06-26-2008 10:46 PM

Fuckin Portland gets Dorsey..he'll be a Ben Wallace type player so put the Blazers in the finals within 3 years with all the players they got now.

SammyG 06-26-2008 10:51 PM

I anticipate RP to have some comments after this draft.

mrslackalack 06-26-2008 11:15 PM

What boneheaded ugh move will the Pacers do next? Trade Granger for a 2nd rd pick? lol

SammyG 06-26-2008 11:18 PM

Pacers trade TJ Ford for Chris Mihm

mrslackalack 06-26-2008 11:30 PM

I say the Bobcats went for a PG first rd instead of a big man because they are confident Morrison and May will return and be healthy and contribute.

mrslackalack 06-26-2008 11:55 PM

Lakers got a major sleeper in Joe Crawford.

KingofOldSchool 06-26-2008 11:56 PM

WOOOO I love the Hibbert pick, I think he's going to have a pretty good career.

SammyG 06-26-2008 11:58 PM

Aaaaand the Lakers select......

Joe Crawford. THE REF.

mrslackalack 06-27-2008 12:11 AM

Crawford is def a steal. He was highly regarded coming out of high school. 5 star player and McDonalds All American. He underachieved his first 3 yrs at UK under Tubby Smith but when Billy Gillspie became the coach Crawford showed his potential. He also had a solid NBA draft camp where I believe he scored 20 pts. He has a lot of heart and a great scorer. They did get it right however he needs to work on his quickness. He could be the backup to Kobe if Vujaic who is a FA goes elsewhere but if Vujaic stays I expect Crawford to be 3rd string or spend time in the D-League. Rajon Rondo has claimed he thinks Crawford will be a solid NBA player.

Juan 06-27-2008 12:19 AM

This could be good.

KingofOldSchool 06-27-2008 12:21 AM

Bird is fucking nuts for giving up Bayless and Diogu for two hacks and Rush,

Juan 06-27-2008 12:25 AM

^ Agreed.

mrslackalack 06-27-2008 12:44 AM

T-Wolves trade O.J. Mayo, Antoine Walker, and others to the Grizzlies for Mike Miller, Kevin Love, and Jason Collins and others

Juan 06-27-2008 12:49 AM

oh snap!

SammyG 06-27-2008 01:04 AM

what the FUCK is Memphis doing. My best friend is a Grizz fan, and it just pisses me off to see that their GM is the biggest idiot EVER. Antoine Walker, Marco Jaric? GTFO

mrslackalack 06-27-2008 01:37 AM

Theres even rumors out there that the Grizzlies want Haslem and David Lee bad and would be willing to trade Conley and Gay to get them! THe new Grizz GM and Larry Bird dont know what they are doing

Are you kidding me? The Grizz GM is an idiot? They basically just traded OJ Mayo and role player for Kevin Love and a role player...who would you rather have?

Kevin McHale is an idiot, the dude is just trying to get fired..First KG....now this? :|

Also, the majority of Memphis's roster is on their rookie contracts which means big money in free agency..I really hope you meant to say the T-Wolves GM is an idiot and just had a typo..

Gertner 06-27-2008 01:49 AM

Jazz got Koulas. Pretty pleased with our draft. Took 2 euros in the 2nd that we can stash in Europe until their ready.

YES THE CELTICS PICKED UP MY BOY...WOOOOOOOOO

mrslackalack 06-27-2008 02:40 AM

Walker is solid. Very prone to injuries however.

I think the 3 suprises for me not being drafted was

Miss St SG Jamont Gordon. Everyone had him projected to be drafted Some had him as high as a late 1st rder, For a while he was Bilas top remaining player on the board for a while but did not get drafted. He had declared early for the draft but did not hire an agent so he CAN return to Miss St. I think he will make an NBA roster and his stock will rise next season because he is pretty clutch and fits a NBA type of large PG plus the Freshmen Class of 2008 is nowhere as deep as the past 2 years.

