PS3 has "trophies". Their version of achievements.

I just battled the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. This game is just amazing. The dialogues are great, Peter is his usual hilarious self, Egon is a nerdy as ever, it's just great. I don't think I've ever anybody repeat a line in the entire time I have played.

Just one question: How do I upgrade weapons? I have just blasted through the game up to after the Stay Puft battle without returning to the Firehouse. Is there a special place in the firehouse to upgrade the equipment?

You can upgrade any time, just pause and there will be a tab for upgrades.

I'm doing pretty good on Pro now. Got past one spot I was stuck at. Was really close last night a lot of times apparently. Beat the next level too, then called it a night. Only complaint is the A.I. at times. The characters don't know how to step back and shoot, they always got to be right on top of the monsters, and then they get incapped. IE the boss of the library level. But once I started using the portals in the room, things got easier.

This game is great. And torching stay puft was my wet dream.

On that website DVDBoxOffice above, it says the format is in NTSC. I thought the Ghostbusters games on the platforms where all region free?

I suspect its only a typo from the website, but thats going to be a right kicker if infact it is region locked to America.

NTSC is a video format, not a region. The game is region free.

The inner Ghostbusters mark has got the better of me and I've just ordered it. Now just you watch it get held up at customs :mad:

Not in the sense of Player 2 jumping in as one of the other Ghostbusters to play through the main storyline, no.

These stone angel cunts are seriously pissing me off, this is one of these games where theres barely a difficulty curve, it just spikes up at unexpected places. :foc:

Seems more or less the same as how the cartoon actually turned out. The only difference is the costumes being the same color, and based on the movie. That's cool, but I guess they wanted to switch them up for the purposes of a colorful cartoon.
I would probably have preferred they were the same color, like in the movies. That always kind of irked me, even as a kid. Not as much as Egon's blonde hair, and Ray and Venkman looking like vice versa.

I still liked that they explained the new colors though, and dedicated an episode to how it happened, and how the series bridged with the first movie. Probably the best episode.

We will have to play online sometime soon. See who the ultimate ghostbuster is. Wearing my GameStop t-shirt right now.

I really love this game. I have all but 2 of the single player achievements. Beat it on pro, and under 100k in damage. I'll do another run to get the 100k, but I'm having big doubts with beating it on pro, because of those stupid stone angel things at the cemetery. :(

I'm going to give online a go in a bit.

Lately though, developers are leading on the PS3 and then porting to the 360, because it means less trouble at the end. It's easier to upscale a game developed on the PS3 to benefit the 360 than it is to downgrade a 360 game when porting to the PS3.

I've started it on Pro and going for the shit ton damage one. The only trouble I've had thus far is during Stay Puff level where you are with ray and you go into the building, up the elevator. Then you have to destroy all those little shits, and Ray is obviously no help. Was stuck there for an hour, but next day beat it easily. Otherwise, the library boss was a bit of a challenge. But if you use the portals to move around the level it ain't that bad. Not much farther than that. was playing the museum then it froze and never went back yet. But overall starting with pro wasn't much of a challenge, though by sounds of it not looking forward to stone angels.

So. I get this phone call from a Professor Jones. Says he's looking for the Painting of Viggo the Carpathian. It's like a historic national treasure and that it belongs in a museum.

What i don't get is why they don't seel a poster of that painting. I've looked and had no success. I would love an actual painting of it, would be willing to be a fair amount for it too. Looked a few months ago and found nothing, very upsetting.

Logic tells me zapping ghosts on the Wii would be awesome. History tells me that it would be a massively inferior version.

Well, I just hear it's not nearly as fun.

Also, the 360 version which I played is cinematic, with a lot of emphasis on the characters and locations from the movie.
I feel like half of what makes the experience great would be lost by playing an inferior looking cartoon version of it.

You heard wrong about the Wii version. It's actually alot more fun then it was on the Xbox360. Actually throwing traps and wrangling ghosts....money.

Wii has story co-op I think. Wish 360 had that but other than that love the game.

Well, I went through and beat all the bosses on pro, so I guess I shouldn't have a problem with the campaign? Also, here are the 25 pics in the new picture pack.

Loving it so far, just completed the epic Stay Puff fight. Words cannot express how much I love this :love:

I am enjoying it, but... being a bit archaic with my PS2 I get the cartoony version. :'(

Gonna have to upgrade... and buy this game again.

After playing this at a friends house, I went out and bought a PS3 for the sole purpose of playing this game.

Absolutely loved it. Im on what I assume is the last boss. I stopped short of beating it because i didnt want it to be over yet.

Hope they make another one.

I really loved that it was much more than just a shoot em up game. The wrangling of the ghosts, the slime tether, PKE meter.

There was much more to it then just running around zapping ghosts. I like when games do that. As much as I love a game like Halo, its pretty much just running around emptying rounds into enemies.

Just polished this off on medium difficulty. Could have sworn I got all the relics and was under $100,000 in damage for the first crack. Now I gotta go back and do the hidden missions and find whatever goodies I missed before I enter pro difficulty.

Love this game. Wish it was longer :(

that is my only real gripe with the game...i felt so short!

Well that and I wish I could put some traps into the containment unit.

Has anyone got the online achievements for the 360? Have done couple of them but they haven't popped up and unlocked. Are they really glitched or something?