USC SF Davon Jefferson Declared for the draft after only 2 seasons and hired an agent. Many thought he should have returned for his jr season. Cannot return to USC.

Tennesee G Chris Lofton. An example of somebody that should have declared early. Had Lofton declared for the draft his Jr Yr he would have been a late 1st early 2nd rd pick. He is small and not great at defense but has great character and a lights out shooter. He would be a great guy to come off the bench and shoot 3s like the Steve Kerr, Brent Barry, Kyla Korver types.

tman220 06-27-2008 02:57 AM

so the Blazers roster looks like Bayless Roy Outlaw Aldridge and Oden. I say they'll be in the West Finals with the Lakers

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-27-2008 02:59 AM

Lofton's release is slow and he is too small to be a Steve Kerr, Brent Barry or Kyle Korver type. I think he will catch on in the NBA with some team but I dunno, I think he'll need to do something else other than just be a 3 point shooter because I don't think that will get him playing time in the NBA. I am basing this off of this last season where he was battling the testicular cancer problem so may be I am unfair in my judgment though

SammyG 06-27-2008 03:17 AM

... They traded Mike Miller, as well. No, Stima, the MEMPHIS GM is an idiot. I would rather have Love on my team, over Mayo. Antoine Walker and Marco Jaric, who the fuck, come on now. Terrible trade for Memphis.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-27-2008 03:41 AM

lol you would rather have Kevin Love? Maybe in the future you could be right, but right now come on. The dudes biggest asset is that he is a great outlet passer :|

Love also fucks over Al Jefferson, will now have to stay at center rather than move over to his natural position of power forward. Miller is an alright player, his stats are inflated on a bad team but I am fan of his, however I would take OJ Mayo and Walker over Kevin Love and Miller for the simple fact that Love does not look like an NBA player at all. Jaric was simply a toss in for money purposes (much like Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins) so I dunno why you are so hung up on that.

RoXer 06-27-2008 07:30 AM

Alright, nevermind. The Blazers are now my adopted team.

RP 06-27-2008 09:24 AM

I'm officially no longer a Pacer fan. I'm done. I cant do it anymore. I cant believe what happend last night. I'm still shaking. I wanted to puke at work so badly. I still cant believe it. I knew Bird would find a way to fuck this up, but i didnt think it would be that badly. Bayless ( top 4 player in the draft ) and potential All NBA teamer falls right into our laps. So what does Bird do? He trades him for a role player who will never start ahead of Dunleavy or Granger a career backup and a former local High School star...

...

I cant believe it. I cannot believe this happend. Larry Bird is no legend. He's a peice of fucking shit. He's horrible. He's worse then Isiah Thomas the only difference is he's white. If Larry Bird was black, he's easily the worst GM in the league. He just flushed any future Indiana had down the drain. How does a Granger/ Bayless duo sound? I hope it sounds fucking fantastic because we'll never see it. Thank you Larry Bird and FUCK YOU! Go Back to Boston you fucking faggot.

Fantastic 17th pick though. Yah, that was a real smoothe one. Lets draft the slowest most unathletic guy in the draft and stun the fucking shit out everyone when we put him in our new " Up Tempo Shoot Three's and Run " style. No team will see that one coming. Good move. Yahh...

fucking clownshoes

Stuart Scott said the guy who paid like 50K for the shirt doc was wearing when Pierce dumped the gatoraid bucket on him should "get a life".

The guy got the shirt, signed by doc and pierce framed and the bucket, all money went to charity, Bill Parcells actually got the bidding going big time then I think gatoraid was bidding and stopped because they didn't want to take it away from a "true fan" so they just made a donation and the Celtics I think matched it as long as they get to borrow it for display.

This all being said as a guy said on the radio today "Stuart Scott made a career of 'boo-yah' and 'cooler then the other side of the pillow' how's that glass house buddy?"

SammyG 06-28-2008 12:16 AM

I have heard a few people say the Blazers next year will make it as far as the West Finals (never know the Jazz made the West Finals in 07 after having a few down yrs) I dont think they will yet. I do think however they are a playoff team but will bow out in a close series 1st rd or will get swept in beat in 5 in the Conf Semis

Juan 07-01-2008 12:19 AM

Brand and Maggette opt out

Quote:

Clippers forward Elton Brand joined teammate Corey Maggette today in opting out of the final season of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent.

Brand, who sat out all but eight games last season while recovering from a ruptured Achilles' tendon, immediately becomes one of the most attractive big men in the market.

He was owed $16.4 million had he stayed in the final year of his Clippers contract.

Maggette, the longest-tenured Clipper, also is one of the most attractive free agents in this off-season's market.
Baron Davis opts out

Quote:

Golden State point guard Baron Davis elected to become a free agent Monday night, opting out of the final year of his contract with the Warriors in a surprise move.
Artest does NOT opt out

Quote:

On the last night of the NBA Finals, Ron Artest said he was "99 percent sure" he wouldn't opt out of his contract with the Sacramento Kings. Make it 100.

"Not opting out," Artest told ESPN.com's Marc Stein via e-mail Monday night. "The Kings have been there for me, so the best I could do is stay in my contract."

Artest's agent, Mark Stevens, confirmed that his client will fulfill the final year, worth nearly $8 million.

Artest played in only 57 games due to injury last season and averaged 20.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-01-2008 12:45 AM

Wow, Davis just turned down almost 17 million by opting out. Has plenty of money obviously but still, that's A LOT to turn down. Guess he really wants that long term deal.

Ninti the Mad 07-01-2008 12:49 AM

Too bad SA cant afford him.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-01-2008 12:55 AM

They don't really need him though. I think he could potentially go to the Clippers, I heard that Elton Brand only opted out so he could resign for less and help the organization...that leaves more money for Davis (plus Corey Maggette just opted out as well, so I think the Clippers would have some money freed up)

I have no idea that Brand thing is true though, if not, imagine Brand going to a team like the Suns?

Juan 07-01-2008 01:15 AM

Antawn Jamison and Wizards agree to new deal

Quote:

Antawn Jamison said all along he was happy in the nation’s capital and it appears that hasn’t changed.

The Washington Wizards wasted little time assuring the return of Jamison -- reportedly agreeing to a new four-year deal with the All-Star forward.

Gertner 07-01-2008 09:55 AM

Gonna be a boring Off season for Utah.

RP 07-01-2008 04:18 PM

I think Kyle Korver is gunna man up and rape a girl this season. I think he has it in him. It'd be some good ole fashion street cred. He'd be the toughest white guy in Utah. Especially if it ends up being Matt Harprings wife.

McLegend 07-01-2008 10:23 PM

Baron Davis all ready signed with the Clippers.

McLegend 07-01-2008 10:24 PM

Probably will end up re-signing Elton Brand too.

mrslackalack 07-01-2008 10:41 PM

Baron Davis signs with Clippers

Crimson 07-01-2008 11:14 PM

Yea they def need to re sign Brand. That'll be a sick duo if healthy.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-02-2008 02:53 AM

Heard the Celtics are offering the mid-level exception to Corey Maggette, I dunno, we'll see. Probably would mean Posey is out though? I dunno about all that...

SammyG 07-02-2008 03:28 AM

Lake Show pushing for Posey.

ClockShot 07-02-2008 08:48 PM

Supersonics are gonna pay up to $75 million to get out of Seattle.

Juan 07-03-2008 01:10 AM

Poor Seattle bastards are left with the Mariners.

SammyG 07-03-2008 02:36 AM

...and the Seahawks.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-03-2008 02:53 AM

So stupid the Sonics are moving. Oklahoma City? Come on

Juan 07-03-2008 02:55 AM

Oh yeah.

RP 07-03-2008 07:37 AM

I would trade the Pacers for the Mariners right now.

RP 07-03-2008 07:43 AM

Brandon Rush does remind me of Pierce. I think he has that kind of game and could possibly turn into that type of player, the problem is, we have like 4 SF's. Wheres Rush gunna fit in? Play him at 2guard behind Dunleavy? Dunleavy will get atleast 80% of the minutes. You'd think something was in the works. If you draft Rush, you're telling me that you'll be trading Dunleavy or Granger. Because why else would you draft Rush? You dont draft a back up over a potential superstar PG/SG who would start right away. I like Rush. He might be the best perimeter defender in the draft. His defense is fantastic and he supposedly showed a ton of Offensive skill in the draft camps that no one knew he had because he was mostly being a " team player " at Kansas. I hope thats true. The guy was a top 5 pick a year ago before he tore his knee up. I like Rush alot, but why draft him if he aint got a shot at starting? Why over Bayless?

Crimson 07-03-2008 08:50 AM

Hmm not sure if I should still root for the Sonics..I don't wana be a fan of a hick team in Oklahoma. Kinda hard to just switch tho, so I dunno :/

SammyG 07-03-2008 08:59 AM

RP, You can ask "Why" about every aspect of the Pacers franchise. Larry Bird is terrible, and I feel sorry for all Pacer fans.

Eh, it wouldn't be a hick team just the state. Regardless of where they are, if you like the team then you should cheer for them unless you have something against the place.

I think I've seen what the jerseys could look like. They may have been made by some fans but if its legit the jerseys look really nice. The main colors are black and gold and white. Gold being the accent color.

There's a possibility that other NBA teams could move to other cities in the future too. If the Hornet's average attendance is below a certain number next year then they can opt out on their lease or whatever and leave town. Sacramento could move too especially since the Maloofs spend most of their time in Las Vegas. I've always wondered why LV didn't have a professional team and like the idea. I also like the idea of a team in OK so there could be more teams in the midwest but I'd rather have a team in Kansas City instead of OK. I thought driving through Kansas was boring but Oklahoma is pretty awful compared to it. At least near KC there's lots of cities and populated areas where people can come from to support the team instead of farm land galore in Oklahoma.

McLegend 07-08-2008 11:37 PM

Elton Brand bitches

SammyG 07-08-2008 11:54 PM

Good, getting him outta the Western Conference. Davis and Brand would be way too much to handle.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-09-2008 12:13 AM

Is that Brand thing gonna happen? I haven't seen it anywhere but on message boards

Also just read on Sportsline that Maggette is going to the Warriors, wonder if that means Posey will be back in Boston?

SammyG 07-09-2008 12:15 AM

Warriors desperately need a point guard now, good thing is they got cap space.

McLegend 07-09-2008 12:15 AM

O it's gonna happen

SammyG 07-09-2008 03:41 PM

Warriors offer Ronny 17 mil over 4 years. I personally hope we don't match that offer sheet, let him walk, he's not THAT good... Also that frees up more money for us to try to get Artest. We already have offered L.O. For Ron.

RP 07-09-2008 03:43 PM

I wonder if the Pacers can find a way to trade Tinsley to the Warriors for a small contingent of there average fags.

Crimson 07-09-2008 10:47 PM

Damn , a Brand/Davis combo woulda been sweet. Poor Clippers

SammyG 07-10-2008 12:13 AM

Poor Clips? Livingston is coming back, isn't he? Kaman is a good underrated center, and they got B-Diddy now...

What sucks is that they lost Maggette.

IC Champion 07-10-2008 04:45 PM

And that the Warriors signed Maggette. Poor Clippers.

Nah Livingston is a free agent. So from last years team they lost Maggette and added Baron Davis (since Brand only played 8 games) probably going to finish with around the same record.

RP 07-11-2008 07:09 AM

I read the Clips might make a run at Okafer

he's no Brand, but he's pretty good.

RP 07-11-2008 07:12 AM

Is it just me or does the East look like it might be the best conference. Not only all the superstars on the East side, but alot of teams drafted bright futures.. I guess Indiana might be one. Beasly and Rose both in the East. Lebron, Arenas, KG, Pierce, Bosh, Travis Diener, Wade, Howard.
